Everyone is so quick to judge and hate Isabella, and rightfully so at first look, but we get to see how innocent and brave she was just like Emma. Losing her friend broke her spirit and made her vulnerable allowing them to brainwash her into thinking a human’s only purpose was to be consumed. Throughout the series she’s seen as cold and heartless but I believe she does this as a coping mechanism because deep down that little girl who was full of life and longed for freedom is still inside of her. In the end she couldn’t suppress her true feelings any longer and in a way was set free when her children escaped. She’s become one of my favorite anime characters because it just goes to show how grand a person’s will to survive can be and ultimately was a victim herself.
Seriously though! She did everything because she wanted to survive, it’s kinda poetic the fact that she is in the exact same position as the children and has no freedom either
Actually Suzy, Isabella loves her children, but she has to send them out at the demons’ demands. She broke Emma‘s leg and tried to manipulate her because if Emma left Isabella would have to send out the small ones. In the end Isabella is a good bitch after all. As Isabella told Norman, she is happy because she could meet the wonderful person that Norman is.
Here's what I think is so poetic about Season 1: Isabella was so much like Emma. We see history repeats itself. But while Isabella had a "Norman", she didn't have a "Ray". It took all three of them to win. Isabella didn't have that, but she created it for the next generation.
The promised neverland has 181 chapters in manga season 1 adapted 36 season 2 145 important arcs and characters were omitted. now i know you will watch season 2 but have you considered reacting to the manga after finishing the anime? or at least read it off screen so you know how the real story continues, which is amazing.

Why People hate season 2: =( Season 1 adapted 4 and a half volumes of Manga, but season 2 adapted 15 and a half volumes into 10 episodes. Season two omits lots of info, is so rushed that it seems way to convenient, complete arcs and characters are ignored and they made some crucial changes to the original manga story 😮

Yep. The moms are never supposed to know who their baby was. To prevent both favoritism and some mom perhaps trying to help her child escape or committing suicide. Only Grandma (overall human in charge of the plant) has access to the records of who produced what child. This is all shown in the Manga.
Mama Isabella 😭😭😭 I hated her at the beginning but seeing ep 12 and read the manga... she's a beloved character she did her best to survive and to make sure that her children will live a longer and happy life... she loves them genuinely 😭😭😭

To survive and let children live the best life for the time they have, because she loved them. Her maen self isn't who she really is and it is VERY sad, you saw the way she looked when she realized that Ray was her real baby- she didn't want it to be true.
Isabell actually does love her children with all her heart but in her mind since the situation was as hopeless as it was all she figured she could do for them was to make their lives as happy as possible before they were shipped. And really how can anyone blame her for not thinking she could help any of the kids escape, it’s essentially her and the kids vs their entire world. So she did everything she could for them to have happy lives.
You should watch Monster by Naoki Urasawa. It’s a great show and will be a good replacement for this show. It has the same vibe as death note and this one but better

As someone who didn't read the manga for this anime I went into season 2 blind and didn't think it was horrible like people make it out to be. Perhaps if I had read the manga before watching I would have had the same reaction but that wasn't the case. I would advise for you to still watch the second season if you want because they answer A LOT of the questions that this season didn't address. Just watch it and form your own opinion about it even if you don't react to the season. I almost didn't watch it due to the bad comments but ended up enjoying it in the end despite the fact that it was not perfect. If anyone is wondering why I didn't just read the manga then the answer is simply because I already read a lot due to university and I didn't feel like reading anything for this show when I could just watch the anime. Anyways I know most people don't agree with my view but that's fine.
I like Isabella's fate better in the anime (even though its less realistic) so there is that. And it's not a terribly done anime, it just leaves so many beloved characters and arcs out. They really needed at least two more seasons of 12 (for a total of 3 seasons) to really do this manga justice.
It's a pity that you have to do it like that, but really, it would have been better for you to discover the sequel with the manga, because the anime missed it: it's an adaptation scenario disaster.
Unfortunately, season 2 didn't turn out so well because they changed a lot from the manga or even left it out, which changes the complete ending, you should read the manga privately after season 2 to understand everything because it's really good
I deffinatly recommend that you read the books the plot and story line is so much better and it also goes further into the story than the tv show, they made the story line in the anime different to the manga, and the characters are more expressed in it. so yeah deffo recommend :))

Haven't watched season 2 yet but my favorite headcanon would be If she'd be able to pass some critical info to Phil so he could essentially be the new ray who knows of everything and would be able to tell the other kids when they're a little older so they'd be able to prepare for their escape and work together with Emma in the future however I guess they'll probably immediately kill Isabella as soon as possible and replace her with a new mom and/or move them to another facility

So you are basically faced with a choice of cooperation or death and given little information or time to choose. This is also the same time you are learning your family or friends that have went before you are almost certainly all dead. And not just by accident, they were turned into food! Yeah, it's very easy to say you'd make the 'right choice'. Of course, in fact, had Isabella been replaced (and she would be) by some hypothetical other mom the kids lives, short as they are, would have been even less happy and even shorter because Isabella is one of the best, maybe THE best of all moms ever in a system that has been going for around 1000 years. Yes, Isabella saw the cliff. But that wouldn't magically let her know about the farms or any of that. All it did was prevent her from running away to join her 'puppy love' and HINT that something wasn't right. So she learned Leslies fate on her shipment date. Anyway, it's easy to condemn but Isabella worked under the assumption escape was impossible and so all she could do was give the kids the best time on Earth she could. Now that she's learned different, what will she choose to do? Both the manga and Season 2 answer this question, though in slightly different ways.

Don't listen to the naysayers, give the second season a shot blind and form your own thoughts on it. Once you have that you can compare to the manga.
I relied Isabella cucouldn’t slide down and get the kids because sister krona ded if you step one foot out of the farm a shock wave will Mack you’re hart stop so that is probably why Isabella did not slide down and she diden’t hav sum thing to slid down it with.

The 2nd season is actually good overall, and I’d love to see you react to it. The only part that I strongly disliked was the last episode, and you’ll probably understand why when you see it.
I kind of regret having watched it instead of reading the manga because they condensed so much story into 10 episodes, but if you have no intentions of reading the manga you might as well watch the anime

I'm glad you're gonna watch season 2 with an open mind and form your own opinion. I don't really think it deserved all the hate that it got. I think it's probably just because season 1 was so damn good that season 2 couldn't live up to the hype so people thought it was bad just because their expectations were too high.

Of course, in fact, had Isabella been replaced (and she would be) by some hypothetical other mom the kids lives, short as they are, would have been even less happy and even shorter because Isabella is one of the best, maybe THE best of all moms ever in a system that has been going for around 1000 years. Yes, Isabella saw the cliff. But that wouldn't magically let her know about the farms or any of that. All it did was prevent her from running away to join her 'puppy love' and HINT that something wasn't right. So she learned Leslies fate on her shipment date. Anyway, it's easy to condemn but Isabella worked under the assumption escape was impossible and so all she could do was give the kids the best time on Earth she could. Now that she's learned different, what will she choose to do? Both the manga and Season 2 answer this question, though in slightly different ways.
