Nah bro. I got a brandon philips a2k like 3 years ago and its still not broken in. I got a rawlings pro prefered and its already more broke in then the a2k was. I was very dissapointed, have u ever had an a2k or just an a2000
nycjin816 your grammar sucks. Learn the difference between your and you’re. I hate how little nine year old kids think they are so cool by saying profanity. You’re just jealous because you can’t get any likes.
Please! They used to be made in the USA but they moved the plant to Japan because it’s cheaper to make gloves there! Only Nokona Gloves are made in the USA!
You guys should make a premium glove like the A2K that has a off season reconditioning program where you can send your glove in once to replace the laces and anything that got worn out. Should retail for three ninety nine!
nokona gets floppy quickly, and the attention to detail is not great. Japan makes far better gloves. They have premium selection special order gloves that put even the best pro issues we get here to shame.
Nice to know that my "Wilson A2K" was made in a 1st world nation like Japan and not some 3rd world sweat shop like you're competitors with golden patches do. Love this series of videos, like knowing where our babies "Wilson's" are made from. I don't think? the consumer is conscious of those 18 hours of a hot monsoon season to make 1 glove possible. If I were a Pro, I would love to visit the Wilson glove lab.
JessyR1V 1) the term "3rd world country" is just a phrased coined after WWII for a country that didn't align with the NATO allies or the communist bloc. It doesn't pertain to their socioeconomic status. 2) Wilson A2000's are made in Vietnam.
Is that a alternate reality a University of lower living taught you? 3rd world hell-holes go visit one Silo or better live in one. They might have nice tall building made of cement, but that doesn't take away from them the conditions its citizens have to endure on a everyday basis to survive.
Agree that the thinner laces used by Wilson allows the glove to function properly early on, but they lose their tensile strength too quickly, and the laces stretch. I find myself constantly tightening laces on the A2000’s. Once a Rawlings HOH or Pro Preferred is broken in, it functions great, and the heavier laces don’t stretch anywhere near as much. I stick with Rawlings.
I love your gloves but it would be nice if the lace was a little bit better. I know its probably harder than people think to get better lace, but until then I will keep loving the great color ways and quality leather.
I used to think wilson a2000 was the best glove ever made until i got a rawlings pro preferred. I have 3 wilson a2000’s and 3 rawlings pro preffered and it’s not even close. Rawlings is way better but i still like wilson a lot
There are lots of great gloves that are handmade but the Japanese glove craftsmen in my opinion are the finest in the world. Once you wear a pro grade glove from Japan be it a Wilson, Zett, Hatekayama, Asics etc you'll never wear anything else again.
The only problem with Wilson or the laces. He’s right Wilson does use thin laces. But in this case, their laces are not up to the quality of rolling. They should sneak somebody into the rolling factory or higher somebody from there and find out what laces they use. Because Rawlings laces are far superior. As far as the gloves leather, they’re pretty close. Wilson uses the same leather for A2K and A2000! Rawling uses the A2K leather for their Heart of the Hides. And then they use the kip leather for the pro preferred. so there’s really no reason to buy the A2 8K from Wilson. They say they used the top 5%. Which means that they just look at it and they choose which leather they think is better. Which means not too much.
1. 18 hours is for when they are making all the preset models/colors and have all the materials set up for each one of those, for efficiency. 2. Lots of people order custom gloves not just yourself. 3. They also probably only add a color/material to one of the custom gloves when they are doing the same type for a lot of others, most likely for efficiency.(that’s just a guess)
The A2000 used to be made at a factory in Ironton, Ohio. When they closed the factory the major league gloves were still made locally by a small staff of their top craftsmen. The A2000 made in Japan is junk compared to what the Ironton factory produced, and I’ve got gloves made in Ironton and Japan to prove it.
Too bad when Wilson acquired Louisville Slugger they killed the Icon and Evolution Made In USA gloves. They were made in the Nokona factory, and Wilson knew those gloves were as good if not better than the Japanese made Wilson’s.
@@ryanellis7985 no he's talking about japanese market wilsons, known as wilson staff, they have the same leather but different patterns and logo. check them out on swallow sports.
Nokona gloves are now being made in the Philippines. Went to buy one today and saw it on the tag. Very sad I would of gladly paid the $400 for it but not if it’s made overseas and we all know it was cheaper to make.
Who else has a A2000 and loves it
Daniel Leech, no cause i dont want to pay the money for it and ruin it

Depends on what Nokona glove you’re getting. I was looking at Nokona the other day and it said 4-8 weeks from overseas to get a glove, so idk.
@@akaredcrossbow a whole bunch of their gloves are now outsourced overseas. That american made slogan is watered down now.

Miketheballdude11 what's the leather like on your glove?
Had a Rawlings glove, but for my hand, W2k is hands down, the best. 11" infielder is my jam.
11” is good for probably second base and not much after that. Pretty short. I use 11.5” for third and short.
Just bought wilson A500 today its perfect man much love
Man I'd love that job!
I got a dp15 a2000 and I love it
2nd best glove on earth .. Rawlings will always be the holy grail of gloves .. check the big leagues .. numbers say it all

A lot of the glove craftsman are Japanese including Mr. Aso.
Hey just asking how do you know when you need a youth glove where does that tell u
Beautiful work
Man i only got a youth a500 and still love it
Love the gloves but they are the most difficult gloves to break in by far. I’m a catcher, it’s a hell of a lot of work to break that thing in.
They do make the best gloves
Are regular people allowed to visit the wilson glove lab in chicago? Cause i live really close to it.
Mitch Tsukinari unfortunately you can't
I remember trying to find the glove lab. I ended up going to the Wilson office building...
Nicest sweatshop ive seen

If it takes 18 hours to make a glove why does it take 3 months to get a custom glove off of the site

There are some reasons why most of the players use rawlings. It can be disputable but tbh rawlings leather is better personally

Instead of Astros logo you put A’s logo and I couldn’t return because I had a game in two days and my other glove was ripening
