It's clear how Italy's hockey level it's still far away from the nations that firmly stand in the world group, but I have been noticing in the last 2 years how at least now the Italian team tries to take a bit of initiative, even against "monsters" like Canada. Italy will likely lose all its games (maybe against Kazakhstan they have a slight chance) but I really appreciate this improvement, under every aspect, technical and psychological.

I Love hockey very much and I follow italy hockey team. They play well and play so hard. I hope the Goalie always next to the net and cover the side pocket so that less goal to opponent. Keep playing good Team Italy all of you are amazing players❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍🏒

We can see the pure quality that italy actually possess, like in the first period. But when you meet the hockey gods there is only few words to describe it (Do not be afraid. I am peace; I am salvation) Italy was afraid, and they should be. Canada is the ultimate foundation! Embrace the beauty.

I know that America has also done horrible things in this country's but they never attacked them to gain territory like Russia did with Ukraine who is a peacefull and democratic country. In the countries you mentioned the people hated their leaders because they were oppresing the people anf commiting genocides since decades. What did Russia about this? Canada played Germany the other day...not exactly an 'easy' match.
It seems easy because France came in instead of Russia.
Groups are based on last year's rankings. Then Russia and Belarus were ejected so two teams from the next division down had to come up. Canada, having won the tournament last year, came out on the easier side of it.
