There was also a Finnish version of the Weakest Link (the tv show), called Heikoin Lenkki. This name is amusing because "lenkki" can also be translated as "sausage".
@@Amaritudine I think the Finnish use is then a bit broader, comparatively. I doubt most people these days pay attention to whether or not their lenkkis are still linked or not. "Lenkki" has a bunch of other meanings too, most of which I'd probably be more inclined to translate as "loop" rather than "link".

The animal that we call elk (or wapiti, if you're feeling feisty) is closely related to the Eurasian "red deer" -- they used to be considered the same species, although I don't think that's the case anymore

It didn't work well and after three weeks the show was shut down and was basically forgotten by everyone.

I love how y'all are talking about British hosts and mentioning Simon Cowl and Gordon Ramsey, but the first British host I remember (though not mean) was Clive Anderson on "whose line is it anyway?" I miss those original episodes that played on Comedy Central and, living in California, I had a hard time understanding the cast through their accents but I loved it.
The other difference there (besides the meaness) was that with Clive you're actually watching the British version of the program. While you can do that with the others they also hosted the American version of the game.

And Ryan and Colin were regularly appearing by the end of that run. I still think Clive was the better host but people get stuck on what they're use to.

I actually still own the American version of this on PS1. I got it in a bundle with Who Wants to Be a Millionaire for 10 bucks American. What's cool about it is one of the contestants is from Grand Forks, North Dakota which is near where I live.

Absolutely mad that "normal" difficulty reduces all answers to just initials. How is that not labelled "hard"?
I'm guessing hard mode just gives you the first letter of the first answer then.
