Down through the years I've found that it is often better to cut the line on a fish hooked deep. The hook desolves away in a couple weeks and the fish will still eat even with the hook (I've caught some fish off my dock that I hooked a few times). If you need to really dig around to get at the hook, save the time out of the water and the tisue damage and just cut the line.
I LIKE FRIENDLY CONVERSATION BETWEEN THE TIM'S lol my take is .i use a soft rod and .i use1/16 oz jigs and crawlers and use pliers to smash the barb. a soft rod held high and tension and I get most fish, my take Tim and Tim from Tim LOL
The hook was deep in the throat and on really deep hooks, you are better off cutting the line close to the hook versus tearing the esophagus as the hooks will rust out fairly quickly.
Great fishing! Jason, do you ever use lures to catch walleyes? If so, what are your favorite 3 lures you use to catch walleyes and in what condition, time of year or water depth do you use these lures? Thanks for any suggestions, tight lines!
I like to troll crank baits a lot for walleye and also cast swim baits. One of my all-time favorite crank baits for walleye on natural lakes is a number 5 Salmo Hornet. One of my favorite swim baits is a Northland Tackle Mimic Minnow.
GPC™ I looked too, but the Jason guy had pliers in his hands before the other dude said lets put him back in the water, they just cut the scene where Jason took the hook out probably as it can sure get messy
great technique catching those walleye
I'll be there a week from today. I've used this technique there before and it works! Can't wait.

That's bullshit. The hook takes forever to rust. You should just eat the fish...
@@timmarkowicz779 you're a fucking idiot
Jason’s face when he put him back lol

I'm a guy named Jason watching two guys named Jason fishing for walleye before I get out and try my hand tomorrow!
Turn on the closed captioning at the 5:00 minute mark LOL
4:26: why did he immediately give up on getting the hook out, cut the line, and release the fish with the hook still in the fish?

You could also pinch the barb on your hook. Play the fish correctly and it won’t get okk

twice now he said put him in the box and Jason let's it go. Jason, get your hands off bud.
4:30 what?! did you leave the hook in?!

did he really realese it, without pulling out the spinner?
PaulH if it's too deep it's best to leave it in. hooks deteriorate over time and the fish spits it out
And it wasnt a spinner it was a jig
Why are they messing around with the leeches when they pulled up an eye that was spitting out minnows??? How about try a minnow presentation haha
6:35 put him in the box lolllllllllllllllllllllllllll
+vpsaline
I heard the same thing, and then he released it... lmao...
Good. For another days catch
Oh that's a dandee lol
Keep letting them go! Don't you ever eat them?
Sure at times but usually just eat fish fresh when we are home. Don’t like the hassle of keeping fish on the road.
put him in the box and then he realism it. smh. one reason I never let anyone handle my fish.
