Welcome to Ukrainian progressive metalcore/groove metal! Tatiana and the boys are some of the best in the business! And I know you are familiar with harsh vox. Their music blends grooves and genres seamlessly and this is a rabbit hole you won't regret going down. Check out "Perennial" live at Wacken, "Judgement and Punishment" one take, and "Teacher, Teacher". Great reaction

And there it is. Yet another soul stolen by the great Tati and hung on the wall in her very large trophy room where she sits and smiles softly while sipping her morning coffee.

Lol Jinjer is ukrainian proggy djent groove metal with complex time-signature maze, polyrhythms and multi-genre blending. They are one of the most talented 4-pieces ever. Tati is one of the best overall metal vocalists and lyricists in the business.

bro I saw them live in 2018 here in Chile, an incredible show, she has a unique aura...when she appeared on stage I took a couple of steps back, Tatiana and the band of course are a gem of rock metal, she and Alisse White-Gluz from Arch enemy turned the scene, this is another rabbit hole, my recommendations Who is gonna be the one, Teacher Teacher, Captain clock, Vortex, to start...

🔥Welcome to Jinjer, Kaireem! I just found your channel, saw your Jinjer reaction and subbed, great reaction! "I don't know what to say" 🤣 I love seeing people speechless reacting to this! Thank you for bringing the fantastic genre twisting music of Jinjer to more people! I love their energy, how tight they are, how down to earth they are, the heaviness mixed with complexity and groove, beautiful singing and growling and especially Tatiana's lyrics!
The first time I heard Pisces in 2019, I hadn't liked any metal with growling and it took me a few listens to start liking it, but now Tatiana is my favorite vocalist and Jinjer my favorite band (Pisces has been my wake up alarm for a few years and I still love it more every time I hear it, snooze is a thing of the past).
TLDR: skip to the last paragraph 😂
Sorry for the long comment, I just love Jinjer too much and love seeing people discover (and usually fall in love with) them and each of their songs!
My three favorite comments about Jinjer that I've seen, "terrifying levels of talent", "I hate it when a Jinjer song ends", and "that was more unexpected than my first child" 🤣
All four current members of Jinjer have essentially no formal musical training except Vlad the drummer who studied classical piano. For most of their songs, the three guys write most of the instrument music, then Tatiana writes most of the lyrics and melodies (she gets tons of well deserved credit for her vocal and stage performance abilities, but maybe not quite enough for her lyrical and musical composition abilities). Roman the guitarist has written a lot of the instrument music in the past, so he's a huge part of the beautiful sound of Jinjer, but Vlad the drummer (who also plays guitar and classical piano, but so far not in most Jinjer songs - I think he played piano in lainnereP) has been writing more of it and wrote nine of the eleven songs for the latest album Wallflowers. Eugene composes some - he wrote the instrument music for one song on Wallflowers and a few songs on other albums, and I know that apart from his amazing work on the bass, he adds riffs and has written lyrics for a few Jinjer songs.
Jinjer has been a tour-heavy band, touring almost nonstop from 2013 to 2020 and much of the time since then (with interruptions by covid and the US backed coup/proxy war), hard work that has made them fantastic live performers. The band (all members have been Ukrainian, with Russian their first language) started in eastern Ukraine (Donetsk) in 2008 as a group of three (then five) with none of the current members (they consider the official start of the band when Tatiana replaced the male vocalist and Roman joined as lead guitar 2009/2010), Vlad is the fifth drummer (joined in 2016) and it's been a group of four since 2015 (though they consider their road sound engineer Sasha to be a fifth member). I think they're still friends with all the former members and you can see their former guitarist turned actor, Dmitry Oksen, in older videos on guitar and a more recent video (Disclosure) playing an interrogator.
One of the things I love most about Jinjer is the messages in Tatiana's lyrics and the way she combines growling and beautiful singing with Jinjer's fantastic instrumentals to be so powerful for expressing the anger and pain in those messages: the anti-war message in Home Back, the anti-greed in On The Top, Mediator and No Hoard Of Value (also the horror of the coal mining industry in their home Ukraine), the protest song Who Is Gonna Be The One, the anti-fascism of Sit Stay Roll Over, the anger at people being narrow minded in Teacher Teacher and Judgment & Punishment, the struggles with mental health in Pit Of Consciousness, Vortex, Wallflower and Perennial, the giving voice to mother nature angry at humanity for letting capitalism destroy her in a bunch of songs like Ape, The Prophecy, Cloud Factory, Noah, Outlander and Bad Water. Other favorites are I Speak Astronomy, Retrospection, Words of Wisdom, Just Another, Captain Clock, Scissors, Exposed As A Liar, I Want It I'll Get It, A Plus Or A Minus, Dip A Sail, When Two Empires Collide, lainnereP, Prologue and Beggar's Dance (those last two are short album bookends that could do well together in one reaction if you're so inclined).
I haven't found a Jinjer song I don't love, so I think you can't go wrong if you choose any of them, but a few good choices might be Perennial (official and/or live at Wacken 2019, both are must-see), Teacher Teacher (official), Judgement & Punishment (official and/or Tatiana's one take performance, again both must-see), Pit of Consciousness (official and/or live in Kiev/Kyiv, a third where both are absolutely must-see) or the heartwrenching plea against war in Home Back (official video).
Thank you, Kaireem! I hope you'll keep trying out more Jinjer songs and enjoy! ❤🖤🤘

