I don't think the new flags, the birthday party, or Olympics will make this decade comparable to 1820, but I agree that it will meet that standard for other miraculous reasons. I wish he could speak a little more frankly about what he really thinks will happen
I think you might be looking beyond the mark. These events are what it's all about. Bringing people together, this is what these events do. Could you imagine what the saints of the early church would feel if they were here to witness these events? They were rejected and driven out of their homes, now our 100 year old prophet is celebrated on the world stage. How do you think they would feel seeing this. We have come so far as a church! It truly is the stone cut out of the mountain without hands to fill the whole earth as prophesied by Daniel.
If the crowning event of the decade he’s comparing our decade to included the first visitation of the Savior in the last days, doesn’t seem to be a far stretch that the crowning event on the next decade would be the final visitation(s) of the Savior…especially when considering our prophets constant talking of His return, this conference being one of the most profound talks from him on that topic.
We still don't have a temple in Luxembourg :( If the borders were closed we won't be able to go to a temple in the neighboring counties which are France, Belgium ( not yet finished or begun) or Germany or Netherlands which takes at least 3 hours to go there. When Belgium's temple is finished it will be closer but still then if the borders are closed we won'tbe able to go to the temple.
I live in the USA, and the temple that’s in our district is 3 hours away. My husband and I do not live in an area where we can be at the temple in 15-20 minutes.
I live in California…we finally got a temple closer to us (don’t have to drive hours to LA anymore) but it will still take about 5 years to finish because of CA laws/permits. Still, I can’t believe it’s going to happen. Keep praying/fasting and having FAITH and it will happen! I doubt temple building will slow down!
Hi, You and those places in Europe are in my prayers, so that you might get a temple close to where you live soon. We are so blessed to have holy temples, so that we can be sealed to God and to our loved ones forever!

How about if it ends with the return of the Savior? Would that make it memorable?
