As Czech i gotta respect team Great Britain, they really gave a good match ! Especially gave rough times to us in first period ! Formidable team !
Game was lot closer than the score suggests. We always knew Czechs would be tough but we fought hard

Game was lot closer than the score suggests but that's puck luck sometimes. Lot I saw to be happy about and feel we could still stay up despite missing key players.
Was really happy with the debutants in Waller and Nielson
Britain is not that bad consider it was a Team that played against Nations like the Netherlands or Estonia just a few Years ago. They improved fast

Surely they've made quite a trouble for us but what would you expect when you're playing an opening match and it still can be quite a hard work even against an outsider who's been playing fresh at full strenght yet still we beat Brits by 5 - 1 and it won't so stressful for our boys against Sweden because they know what to expect
We 🇬🇧 have a load of injuries & nowhere near full strength, but in the 3rd period your skill & pace were too much....well done!

I also know you're missing your MVP Liam Kirk because he's got injured I'm not mistaken at least when I've heard some information about the situation he's missing the tournament from our commentators but opener's still an opener and you could still think about it like "c'mon guys let's beat them like a nothing" although the reality can be different especially when you're under the pressure for not having a medal since 2012

The one maybe but the one was an absolute rocket shot all commentators said no goalie could stop and the one goal that bowns saved first the was debate it was offside and lot of players stopped. On further inspection puck was kept in by millimetres. The highlight doesn't show that though

Kvôli Migrantom asi menili názov územia aby si Česi Nenárokovali že mali niekedy svoju vlastnú vlasť
Zdá se, že konečně už začíná být pořádek v názvosloví. V televizi se ve sportu začal v češtině název Česko používat někdy v roce 1999 a třeba v hokeji se u nás často užíval i v oficiálních hlášeních gólů nebo vyloučení z boxu trestoměřičů. Třeba už na MS 2004 hlasatel v Sazka (dnes O2) aréně Tomáš Battěk hlásil "branku mužstva Česka vstřelil hráč číslo 68 Jaromír Jágr". S angličtinou to bohužel vždycky bylo horší. Překládali to jako "goal for Czech team" a na některých stadionech namísto správného "goal for team Czechia" tenhle paskvil bohužel slyšíme dodnes, třeba i před pár dny ve Vítkovicích na Českých hokejových hrách. Je to poněkud ostudné, že to celé ve velkém tak nějak musí za nás odstartovat hlasatelé v zahraničí jako nedávno na MS U18 v Německu a teď ve Finsku. Přitom by to mělo být přesně naopak. Jediný dosud zaznamenaný případ použití názvu Czechia na našich stadionech je z prakticky bezvýznamného podzimního přípravného zápasu U17 ve Vrchlabí. Tím dotyčným "průkopníkem" byl doktor Petr Čáka, který jinak hlásil už docela dost velkých zápasů v Hradci a Pardubicích. Kromě mnoha utkání ELH to bylo třeba finále MS do 20 let 2008 Kanada-Švédsko nebo nedávno finále Ligy mistrů HK-Frölunda.
A little too many suspicious czech offside goals. And why are great britain treated so badly by the referees? They did not have the rebounds on their side. Keep going GB! you´re taking steps for each game. And why does the czech fans look like they have swallowed burnt wheels?

I had UK as the weakest team in the entire tournament. But this game changed my mind. UK is looking solid. Its either Sweden or Italy that is the weakest team in the tournament, as expected. 2 nations without any hockey.culture
