I love your devotions at the end of your podcasts and having your dad on this episode was a blessing. I love short and sweet messages that have an impact. Quite the blessing. Thank you, Denise
So lovely to hear your dad recite psalm 23 - my mum was born in Belfast and came to England in 1939 with my grandparents- my grandad lived until he was 86 and even though he’d lived in England for over 50 years he still spoke with his Northern Irish accent ❤ My mum and dad are both still with me my dad was 90 last month and my mum 88 last week and I know I’m incredibly blessed to still have them. Everytime my mum hears that accent it takes her back to her childhood and to memories of her dad ❤ My parents still attend church every week and their faith has been the strength to get through the last few years, especially in Covid - they truly missed the fellowship of church at that time but their faith was their saviour ❤️ Thank you for those little moments of reflection and reminders of how God is always with us xxx
Oh Ruth so lovely to see your father. I lost mine 8 years ago and my goodness he reminded me of him. Save face shape the scrubbed and polished look that generation have. And of course the half Windsor knot in his tie. I used that knot for my school ties and showed it to both my boys ! He has a most beautiful voice for preaching too. Loves you podcasts and don’t mind how long they are x
What a wonderful strong father you have in your life. He must appreciate your devotion to the craft that gives us all so much comfort. Could you have your father at the end of every podcast for those of us who want to have a trusted source to re-kindle our lapsed years of faith x.
Please thank you dad for his message. I used to read Psalm 23 from the KJV to my dad every day while hewas ill. He lingered in a semi coma for awhile and the scriptures were a comfort. On my needles I still have my Lent shawl. Almost finished!! All the TandP patterns are beautiful.
I can’t tell you how much your Dad’s reading of Psalms 23 meant to me this morning. My beautiful 91 year old faithful Christian Mama passed early this morning. She is now face to face with Jesus and so many loved ones who have gone before. I’m so grateful that I had her as my mother.❤
I enjoyed your video so much! Especially the Psalm! I am currently working on the mystery gnome knitalong by Imagined Landscapes. I also participated in the Lent knitalong and enjoyed it so much that i immediately jumped on board when i heard about this one!

Thanks for another great podcast. You make such beautiful things, and I think you’re amazing for encouraging this community to be better people. I’ve got far too many things on my needles and hooks at the moment but the things that are giving me the most joy are my korshavn cardigan and a pair of striped socks. Take care and thanks again ❤

I’m more into crochet but do knit on occasion. Was lovely to see your Dad at the end….and his reading of the Psalm….take care x x x 🥰
Hi Ruth its been awhile but always good to see you and what you have been up to . I watched to the end cause I love the message that you bring and today was extra special with your dad abs Psalm 23 one of my favorites. I could listen to your father again he has such a comforting way and speaking of the Lord is extra special. Ive never had Psalm 23 broken down like that and i wrote it down for me to remember and medicate on when i need this reminder. Thank you so much and Thank You to your dad.
Thank you for another fun episode Ruth and for sharing all your lovely knits. On my needles right now is a cream colored cardigan. I hope to finish it in the next couple weeks when I can still use it in the cooler spring weather here in Wisconsin, USA. I really enjoyed your father's reading of the 23rd Psalm and his meditation on it. God bless, Tricia
So happy to see you today, Ruth! And hearing your dad's recitation of Psalm 23--so special to me-- made me cry. Lots on my needles: two pairs of socks, a baby blanket and a hat! God bless🕊️.
Lovely to see you back Ruth, it’s my birthday this Saturday and like you I am so poorly from an ongoing cold/virus , really hoping I feel better for Saturday …. But having last few days of work has meant that I can continue on my current wips, which is a lovely baby blanket for my newly arrived granddaughter …. Also of course I have socks on the needles xxxxxx
Hello Ruth, I enjoyed your video. Love hearing your Dad read Psalm 23 , that one I learn when I was very young . I haven't been knitting much because we have been planting our garden. The weather here in South Carolina is just right for planting. Hope to get back to knitting, cross stitch, and sewing soon! Until next time God Bless !
