Illinois's definitely played the best game all year in college basketball. They scored 109 points against a good Oregon team. They made 16 Three pointers and looked like the best team in college basketball this year
@ he’s a skinny freshman that’s struggled it happens to almost every freshman in CBB. Ben was also struggling before today I have faith in Will he was a 5star prospect for a reason
@@hb-ex4plDistinction being, he isn't without talent, and lots of it. If he's still without confidence and consistent production in two months, that's a different conversation. This team was built so that, outside of KJ, they just need guys to play well enough as a group. I believe he'll get there, and add to the that collective soon enough.
Yes, I agree it is scary in a good way that this will be a good challenge for Duke, especially since the ACC has not been at its strongest this year. It's something to look forward to and see how far both teams will run before the tourney comes up.
Go ahead and celebrate this one at the BEGINNING of conference play. It's a long season to stay hot the whole time, especially when it counts around tournament time
Underwood teams generally get better as the year goes on so… I like our ceiling. Especially being as young and all new to the team. Could be scary come March!
@@618grow I disagree. I think NIL evened the playing field for teams like Illinois. Now that all teams can spend money on players it’s fair. And just so happens that Illinois has deep pockets! Brad is proving right now that he can put together a team from scratch. We have 1 returning player from last year. Illinois from the AD down has embraced these changes and it’s showing… and I’m all for it!
New year, same Ducks. Sweet 16 is their ceiling, maybe elite 8 if they get some lucky break matchups in the dance….. assuming they get there. This is just the start of them regressing to their mean. They will have to stave off a major implosion if they want to hang on as a bad seed at large bid by the time their season is over, as I don’t see them winning the B1G tourney. I can even see them being forced to play their way in as a first four team. They have done enough against the garbage on their schedule and built up enough credit by catching TTU and Bama at the right time early in the season, so it would take a pretty big implosion for them to be relegated to the NIT, but it’s Oregon so you can’t rule that out as their rock bottom regardless of how good of a start they are off to on the season.
What was your favorite highlight from this game?
when it ended
My fav and the best highlight from this game was the one that you didn’t show. The no look pass from KJ late in the 2nd half was absolutely insane!
All of them
All of it.

UK fan here. Would have been difficult for any team to beat Illinois tonight. Yikes

Absolutely. Hope my UW Huskies can pull off an upset today.
Once Will Riley gets going the sky’s the limit for this team
*if - he was shooting 17% across 5 games befor this

To start 0-7 from 3 and finish the game shooting 55% from range is wild. I wonder how many times that’s happened…. 🤔
Illinois Point Guard can definitely finish very good at the basket.🏀
As a Duke fan, this Illinois team's starting to scare me pretty good
Hey, see you at MSG in February. Should be interesting.
Well they almost beat Tennessee

@@hsien-en_2007 Oh for sure
What an a** whooping! Not sure what Oregon can really do when every Illinois player is raining threes
thats what i said. illinois literally had more 3s than oregon has 3s attempted. thats wild
they gonna go deep in the tourny
Don't jinx us
Illini shot really well. I think Oregon is still good. But losing by 25+ I didn’t see coming. Especially at home.
What an unreal performance from the Illini. I've never seen them dominate from start to finish like that against such a good team
This is no surprise they looked good against Tennessee to. They are easily a top 10 team
It was a fun game to watch.
So proud of Illinois ❤❤❤❤
Flying Illini looking like Contenders!
first basketball game I've ever seen where it looks like a team is somehow cheating, literally couldn't miss a three
Wow Oregon got cooked 🔥...awesome stuff ILLINI

I am a Wisconsin fan but I knew Oregon was way overrated and good job Illinois
Illinois is just underrated
Not surprising, illinois is clearly a better team. Too bad the media and pollsters werent smart enough to recognize that before
Oregon is having a tough new year!😬
Not ninth anymore.
and not 22 anymore

@quintsummers5524 true but the NIL ruined college sports this roster will be different next year

Illinois was on fire, but that Oregon defense was not Division I level defense. Lazy, dispirited switching and movement.
Wow!
GO ILLINI. Let's finish business on Sun.
Oregon needs to learn quick. Can't play horrendous D like that and expect these good B10 teams not to hurt them. Gonna chop it up to a bad day.
I always get mad at my nephew for the playing the game on rookie mode.
Typed in BTA and this popped up

How is Mizzou not top 25 going neck and neck with this Illinois team and beating the number one team in the country at the time?
They will be soon.

From what I have seen Oregon is going to be a high seed who are going to get upset in the round of 32

The Illini looked unbeatable on the road against a top 10 team. I can see them being in the top 10 very soon.
