Hi, Leeann! If you follow the instructions shown in the video, you should arrive at the paper information registration screen as shown at 1:53. Here, you can specify what kind of paper you've loaded into the cassette. Hope this helps!
Canon USA Support thanks for your response! Every time I get to that screen, it will allow me to flip through the option for paper size but not paper type, ie only letting me choose plain paper

A very simple question you can't answer. Just get the printer to accept the prompts to operate the rear tray.