I'm currently knitting a baby blanket for a work colleague having her first child and managed to add a good 2 inches while watching this chatty episode. The longer and chattier the better. I did put my work down when your lovely Dad came on for the closing. What a blessing that was.
Nice to see you Ruth. I have just finished a Simon shawl but loving knitting socks at the moment. Thank your dad for his words. I lost my dad last year and missing him a lot xx
Ruth thank you for a wonderful podcast. I’m currently knitting on a sweater for our church knitting group. Our wonderful leader Jean runs this group for the women of Ballybeen and the wider Dundonald area. A few times a year a large bag is taken to the Blossoms charity who then sort it for local or mission field use. We have been asked to knit sweaters for 3-5 year olds . I’m enjoying the pattern but knitting with acrylic is hard on my fingers . I have a prayer shawl in a nice merino silk blend on the go too that I can knit on to take a break from the acrylic yarn. I loved your dad’s message it’s good for me to remember that Jesus is all that I need . Praying for your daughter (I’ve added her name to my exam prayer list)
Welcome back Ruth, sure I've missed you. Glad you're getting over your cold and on the mend. On my needles atm are my first pair of shortie socks for EmmaCMakes Kal and the yarn is gathered for a TandP Fizzy Pop shawl, I think 🤔 so many beauts to choose from. Thank you too for sharing your Daddy with us, I had been hoping he'd make a little appearance. Psalm23 was read at both of my parents funerals, it was particularly my Mammys favourite and always brings me great comfort. Thankyou for the lovely episode ❤
How lovely to catch up with you Ruth. I have enjoyed seeing all your finishes. I’m currently knitting my first Twinset and Purl pattern, I’m knitting the Simon Cowl and loving it. 😊
Hello Ruth- thanks to your Dad for his message- a fresh look on a passage we’ve read so many times. I am currently knitting the Lady Violet sweater and almost done my Daft Days cardigan.
So, so happy you are back and feeling better, Ruth! The Artus shawl colours you have chosen are beautiful and the gold (Litna) would be just right as a pop colour I think. 🧶Thanks to your Dad for the message he gave🙏 I am enjoying knitting the Celtic Myths Shawl (free pattern) on my needles right now as it is Autumn here is in South Africa.🥰
Nice to see that you are feeling better. Thank you for sharing your Father and your family and knitting adventures. Lovely yarns and knits. LOVE your daughter's hair! I've decided to knit the family (8 adults and 2 kiddos) socks in Christmas colours for December. I have one pair done. Take Care.
Welcome back, Ruth. I am machine knitting cotton tops daytime..Tv crocheting baby blankets and sock knitting on my bus journeys. Beautiful FOs...You are spreading so much joy... thank you ❤

Hello Ruth. A great message from your wee Dad. I am currently crocheting the Marrakesh version of the Persian Tiles blanket by Janie Crow and I am knitting the Taffy Waves shawl by Hedgehog Fibres in Cookston Crafts fingering yarn (peacock and marin). Hope the kids' exam revision goes well and that you have a good week. x
I wish your daughter the best on her exams! Sorry to hear you were sick for your trip home to Ireland but I’m sure your mom took good care of you! Nice to see you back with all your lovely knits.
Always a delight. Your dad's talk was a blessing. Inspired by one of your earlier episodes, I'm knitting socks in yarn I've pulled out from a shawl I knit and just didn't love. My socks, much more love. :-)
Always happy to see you, Ruth, thanks so much for sharing your knitting. I have the second of a pair of socks on my needles. As soon as I finish this one I’ll start one of the beautiful shawls you have shown.
