Good to see you out doing your thing. I have every confidence you'll keep getting better. I'm sure you knew this wouldn't be easy when you started the build. Can't wait to see you passing out the buthurt.
You’re doing great Molly! I know there are a lot of things happening and happening fast in a stick car. Just like everything in life , it just takes practice. I agree that a shift light will help a ton. Over revving the motor will be one less thing you have to focus on so hard with that installed.
Practice makes perfect. Definitely need a line lock. You can also use it to hold the car on the line when staging. Also a 2 step will help for burnouts.
Billy's right that's just the way that clutch is the more aggressive you are with it the better Molly you can't hurt it just slam it into gear it will take it!
My Daughters Love your channel Molly. They wanna build a car together. Both can drive manual. Keep grinding no matter what the haters say. You're getting better 😎
...this is so awesome - I would not be a minute from my house with slicks on & I would be pulled over - you are rollin' the city loking for a test spot, I just love it !...
The start of the video of you rolling through town with some old school spaghetti style western music and end up at a shooting? Epic stuff right there. Practice makes perfect. Someday the kids are gonna watch these videos in awe of how cool you guys were. The governor would probably love your 'input' in the form of a good burnout.
Good video Molly!! Lots of various content. One suggestion, small shift light, put it on top of your steering column, small pin Lazer type. Wind it up before shifting so the engine gets it's power band.....around 5500 rpms. Please guys, be safe always. Love this family!! 😎👍🏁
Nice job you did good you gotta start somewhere tho. An go figure it was interrupted by a shooting. 🤦. That mustang is a beauty I love those year mustang. An the fast backs
Get that girl a line loc, and put a limiter on it, tell her foot to the floor til she’s on the limiter. She’s afraid of the car. Not a bad thing If she’s inexperienced, but she’s gotta build her confidence
She had good reason to be scared of a car only weighing 1400kg with 600+hp My 5.0 wouldn't go over 5000 rpm.... I could easily spin that car around on dry pavement in 2nd gear....and with Armstrong steering is a little scary
Add a Line Lock and it help I Promise. The purpose of a line lock it locked the front tires in Place letting the back tires spin to do burnouts this will work I promise God bless you and Billy both
Daamnnnn ol boy drove the hell out that foxbody. She runs really good 👍I’m here to watch the process of you becoming a top contender in that beast! Subbed.
Excellent content again Molly! Way to go! You are getting seat time, I agree with Billy SHIFT LIGHT please! I was going to say someone was short shifting! Wasn't sure if she was doing it on purpose which is fine if that's the case. Have a great weekend coming up most of all enjoy! ✌
@@kentuckywildcat3752 yes definitely funner but in today's world of drag racing they just aren't competitive anymore the advances in the automatic transmission have come so far
I'll tell you what. For someone who just started racing stick. You are doing better then almost any girl I know and better then most of my friends. I watch your channel the old man's and Billy's. You guys keep at it. I enjoy watching you tearing shit up. Lol
what's the compression ratio on this thing? as for watering the tires, get thee to a junkyard and nab the windshield washer sprayer and hook that up in the rear wheel wells, and wire up the idiot lights as a shift light (I'm trying to remember if a car that old had the "upshift for economy" light on it, pretty sure it does--put it to good use). If the tires are in fact hooking, a burnout's not needed for them to hook, the hop is in the suspension. the tire does what the tire does, its a moving live axle that changes angle of application.
Have you all thought about putting Each emergency brake cable on its own lever it's the road crowns you can apply brake to one side to get it to stay straight
@Littleblockfox 90 I'm 5'3" and by the time I can reach the clutch I'm practically against the steering wheel otherwise I would have gotten a manual. Maybe down the road I'll switch and find a way to move the pedals.
Always improving. Too much negativity in not very many comments...don't let it put you off! I'm from England and here we almost all drive manual / stick cars, auto's are becoming more common, but it's second nature banging gears for us, whereas it's a skill you are learning. Just give it time, persevere and you'll be kicking ass!
Autometer makes a nice small digital tach with led shift lights and they are bright. It even has a launch light you can set. And the shift you can make it be progressive as you can make it change colors as you get closure to the shift point. I like it
I suggested a shift light when I suggested that motor it's a good idea until she's got much experience also a line lock for a stick car is a must for beginner or novice
The Car sounds Good! Had a New '92 5.0 LX for six weeks as a Company Car. Took me that long to get 12 points. And I got breaks because I have that Red Heart on my license ( Organ Donor ).
Double pedal the brake and gas and get the rrrrrr’s up and dump the clutch to heat them tires up. It’s actually pretty easy. But I’m sure she has small feet so it might be hard for her.
Have you tried backing up, shifting info 1st, reving hard and poping the clutch... If it van do burn-out with those tires on stick shift... it should do them in that case. Weight of the moving car rearwards and suprising the momentum with the poping clutch forward should brake them loose... Even underpowered cars can do them in that case. Let me know if it helps ;) Advice from Europe, stick shift is just about all we drive here... But I love my Tahoe and US v8 power!! :D
Bring 2 gallon's of water with you. Have her back in the water so the whole rear tire will get wet. Then drive out of the water and do your burnout as soon as it hooks let off so you don't pick up rocks and crap on your hot slicks. Then back up in your tracks of rubber. It will heat the slicks much better then the way your doing it now! Yes line lock is going help her out a lot with out a doubt. The shift light is a must, and has to come first. Try it the way I described and you will be shocked! Have fun and I Love your car Molly!! Good luck!
You guys need to cruise up to Canton at Meyer's Lake shopping center on Whipple on a Saturday night probably at least 50 to 75 car's there, we have our race spots
That’s the best run I ever saw her car make , when your buddy made a hit with it !!! Holy smackers it was like gone lol .. how come you not take for a run ? Anyway good video as always 👍
You're doing good driving that transmission. Half the people commenting probably can't even out shift my grandmother. I almost thought that trans sounded faceplated though. If that clutch is anything like my king Cobra clutch, I feel for that left knee lol..
Love your car, that thing sounds so sweet. My brothers old mustang had a spec clutch and it was real grabby, like a light switch, on or off. Would shudder if you tried to drive it easy.
@5:40 and 6:20 we agree Billy, the leave is better than just fair, it was pretty good and yeah, a shift light would help her a ton. Most guys learn how to 'hear' the revs and we just know when it's time - but not so sure that skill is in a girls DNA. We don't want her watching a rev counter instead of focus on the track either so a light in her perifery - that's the answer for her.
I love your hole family and molly!, but guys please be real careful running around up there!, they shoot at anything or anyone!. I use to run green gables, jer rd us drive in and eventually we raced down mores Rd up by northland shopping center!, but those days are gone. I think it's great molly learning how to race her car!. Same, and she meant it. Wish I knew where little Mikey resides.
Bonus is, she’s smoking Hot!!!
Now, if she manages to powershift 3rd in that car I might have to move down there and steal her from that dude she's with. Just sayin'!
Sorry to break it to ya buddy, their a power couple there’s no stealing her from him😂

Line lock for your burnouts.
I came here to make the same comment. A line lock would likely her her out.
As did I
I just dump the clutch in 3rd gear at 7k, its usually plenty heat but yea a LL would help her
Same here. Line lock will solve her problem seven fold.
Same as a roll control
