well done! What kind of cholesterol levels did they have?

    • @susieq725

Interesting! I had high cholesterol as well as most of my family, it was like 250 (which isn’t even that bad)and my dr wanted to put me on statins and I refused saying it’s hereditary and no heart issues in the family AND lots of studies refuting the link.
Anyway, fast forward a year and I had a bad fall off my horse, hit my head on a rock but was wearing a helmet, (still got a concussion) right after that I started having erratic periods, blood pressure swings, gained 30 lbs over a year! My dr put me on hyrdrochliothiozide mixed with lysinopril, my cholesterol went to 580! He told me he wasn’t concerned because it was a side effect of the BP meds!! I was flabbergasted. How many people have high cholesterol due to them taking BP meds??
I went in to menopause early and nearly died from my BP dropping too low, I lost consciousness and had to be given epinephrine in the ambulance because it went down to 56/35. Needless to say I was taken off the BP meds and low and behold-a year later my cholesterol back down to 250.
I also think the fluctuations are due to a Vegas nerve problem that causes issues with BP, hormones, etc.
my point to sharing this story is that I believe many of our health problems are directly related to the meds they push on us.

I understand that estrogen plays a role in cholesterol levels. It seems that many functions are impacted by hormones. Between the gut microbiome and hormones, I think we are missing a big link to overall health. Wouod be good to have proper treatment instead of band aids/ treating symptoms.

I can happily accept that there may be a place for statins, either as intended or in some secondary capacity, but for myself if I ever felt the need to lower cholesterol, [as in their primary function] I'd opt for a gentler approach either with natural remedies and/or magnesium supplements, though I add that to my veg beds as a matter of course anyway. I would think that eating unprocessed foods and staying active is the best way to avoid problems , or lessen the chance of them.
Dr McCullough is an exemplary doctor, with one of the sharpest minds I've had the privilege of encountering in various of these online discussions. His grasp of the topic under scrutiny is invariably outstanding. I've never once seen him refer to notes and his recall of supportive data is completely fluent.

Statins cause a host of side effects from muscle pain through to brain damage. For next to no benefit, especially as bad cholesterol is a very small part of even of the LDL component, and can be rectifies by eating a proper human diet, rather than the junk food most people eat. Cholesterol is essential to ever cell and many hormones in the body. If you are really lucky you might live 3 days longer if you take one every day for 10 years. Far better than this snake oil is better food choices. Taking a minimum of 5000 iu a day of Vit D and for most people Vit K2 at 200mcg. would be far better for your vasculature.

Hi Phil, as we know "correlational, of itself, does not equal causation", do you think there could be confuonders at play here?
Q1..Do statins interfere with vitamin D production?
Q2..Do statins interfere with Co Q 10 production.
Q3..Are statins usually prescribed with no analysis of lipid sub-fraction,
large buoyant v small dense oxidized.
Q4..Do triglycerides come into play at all?
Q5..Is there any influence from glycated hemoglobin?
Q6..As metabolic health is vital, have we accounted for blood glucose and insulin levels?
Q7..As a1c is an unreliable test for fructose and fructose is much more damaging than glucose, do you think this could be relevant.
Interested in your opinion as the above relates directly to covid risk Profile.

I commented earlier today on your another of your videos. This one has twangy audio aberrations that are indicative of bit level compression adjustments as a data circuit becomes temporarily slowed due to physical conditions, such as traffic overload. In those cases the data connection pauses to downshift to a slower transmission rate to compensate for the slowdown. This "twangy" distortion (training) is exactly the same as what is heard often on a poor quality cell phone connection. Those who remember dial-up connections over modems would recognize these sounds. Put simply, your internet service provider's equipment is having problems sustaining the quality of your connections. Possible causes are aggressive capacity overbooking, faulty equipment or cabling (yours or theirs), atmospheric interference (on wireless connections, (especially on voice over ip circuits). Audio is especially susceptable because unlike data, which can be buffered so that you don't notice fluctuations in line throughput, audio becomes unintelligible when signal timing (clocking) is not precisely maintained. HTH.

High cholesterol was detected at my recent med exam. Doc proposed a statin. With all the bad publicity on statins, I opted for a plant based treatment: Redusterol Plant Sterol powder by Vitamode.
Ques1: Are plant based treatments as effective as statins?
With the bad publicity on pharmaceuticals in recent years, there seems to be a concerted shift to plant based treatments. Plant based Stem cell supplements are now available and the market is booming!
Ques 2: Considering this current shift to plant based treatments, is this as effective as starins? What are the points of attention in taking plant based treatments/supplements. Thank you for addressins the topic in statins... though it seems to be controversial at this point.

    Statins are bad for athletes.
Look up the LMHR study. Lean athletic people are healthy.

When I turned 60 a few years ago, my GP wanted to put me on a statin because I turned 60! That suggestion was in the absence of even an iota of evidence that I required one. Needless to say, I haven't been back to that pill pushing pharma shill since. If its ever suggested, you "need" one, take a look at the studies involving Olive Leaf & Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and ask your doctor if that would be a viable alternative. Be prepared, however, for a blank stare.

Great info, love the illustrations. There is an ad for the jabs under your video. Sustained propaganda doesn't work on me, I just ignore in the same way I ignore other forms of interference.

I was prescribed statins after having an adverse reaction to a certain medical intervention which has been in the news lately. Chest pain and heart issues 4 days after getting a certain injection. Anyway it resulted in me having an angiogram and a stent installed in my left atrium. I played along despite having some doubts and a few weeks into taking the statins I got up off of a sofa and felt my left side kind of blackout. I had Vision issues on my left eye. It was later discovered that that may have been a micro stroke. Or a mini stroke. That was just over two years ago. To this day when I am tired I feel that my left eye becomes weaker and it is extremely disturbing. Needless to say I no longer take any statins and I will never be taking any more statins for the rest of my life. Thanks anyway. Unfortunately I have no legal recourse to go after the people that pushed them on me in the first place. And after that weird medical intervention I have no idea why I succumbed to the pressure to take them in the first place. My respect and trust of medical authorities is almost completely non-existent at this point. There is one GP who showed true integrity and support during this entire process. Every single other Medical Professional save a few very sweet nurses showed nothing but disdain, unprofessionalism and hubris throughout my medical processes. We have a long way to go before we fix our precious Medical systems. A long way.

@@douglashewitt5064 Dr Been does some cute illustrations on his site but he does seem to follow the official narrative by the media. I know many people who simply can't cope with alternative possibilities. They absolutely lose the plot at the idea that it possibly didn't come from a wet market. We still have no idea what actually happened just a bunch of theories that no one can agree on.

I was put on statins, they tried three different ones. All caused increased muscle pain, more brain fog and fatigue. I have Long COVID, increased neuropathic pain and all my symptoms greatly increased. No more statins for me. My doc keeps pushing them. Big NO!
