- Students today you will be learning the ins and outs of how to play with Ying in Paladins. Unfortunately she is kind of a loose women that is capable of filling many different roles. So rather than anything new I'm just going to show you how I usually play with Ying. Also this paragraph is somewhat dirty..... Oh well, on with the lesson!

Most of the time, you are the only support in the game, and you need to stay close to your team to heal them. Go off to hunt down a low health enemy, your team dies, and its your fault.
By game I mean your team.
Thats why you play double supports
But most of the time people give zero shits about support and just play damage/flank.
Maybe he heals by killing the enemy before they do the damage in the first place.
This is Ying here we're talking about. I've had games where I've done 80k healing and 70k damage, getting best support with more objective time than the tank and and being 2nd place in my team for most damage. You just have to make sure that as you shatter your illusions that you can create more instantly
As a frontline player I can't stand when Yings stand in front of me, if you want to play aggressive that's fine but you can shoot through my shield, that's why it's there damn it.
But most people think The Big Blue Rectangle is just decoration. Then they get mad at you for not shielding their dumb asses.
Halvos yeah, I see a lot of that in the games where I'm playing with a ying and Fernando, it's like they the shield is non-existent to them or something but thankfully, I play ying almost all the time and respect the shield :P

I use dimensional link often but it's more to confuse the enemy. During a team fight I summon my clones around the enemy and start dealing damage, once they notice me I switch with a different clone to confuse them. After my dimensional link is on cool down I use shatter and in the end you result in dealing a ton of surprising damage
I should say that to get good with the timing you mostely need gamesense not so much trial and error. Also Ren you should give tips on what items to buy with these builds. For example with this buy cauterize because you damage a lot of people thus denYING healing. This is getting long but in Paladins supports are hybrids and allow for aggressive play. Nice video as always.
Oh yeah that is a good idea actually giving tips on items to buy with builds. I may just make a separate video cause usually that depends on the situation more than the actual loadout build.

Just played a game with similar kinda loadout like yours, 0 deaths, and minimal teammate deaths. Fun play style indeed, more than just staying waaaay back and spawn illusions and bunker down like a wuss :D

Also You can use shatter to catch anemy when they escaoe
nifty trick: *you can place illusions in front of payload carts and when it is pushed, the decoys will move with it*

Personally, I make sure the frontliners at the point are secure before I go spawning illusions where my team's flankers are at. Not only did I save their lives but I also got to steal/get a kill If I activated Shatter. It's a dirty trick for the sake of topping the scoreboard but.. it's a win-win either way.
also you can catch enemy when they escape forst use illusion then use shatter wheb the shatter chase enemy use dimensional link and finish him with basic attack
That depends on if the tracking on the shatter even wants to be useful, sometime the illusion just sits there....
You have to wait for the shatter if you shatter 2 clones before you put new clones with Q, otherwise you miss one of the explositions.

I'm honestly sick of being a sitting duck as Ying when I try to go full healer because no one helps keep me alive so I might try this out instead

but wait..when ying uses Dimensional Link doesn't she just switch places with a illusion thats already up? or is it a card that lets u make more that 2 illusions?
that was what i was asking before... then i tried this aggressive mode of playing with ying and you can only make 2 illusions, no more. Maybe, in the video seems to be more but i don't really know... maybe you can did make more than 2 illusions at the time cuz there were no legendary cards.
Which talent do you usually use? I've been using her for quite a while but I kinda want to try your way of playing her. I know how to use the Illusion _ Shatter so I feel comfortable with her. What do u recommend?
Guide was made before talents but I would recommend the explosive one I guess.

Paladins saves the last three locations of where your clones were. So if you were to dimensional link three times it would be Origin, First Spot, Second Spot, Third Spot, and you wouldn't end up where you started. The fourth dimensional link should bring you to the First Spot.
As for the combo you kinda messed it up, you're suppose to shatter after dimensional linking, and then illusion shatter.
illusion>illusion>shatter>dimensional linkx4>shatter>illusion>shatter is the correct combo.

Wait, with dimension link you can make 4 illusions spawn at the same time? or that is taken you have 2 illusions alive then you spawn another 2 with d.link?
No you can only have the maximum of two illusions at the same time. Which is why you have to shatter before you dimension link.
Then why dimension link x4 D:?
Well the combo is actually Dimension Linkx3. Two to spawn illusions, one to your third position. Paladins saves the last three spots you spawn your illusions which reset when you die.
With that said the fourth dimension link would teleport you back to where you started, which is better in my opinion as you don't get confused.
So it would be Origin > First Spot > Second Spot > Third Spot > First Spot. Second and Third would be where your Illusions spawn.
Nicely structured, I also like to avoid taking the extra health card and replace it with one that reduces the cooldown of illusions if killed by an enemy, that way if they focus them I can just create another one faster but I like your overall loadout as well c:

What if you play flanker as ying?
Look at stand still kinessa , spawn as many illusion as possible , shatter + left click , gg one shot
The problem with Flanker Ying is that you don't have much mobility once you use your Illusions to damage people. Unlike Evie who has two escape abilities you only have one which has a pretty long cooldown.

This was made before they had legendary cards, I may remake the guide but for the default legendary should be fine.
As a Ying main whenever my team has a healer I take a more damage oriented play style

Martin Coburn when you have rewind in your build, when you dimensional link to a dead illusion it spawns a new one which you can shatter so you deal more damage

The pictures are different with OB51, but the names and descriptions should be the same. Maybe you haven't unlocked them yet?
i like to increase dimension link duration, and reduce shatter cooldown, you can explode about 6 cloneses during dimension link >.< it doesn't work well though...so....don't do that
I try to be to the side of my team, that way Ying's fine ass is protected, but at the same time I can set up ambushes and first aid with my clones. Also my clones are slightly tanky, so I use them as expendable meat shields.

I main Ying and this is NOT how it goes.. man this video was heaven, holy shit. I need to stay behind my tanks to heal them but I'm not afraid to kill them if they come to me. I rarely use shatter and after the release of Resonance legendary card, I don't even need to. I just sit back, heal, shoot and yeah... that's pretty much it.
You would be surprised at how aggressive you can be with Ying.

So I just check my loadouts for Ying. PrototypeSS YG should be the same loadout as the video one. I don't know why but Paladins didn't save my new loadout name. I usually put prototype when I'm testing something and then give it a official name.

You have to hit people with both illusions for the extra damage.

one time when i was playing drocoz on the ice payload map our ying saved my ass almost everytime i got low hp she even put a my own personal illusion on platform thst i sniped from we won the match =)

Actually that why "pause" is part of the combo. Right after Ying makes a Illusion it will heal someone close to it assume you don't immediately trigger Shatter.
How to play Ying: just spam clones and right click!
