How One of the Best Croissants in Paris Is Made - The Experts

- When bakers Erwan Blanche and Sébastien Bruno graduated culinary school, they couldn’t seem to find a spot in Paris that sold bread, brioche, and pastries in the same place, let alone ones that were homemade, good quality, and affordably priced. That’s when they opened Boulangerie Utopie Bakery, known for one of the most coveted and innovative sourdough croissants in Paris.

Kamil Unai thank you! :)
If ISIS could make a croissant. That's how it looks
"The only competition we have is against ourselves. It's just about enjoying ourselves and making people happy." Beautifully put.
Just when you thought making a croissant couldn't get harder... they make it into a sourdough croissant!! I literally melted in my seat when they broke it open
So basically they wanted an excuse to hang out more and came up with a bakery. That’s the kind of bro-dom that we all need.
ill bro dom u
It's the most luxurious croissant I've ever seen.
에이 그건 좀 아니다
Easily one of the best bakeries I visited in Paris. Can't wait to return!!!!
You just can’t beat a croissant in Paris
In France ... pls !!
... Someday I hope to find out for myself... When Trump is out...😒
Literally. Because it’ll crumble because it’s so damn flaky and good.

@@triffle69 Yes, "Yoda"... Poor soul I am...get to France someday, I hope...😊
This is the best way of approaching ur dream. Make everything as if it was for u or ur family! I’d love to try this! It all looks yummy and I also enjoy a bread-type croissant vs, flaky...keep doing what u do best!
Hey you're the guys that taught Alex french guy cooking to make croissants

Thank you for sharing this wonderful video! 🙂
As a French chef, is always good to see this type of video!
Those croissants look divine!
So nice to see that you’re just friends enjoying what you love. I’ll have to make do with sub standard British Croissants 🥐 for the time being but, I’m really looking forward to sampling your delicious 😋 produce someday. ✊
la boulangerie Utopie is worth taking an aeroplane to Paris, eat their croissants, then go back.
And... when it's the right season, their TARTE FIGUES is the best of the world. Really, the best!
UTOPIE TOUJOURS!!

Who else wants croissants rn?

Un croissant d'origine parisien s'il te plait!
Huh I’m curious about how this tastes. Combining the kinda tart fermented sourdough flavor with the buttery richness of a croissant sounds interesting...
Believe me, the combination taste so good in my opinion. I have tried to make them and become my favourite recipe. A lot of chefs share their recipes in instagram.
Thank you for posting this video!
A joy to watch. Extraordinary craftsmanship. Bravo et Merci. 👍
I’m crying it’s breakfast time and I wish I had this
If I'm ever allowed back in France, I need this on my face.
Why aren’t you allowed?

Thanks, for share video , beautiful croissants
OMG thosse croissants look AMAZING!!!!
French really put a lot of love into their food .
it's part and parcel of our culture and national identity. life has to be aesthetic and refined as well as enjoyable for the French. they pursue excellence in every realm (well, they try)
Yet cant keep their country clean
Went there today and the people working didn't really know what we were talking about. We tried the croissants and weren't that impressed, so many little places in Paris with truly magnificent and special croissants. The charcoal baguette is cool though! :)
Do you mean the people working in the café (like cashiers etc) or bakers?
I will have to suffer and eat my Walmart croissant for today.
Pls don’t call them croissant but shaped viennoiserie
😂🤣🤣😂🤣
Man , throw them in the microwave for like 10 seconds and you’re good to go.
Make ones
Make your own then.

“I almost dropped my croissant!”
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Staaahp
Everytime i see a French food clip i remember Ratatouille
Croissant is one of my favorite breakfast ever.
THAT HUGE SQUARE OF BUTTER
They actually make them that way for the bakeries in France. The rolling machines look pretty standardized, so the bakers don't need to beat on stick of butter like they do on The Great British Bake Off.
If there's anywhere in the world where I would expect to see a huge square of butter, it would be France.
My mouth is so watery rn 🤤🤤🤤
I’m a baker in a hotel and the way you guys make your croissants is almost similar to how we make ours
i'm pretty sure nobody asked

i make croissant with sourdough as well but i also added a bit of commercial yeast as it didn't work out for me to rely on sourdough only (the sourdough is added for better flavour), i personally like the taste better than regular croissant
I haven't ate a croissant for years since I last visited France because I don't think any other croissant can compare.
Nice mentality, good products. Superb overall! ♥️
Yes the right ones shaped like a cresent/half Moon. Its the right croissant to me 😊
Their sound "Croissants" is already delicious to me
Genial! Je peux sentir les patisseries. Bon appetit. 🇬🇧🇫🇷😎👍
I not only want one rn, I wanna be a baker there.
Look at this amazing and amazing stuff (that I will never try to make!!
i have been in this place, i love their croissant so much,
Tres bien . Une grande plaisir.👍👍👍
Beautiful
they won a concours in the french TV "the best bakery of France"
C'est magnifique , bien sûre !
Utopi chefs have lost weight !! Last i saw them on alex's channel .... Anyhow, brilliant work !
Linguiniii!!
Mon dieux, this is the best!

