Have you had any issues with line roller? Mine not working properly. Wants to upgrade to bearings in line roller but I cannot take line roller off, got stuck in bail.
Great video! wondering if there is an easier way to insert ball bearing on the side of the cover, refers to 40:53 in the video. I managed to destroy it on my BG 5000 😳😳
Hi Vladimir. Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately there is no fast way to install the side bearing. The only thing that can be done is to smooth out the gear post until the side bearing slides in and out smoothly as shown at 37:35 - 38:15 . Also a wooden chopstick helps with pressing the bearing in.
@@vladocamus BG monocoque is a completely different reel, different design and different construction. Monocoque reels are much easier to service and maintain. However you will need a special tool to open the side plate of all monocoque reel. Its about 30-80 USD for the tool depending on the size of reel and the makers of the tool.
@@solunaranglingconfidante417 thanks.have one more question. I have another daiwa bg. I replaced the bushing with bearings in line roller. Line roller rolls nicely before I screw it into bail arm. Even if I do not screw it tightly, once I connect line roller to bail arm and screw, It does not roll anymore. What is the problem? How can I solve it? Thanks
Nice video boss! And because of you I’m buying shares in a grease factory.
Thanks!! I was able to disassemble and reassemble my 1 year old BG6500 that had a sluggish rotor and it’s back working good as new!!🎣🎣

Great video very clear 👍😁
Why no second guide? I saw on other videos two guides.
I was experimenting with video time. Some videos will have 3 parts, some have 2 and some will have all the dissassembling and reassembling in one vid

@@solunaranglingconfidante417 Thanks for reply! 😊Did you know if there is the same challenge on the new BG monocoque? Is it the same construction?

My line roller has not been working properly. Wanted to upgrade to bearings but my line roller is stuck there, can not take it out.
Any suggestions?

@uzunerfatih you need a slightly thinner bearing to replace the bushing. Same ID and OD, but thinner
Where can i find the line roller
You can order from plat.jp or from your local tackle dealer