I am so happy that you are back with all that wonderful projects 🤩 the words of your dad are so encouraging thank you so much for sharing 🤗 I am knitting a slipover vest for my father it’s the first time I’m knitting a garment for someone else 🫣 and I hope it will turn out well 😅 best wishes from Manuela 🧡🌻
Always enjoy your podcast, your dad is such a treasure, getting cooler here in Australia so a scrappy crochet blanket is my latest project, good luck Eva with your exams.
Oh it was perfect timing for a long episode! I would say that the knitting that is bringing me the most joy is my Traveler Shell as the fabric is wonderful in my hands and I am nearing the end! Though, if you asked me about it tomorrow, when I plan to pick up stitches for the band, it would not be this project 😂 Love all the FOs and there are some patterns I need to add to my wish list now! The only time I have been to Edinburgh, we had similar weather and an ill kid so we didn't even get to tour the town--I think it probably was best in the end! All the best to you and your family Ruth.
Lovely to see your podcast. I have Italian Winter Shawl on my needles along with several other wips. T and P are favourites of mine too. Thanks for all you do for the knitting community.
Great to see you again Ruth and your precious dad! You are a prolific knitter:) I’m working on a little test knit for my grandson and the Riddari sweater for one of my daughters. Also I just finished a Tolsta Tee.
I always enjoy your lovely podcasts!! I’m knitting on the Ilha Sweater, working on the sleeves. So very special to have such a good relationship with your father.
Hi Ruth . So lovely to see you back and feeling much better. On my needles I have my second sayuri sweater by Valentina Bogdanova, a Simon shawl and the Kaisa Tee by This Bird Knits as part of Wool is the Answers knit along and the obligatory pair of vanilla socks. You’ve been missed 😘😘
I’m knitting a pair of socks for my sister for Christmas. I knit Christmas gifts all year - I love to give hand knit gifts and try to avoid stressfully trying to finish gifts at the last minute. Thank you for another great podcast.
Hi Ruth ! I love the chatting. I hope everyone is doing great. The yarn is lovely and I just love the bag. Currently I’m knitting two xl dog sweaters for my daughters dogs lol I am getting ready to order yarns for my first sweater projects. I’m excited 😊
I think the pop of yellow for the Arthus shawl is perfect! I was knitting away on a new shawl design while watching with a woolly wool that I’m super inspired to work with. Thanks for the company. ❤
So good to see you back. Hope you can shake off that cold. You have been so busy, beautiful projects as always. Your dad is so sweet. I could listen to him for hours.
Lovely episode and so nice to have an epilogue from your dad! I’m knitting the Sceal Gra by Ailbiona McLochlainn using Knitting for Olive merino in Plum Rose and I’m in love with it 😂🌹
I’m currently knitting on a pair of prairie socks and doing a test knit shawl. Great fun! Loved all your projects and hearing about your trip to Edinburgh. I went there last summer and loved it! Sorry you got sick. Your shlanket is fabulous! Definitely way too big for a shawl! 😂 Loved hearing your dad’s message. Happy Spring!!
Yay!! Ruth's back!! ❤❤ I'm just in the process of doing a tubular cast on (for second time after realising it was coming up too big) for the Easy Bralette by Svetlana Volkova. I've also cast on The Maud Blouse by Fabel Knitwear. The spring/summer knitting has begun! 🌼🌷
Lovely video again. I'm finishing off a baby cardigan that an old lady started and died before finishing and her daughter asked if i could finish it off for her for when she has grandchildren. I've also just started a mitre blanket with scrap yarn. I will be honest been off my mojo, but your video have inspired for future project. Thank you for all the joy you bring.
I have the Handsome Chris sweater on my needles for my husband, but it’s slow going. I’m also making hexi puffs for a blanket from my left overs, which are a lot more manageable. I love the giant shawl turned lap blanket! I’d probably go for the mustard colour over the other purpley colour, to add more contrast.
I have jumped on the Emotional Support Chicken bandwagon...and loving it! So quick and fun. And for summer, a Cumulus blouse. Always look forward to seeing your podcasts!
