RIP Mimi. I remember listening to Low for the first time about 5 years ago. It was this video, this performance, that got me into them. Such interesting guitar parts, harmonies, textures, music, lyrics. Can't get enough of them.
They are a brilliant band The latest album is so good and contains such great material This performance confirms it - superb Low albums are all great, I like drums and guns, trust, and things we lost in the fire but all are definitely worth getting Just like Christmas is the only song you need for that time of year
Low. Love them utterly. Been a fan since Secret Name. Saw then at All Tomorrows Parties in the UK in 2007. Don't think they are just quiet lo-fi cos when they reached the peak of Pissing it was blowing the whole fucking audience away. A band I can hardly begin to say how much they mean to me. X
They kinda stopped being quiet lo-fi from The Great Destroyer onward. The fans I've talked about tend to class them as just lo-fi or sub-pop (although wasn't/isn't that their record label) from then. They did change like hell for that record, for good or bad.
Nathan, TGD, and Monkey specifically was the first I had heard of them, they just blew me away. It took a little bit more to get into their older discography, I was a metalhead back in the day, so you can imagine why :p What's your favorite album/song?
Murderer is such a dark, beautiful, perfectly Low song, maybe rivaled only by In Metal. I'm so thankful I saw this Invisible Way tour, and a dozen other Low shows. Thanks for the memories, Mim.
+Matthew Aubertin Totally agree but on the new album on a (monumental) track like "the innocents" I also hear Mazzy Star/ Opal/ David Roback from mid 80's/early 90's.
its amazing that they make such amazing music & are happily married together too! also, its kinda weird as the lyrics are SO dark, but these two are faithful Mormons.
Recently listening to their 1998 live album recorded here at the Pit's, Kortrijk/Belgium:"maybe they are not liking the human beings".Beautiful,chickenskin.
Just discovered these guys in the UK via Jules Hollands "Later" Show. What a great sound! Must catch up with all their material. Hope you had a good time in the UK Low! Keep those harmonies rolling
everhale2 Vive le catch up, they’re prolific. Also : hang in there as they’ve such differing material you like one song straight away and take ages to like another or never at all.
southrules I don’t think it is a great name for a song. I think it’s a terrible name for a song. Wasn’t aware they’d changed the title. Good that they have.
Rest in peace, Mimi, and thank you for your voice and music. Heartbroken.
RIP Mimi.

Goodbye Mimi. I love you Alan.

R Price I quite enjoyed The Great Destroyer, it's definitely different from everything that came before it though.
Nathan, TGD, and Monkey specifically was the first I had heard of them, they just blew me away. It took a little bit more to get into their older discography, I was a metalhead back in the day, so you can imagine why :p What's your favorite album/song?
I thought Drums and Guns was their best latter-era album. C'mon was okay but the Invisible Way I thought was a bit lame.
R Price At the moment my favourite album is either Secret Name or Long Division, I can't quite decide on which one.
Heartbroken - Rest in power Mimi
Excelentes músicos y espectacular propuesta.

in my life only two artists have made it this far. Low is one of them
13:54 when the bass line comes in and the heaviness ensues. My favorite part of the performance
Very Earth inspired.
OMG yes. Their live shows are so good for this exact reason. Whenever he just blasts everything to the next dimension, so good.
OMG, felt an electric connection @ first listen. I was born out there, too; and live in the Northland. Amazing.
beth demars Were you addressing that to God ?
They're one of my most favorite bands
RIP Mimi. ❤️
May God bless Low.
Wonderful music. Things We Lost in the Fire got me through cancer.
mmm, just lovely
Love this band. The influence of the velvet underground is so apparent.
+Matthew Aubertin Totally agree but on the new album on a (monumental) track like "the innocents" I also hear Mazzy Star/ Opal/ David Roback from mid 80's/early 90's.
Except Sparhawk can play guitar
Saw them at Rubber Gloves Rehearsal many years ago. The show changed me.
Low uff.... increíble
magnificent
moving performance - thanks to KEXP to enjoy this here.

EyesofGeisha Yes, the band has numerous dark lyrics, some very, and it never ceases to surprise me being aware of them being active Latter-day Saints.
Yeah me too. I want that kind of marriage. Someone to write with.
RIP
Mimi Parker 1967-Nov 5, 2022
I like his voice. I'm waiting them come to Japan. like a child .
Gorgeous. Can't get enough.
Wow! I love Low. These songs sound upbeat for them.
True
Anyone who's listened to them since '94 from I could live in hope, this is very uplifting compared to their other work
love this band a lot ;)
This is wonderful. I'll definitely let the rain fall to this.
Mimi. First Lady of Music.
Great music. No need to apologize for playing the heavy stuff, it’s keeps us awake.
Just so damn good. SO good! Thank you Low.
Recently listening to their 1998 live album recorded here at the Pit's, Kortrijk/Belgium:"maybe they are not liking the human beings".Beautiful,chickenskin.
Seattle might have 90's grunge.
But northern MN/Duluth has Bob Dylan, Low, and Trampled by Turtles.
We only have 250k people. Amazing music.
that being said. Thanks Seattle!
Not heard of the last. Will check it out.
Nice Custom Gibby. Low are lovely
Heard “murderer” in the movie #TheNightComesForUs. This band is awesome.
I hope they have new album coming out this year
these guys are a great man!
Love them
the high hat still has the price tag attached @12:24 - priceless
Murderer is absolutely perfect.
Eu amo vocês :(. Depressivo música para sempre

The heavy stuff is the good stuff.
sweet, succulent distortion.......my heart rate is 40bpm

Moe Tucker drums style!

👏👏👏👏👏✌
Wonder why they changed the name of "Piss Cup", that's a great name for a song
southrules I don’t think it is a great name for a song. I think it’s a terrible name for a song. Wasn’t aware they’d changed the title. Good that they have.
Mimi Parker my love...
à quand une tournée en France?
please team up with dylan and earth! seems like an obvious pairing!
Epitaphforyesterday Dylan implied in an interview that he sold his soul, so, I’m not sure.
he looks like ser jorah mormont
What tuning is he playing in here?
He changes guitars and stuff. What part?
he plays in Open G exclusively.
Fucking relax!
sex, drugs, and low
I am starting to sleep. Every song from them sounds the same.
Yawn! They need a little pepper in their songs!
haha
Their catalogue of songs is so varied. There’s plenty with pepper.
A bit pretentious...
Chas Juhl How so ?
Errr, not really
Moron
RIP Mimi
👏👏👏👏👏✌
