You may or not know this, but at minute 1:14 when you can see the top of the shift shaft, one arm goes to the shift cable, but where does the other arm connect too? It looks like this one is capped off and goes nowhere.
What mix does this take because I just recently got one but I think it’s an 85 I’m not sure when I search up the serial number it doesn’t do anything the registration says it’s a 1985 it’s the same motor and I’m just not two wises in the outboard world

Can you add an electric starter to this motor? I have same motor and I get tired of the pull cord.
Myn has an electric starter(key ignition) but it's not a tiller, it has a controller.