Welcome back home Ms. Lady. On my crochet needles is I've started back making animals for the little ones in the hospital - hippos, dinosaurs and dragons
So nice to have you back, Ruth! Just love all of your knits and yarn. And...if you want my vote on the 5th color for your Artus shawl.......go gold..It will be magnificent with your other colors! I love that shawl and have that in my favorites. I am currently working on a shawl by Romi Hill called Floriade..her patterns are always a challenge but worth it in the end. Loved your Dad's message and best to Eva during her exams. Take good care
Another great podcast Ruth. Some lovely finishes; you have enabled me to cast on the Simon shawl (it’s great for those single skeins x2). I’ve just finished The Glittering Snowscape Shawl, very large enjoyable knit. Thanks for sharing and God bless. X

Your dad has a lovely voice. Calm and quiet . It’s great to have you back again, I am knitting a mitered square blanket with my advent minis and a strand of bare fingering yarn with Stelina held together I would love to win that lovely bag full of Yarny goodness.
Thank you Ruth for all you do to cheer us up in video land.... I got some bad news healthwise so need some knitty goodness to keep my mind off it. On my needles is a pair of socks using an Opal Pairfect sock yarn, the fastest I have ever knit a sock! 4 days for the first one. thanks for the giftaway!
Welcome back, so nice to see you! What's on my needles?? Knus light using Knitting for Olive cotton merino. A fingering weight summer sweater using a yarn that is 250m to 50gms...a labor of love that may someday end!🤣

Currently I’m knitting two xl dog sweaters for my daughters dogs lol
I am getting ready to order yarns for my first sweater projects. I’m excited 😊
Your lovely dad. You look so alike. Lovely podcast. My first one, but I will be watching more. Thanks 😊
I think the pop of yellow for the Arthus shawl is perfect! I was knitting away on a new shawl design while watching with a woolly wool that I’m super inspired to work with. Thanks for the company. ❤
Look forward to seeing your new design x
So lovely to see your new episode! It's a true joy to listen to you and knit on my everlasting Syli cardigan, hoping to get it done by the fall 🥰
So good to see you back. Hope you can shake off that cold. You have been so busy, beautiful projects as always. Your dad is so sweet. I could listen to him for hours.
I got so wrapped up in your lovely projects and all the wonderful comments that i completely forgot to knit on the socks for my dad in my hand.
I'm so glad you're back. You have been truly missed.
Loved your dad’s message. One can tell he is a godly man. I’m sure he is a blessing to many people. Thank you Ruth ❤️
I have jumped on the Emotional Support Chicken bandwagon...and loving it! So quick and fun. And for summer, a Cumulus blouse. Always look forward to seeing your podcasts!
Glad you are feeling better! At the moment I am loving knitting on my Jelly Roll Blanket, perfect mindless knitting
Thank you papa, you have filed my heart
I am on a total sock kick at the minute, i hope you get over your cold soon. Wishing Eva good luck in her exams. 🤞🤞
Welcome back home Ms. Lady. On my crochet needles is I've started back making animals for the little ones in the hospital - hippos, dinosaurs and dragons
I’m enjoying knitting socks as we are coming into winter. I’m also crocheting a granny square blanket. Thanks again for a wonderful podcast
Thank you for sharing your knitting with us, I love seeing all your wonderful projects! I’m currently knitting the Alpine Bloom and it’s turning out very nicely.
Your dad has a lovely voice. Calm and quiet . It’s great to have you back again, I am knitting a mitered square blanket with my advent minis and a strand of bare fingering yarn with Stelina held together I would love to win that lovely bag full of Yarny goodness.
So glad you are feeling a lot better now Ruth. I have socks on my needles at the moment. I just love knitting socks!
I am sorry to hear that you got bad news. I hope there are some treatment options available to you x
Welcome back, so nice to see you! What's on my needles?? Knus light using Knitting for Olive cotton merino. A fingering weight summer sweater using a yarn that is 250m to 50gms...a labor of love that may someday end!🤣