Jinjer finally appears on your channel! People usually discover this stuff before they go into the heavier deathcore lol. But it's never too late for Jinjer.
You have to check out "Jinjer Who's Gonna Be The One live Napalm Records"
Tatiana isn't anywhere near the best when it comes to harsh vocals. The guys in deathcore outshine her by miles. But Tati certainly does growl better than most of the guys in metalcore lol

me with falling in reverse. How a man can go from the most moving piano cover of last resort by papa roach. that made me actually cry, I used to make fun of kdis that liked that song, and man do IU feel bad.
to the dynamic range to "ronald with tech 9 and alex terrible. that was one of the hardest hitting songs of heavy metal genre mixing ive ever heard that had me snapping my own neck. if a band of this generation could hit the tier of bohemian rhospfu, that was it.
And was nice heavy. Not the boring death metal death growl heavy that is the same everywhere.
I liek vocal diversity in my heavy

Names are correct BTW. But no all of them have not been replaced. Eugene, Roman and essentially Tati are original members. Tati wasn't in the original band but she has been with them for a very long time. She joined not long after the band started. They have had a few guitar players come and go, also they have had quite a few drummers throughout the years. But this group makeup is the truth and honestly probably won't change anymore. They are a VERY VERY good band not only for Tati's singing ability but the entire band with their individual instruments are some of the best musicians in the industry. They have an amazing library of music.

Let me just say this, you haven't heard her lows yet 😈 Home Back is an emotional song about Russia invading Ukraine in 2014 and does her lowest there.

    • @MLuxemburg
      @MLuxemburg 19 днів тому +1

minor correction: in 2014 was the US backed coup led by Ukrainian fascists (Azov Battalion, Banderites, etc) that started a civil war where the Ukrainian military, led by Ukrainian fascists, killed 14 thousand Russian speaking Ukrainians in the Donbas region including Donetsk. The "fire in the hole" lyric in Home Back is about the Ukrainian military killing Russian speaking Ukrainians. That's what Jinjer had to flee. Russia got involved in 2022 to stop the US from handing nuclear weapons to the US backed fascists in Ukraine. How much do you know about the CIA cutout NED that continues to fund, arm and train fascists like this all over the world for the express purpose of staging coups?
Azov Battalion, Right Sector and others were placed in the Donbas to kill as many Russian speaking Ukrainians as they could get away with, with multiple failed attempts to blame Russia for these murders. The murders were taking place in the Donbas, which is why Jinjer had to flee that part of Ukraine (they had to decide between staying and being unable to tour or leaving family and friends to tour and being unable to return more than once per year).
Crimea would have been more difficult for those Ukrainian fascist groups, because there were historic reasons that Russia already had military bases in Crimea, none were added after the 2014 US backed coup, The people in Crimea voted to leave Ukraine because they did not recognize the US backed coup regime which was de facto run by the US backed Ukrainian fascists (you can find video of those fascists pointing guns at the Ukrainian parliament).
A friend of Jinjer's bassist Eugene was killed by Ukrainian fascists, not by Russians. When you listen to Jinjer's song Sit Stay Roll Over, take note that it has lyrics (by Eugene) directly quoting the mantra of some of these Ukrainian fascists, "one path, one past, one trust", which is then flipped in the lyrics to, "it's not one's path, it's not one's past, it's not one's trust, it's not MY path, it's not MY past, it's NOT MY TRUST!" Make sure if you get any part of that song stuck in your head, it's the flipped part and not the fascist motto. Please join the 87% of the world that does not believe the US war profiteering propaganda. Thank you.

@@MLuxemburgthe coup in 2014 was the one made by neo-nazi mercenaries from russia, like Rusich group, sent by Kremlin and backed by russian army. They were coordinated by neo-nazi Igor Girkin. He himself told the whole story, that's why he is now in jail: he compromised Kremlin's propaganda and putin didn't liked that.