Definitely will try that beautiful croissants when I visit your shop in Paris😋🥰
Man that looks so good.
DISCLAIMER FOR ANGLOPHONES:
- it's pronounced "krwas-son" (the T is silent)
- it's not a pastry (pâtisserie), it's a viennoiserie
- croissant means crescent (hence the shape)
- what you call a "chocolate croissant" is NOT a croissant, it's a pain au chocolat
i miss paris
Remember the croissant is invented by the Turks 🇹🇷 🇹🇷 🇹🇷
The ottoman sultan ordered all chefs to come up with the nicest, fluffyest, lightest bread, and it had to be shaped like a moon (crescent~croissant)
Thats how it was invented. The Turks dont get enough credit for it.
There is even losers saying that someone else invented it. Hatin ah mfers
J'en veux!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Saw it first on Alex french guy cooking :)
Location please!
Beautyfull
Will go to Coatco for a croissant quick fix...
Bon travail
Anyone here tried their croissant? I am curious, it really looks delicious and I want to know if they are actually really good.
I've had croissants in france which literally melt in your mouth, so I assume these are good as well.
I live in Paris quite close from that Boulangerie and I can tell you it is excellent, it is my Sunday routine. However, be careful to not eat these everyday or you'll die from cholesterol haha
So Heroic.
I ve been to Paris and France many times, but personally I ve had the best croissant in my life in Budapest ( Hungary) at ambers cafe overlooking the danube, nothing but fond memories
Not saying they taste the same but as a partially paralized person i buy them frozen from a deli , they’re not cooked yet wich i do when i get them, early in the morning my house is smelling like a bakery😋 i had to adjust the cooking time and temperature though as they kept comin out burnt😕
That looks so damn delicious.
@3:25 *_”when we started...we didn’t find a place where you could buy good bread good pastries and good brioches all in the same location.”_* In Paris? Sure. You gents didn’t look very hard apparently. 😂😂
Address please
WHO Are the two people that disliked this? Like Croissants are just the ultimate bread! maybe they're gluten intolerant? or they hate delicious fluffy things?
Celiacs?
Probably the owners of the bakery down the road 😂
It is American the credits or it is British? Similar to QVC with a lease after the Thrift; we have seen it on Tonic, Nigella Bites with a jingle. You are selling receiving in Cheshire, England without sending?
Do they tell the full recipe measurements anywhere ?
Isn't it these guys that helped Alex(french guy cooking) with his croissants ?
yea it is :)
Natural French is so fast
Cost of one?
Croissant in Paris (where I live) is around 1,20€
Whats the Name of the sing in the beginning?
*song
The best croissant I’ve ever had was in Paris....
A one croissants.keep going.all the. Best
Fairly poor translation at times. At 2:54, "Viennoiserie" should not be translated as "brioches". That's just nonsense.
Viennoiserie and Pâtisserie (pastry) are two very different things.
An éclair is pastry, a croissant is viennoiserie. As soon as there is cream it's not viennoiserie anymore
Did the French guy just called brioche brio-che?
No he used the adjective "brioché" as his croissants can have a texture similar to a brioche.
I laughed for 2mins just looking at the duration of the video.
After that talk about their honeycomb and we get a smooshed ripped shot?
I need this job I am chef
Beards are definitely a no no in bakery world but since it’s UA-cam nobody cares.
sourdough again? thought this was over months ago. what's next? sourdough pizza? sourdoughnuts?
Dont give them ideas now
Send some over I’m hungry
l'adresse s'il vous plaît
French people be like “how can we make the most complicated thing from flour, butter, and water?”
damn, they just fold and entire slab of butter in it.
Combien le prix du croissant ???
In Paris, usually between 1,10 and 1,30 €
I love love love Croissants but I ate too many of them everyday and got lil fat had to stop😭😭
I like to put cheese in my crescents
Recipe please 🙏
kwah song
hope landlord is nice
So Gordon actually pronounce it right, kwason.
Honnêtement je préfère les croissants dans une boulangerie-pâtisserie que ceux du magasin 🥐
Je ne crois pas que c'est une opinion controversé?
3:25 Interesting protocol: Make sure to have your face mask firmly in your hand and nowhere near your face when you come in and speak to the girl at the register.
Where are the prime time guys????
Can we get a vid focusing on the giant bread loafs bakeries sell that I've never seen anyone buy
