It was definitely a wild ride and Naomi is such a weird main character but I liked it and I feel like the updates are actually improving the game.

You might know him as the creative force behind Deadly Premonition, which got re-released on switch alongside its exclusive sequel like last year. Usually his games are known for their lower poly styles and batshit insane premises

I had no idea who SWERY was, but I got some very "quirky Japanese GameCube/Dreamcast RPG from the 2000's" vibes from this game.
I know who SWERY is. I backed the game on Kickstarter. Played it for a few hours earlier today and found it to be an actually good game, that runs better than other SWERY games. Then I saw this trailer and am all the more excited to get back to playing it.

You know I saw this on the eShop coming soon section, and it looked really interesting. It looked like those old games from like those point and click adventure but a more modern take. It honestly looks pretty charming and interesting. I'll probably pick this up at some point.

I spent more time trying to figure out what Oasis song was being ripped off than I was focusing on the game footage. 😂
okay so i bought the game, i've had it about 2-3 days now and it does seem like it's all over the place from the trailer, but it's not. it all makes sense. her being able to turn into a cat/dog is from some potion i think, the townspeople turn into cats at midnight, and you're sent to uncover why the town is called "the happiest place on earth" but when you get there, you realize everything is not what it seems. so as you're trying to uncover the town's secrets, you stumble upon a murder you need to solve and so on. it's really fun so far; you have your own house, cook yourself food, have a garden, can change your character's clothes, customize the bedroom, etc
you can also grocery shop, have your clothes tailored, etc. it seems very promising. i bought it bc it said solve a murder mystery and i'm really into those types of games, but if anyone is not sure if this game is worth it/confused about it, i'd say it is worth it so far
