🎶Happy Birthday🎶 Ruth! Have a wonderful birthday and a lovely Easter! I sang in a lovely Palms Sunday service at my church St Charles Avenue Presbyterian Church in New Orleans LA. It was a beautiful Requiem by Mack Wilberg with Orchestra.(the church has a UA-cam channel that live streams and podcasts) and I will be singing in a Maundy Thursday service and then on Easter Sunday!Lots of music! I’ve always said I get more from the music at church than any sermon!I loved every minute of your podcast!I was so happy when I saw the pics on Instagram of you with Rachel and Jo from Twinset and Purl!What a wonderful trip.The yarns, project bags and other goodies were beautiful. I ordered yarn for the Ruth shawl yesterday, a lovely pale yellow and light lavender.The colors reminded me somewhat of matching Easter outfits I made for my daughter and myself many,many years ago.Lovely old English hand smocked yellow peasant blouses and lavender skirts. I am knitting the Salty Air Tee right now and have the 2nd Pine Forest Stag sock on the needles, have to say it’s taken a backseat to the Tee right now! Safe travels to Scotland and Ireland! Your sweater and your cowl are just stunning together! I write this on Saturday and it's my birthday, which I celebrated by purchasing myself an orchid and a sweater quantity of yarn. When I was going through menopause I would go to sleep and then wake about 2 am and be awake for a couple of hours. This lasted for maybe a year and then it stopped, so I hope you pass through this phase asap. Your trip sounds wonderful! Safe travels!

Menopause brain example. My husband asked what I wanted for diner the other evening, I tried to say how about chicken and rice, came out "chicken and a library book!!!
I haven't been to a library in years, I've not thought, read, seen about libraries, so no idea where it came from, but we ended up with pasta and something I can't remember.
Gorgeous yarns. £5 a skein, they where giving it away!

Happy birthday, dear Ruth, and safe travels. Here in my part of Canada we've had no winter really, but are ready for Spring. As I'm watching, I'm casting on a new colour-work sweater using John Arbon Yarnadelic....I can't get over the feeling of this yarn. Anything by John Arbon would be my desert island yarn! I've recently knit socks with the same AllSorts yarn that you have...so much fun. I'm now knitting the Fairground socks by the Bakery Bears....I wish I'd known how much I would enjoy this pattern before knitting the AllSorts Of Fun socks....wonderful pattern for using self-striping yarn ❤

I didn’t get to Kathy’s knits but loved Be Inspired. Jam packed with soo many gorgeous yarns. I expect you have been before. I went to Ginger twist and Be Inspired while we were there.
It is interesting to hear about no frills knitting in Bristol thank you.
That isn’t too far from me (30-40mins) and i have made a mental note to go and have a mouch around there someday soon.

Hi Ruth. I always stay with you till the end. Steve made me a cuppa part way through. I think he was worried you were giving me ideas. 😏🤭. You cheered me up again cos I have a sore throat and sniffles and don’t want to be poorly for my birthday. It will not be as exciting as yours although I had an early gift as my eldest daughter and granddaughter came down from Liverpool for Solomons dedication on Sunday so I saw a lot of her.
