    All Rolo wanted was to have a family after a lifetime of being used. He found his family and didn't want to lose that feeling. I think Rolo was one of the few people who understood Lelouch and knew how he sometimes even lied to himself to find the strength to keep going. While I'm sure Lelouch didn't like what he did to Shirley, he didn't express any hate towards Rolo in his final moments. Or even after he was gone. All he expressed was worry and panic. That locket that he claimed was important to him because it was for Nunnally, he didn't take it and give it to her. Instead he gave it to Rolo because he did love him like a brother. Even after Lelouch spat those hateful words at him, Rolo still came to help. Because he believed in his big brother. R.I.P. Rolo Lamperouge.

    Whenever Lelouch does his acting. he never lies instead he only says lines that the other person was wanting. A good example was the last episode when Suzaku was asking him questions. Suzaku already blames him for everything so every answer he gave him was that it was him and it was the plan all along. Also, the smile of Lelouch during rolo's death was real because it was the same smile he wears with Nunnally and Euphie on the island.

      She knew 100% how devastating that bomb was! But she was so blinded by her hatred for Zero and her desire to beat him that she didn't stop to truly understand what firing F.L.E.I.J.A. mean't.

    • @bleakwulf
      @bleakwulf Рік тому +11

      Nina made it actually for eliminating her target: Zero. She of course knew its use, (i.e., on the battle field only) and its current blast range, perhaps to ensure little to no chance of escape when it detonates near Zero. it's just unfortunate that the Geass took over Suzaku and caused him to intently aim at and destroy the threat on the Geass command to "live". That threat was Kallen; but since Lloyd and Cecille tampered with and modified the Guren, the Guren's evasive maneouvre leveled up, and FLEIJA thus didn't hit it directly, but hit and detonated near the government bureau instead. Nina's calculations may haven't factored innocent people as collateral damage, a designated battlefield wouldn't have as much anyway, maybe. it's just that the Tokyo settlement became one (a battleground) in just a matter of hours, so people didn't have as much time to flee from the imminent and/or ongoing battle.

    It's one thing Chris so say but look at all the progress Zero made (they even say it in the show as his defense) but the counterargument they give to that is how many Japanese he killed with Euphy and also how he killed and/or brainwashed japanese leaders or blackight staff too meaning no one is safe from his murder or brainwashing not even allies. He also refused to tell others like Toto about the bomb in his self interested pursuit of Nunnely again not in the intrest of his team or japan. The argument of "well look at the good he's done" ignorantly ignores all of that or what could happen further with a leader who doesn't care about you and could likely just take your mind. That along with the prince and princess agreeing to help the Blacknights have japan made them realize Zero is not good for them.

I doubt I am the only one who noticed this..I do know that some ppl throw up that reaction as a sort of self defense bc they don't want to feel bad or feel the weight of the scene but thats the purpose of the scene..to draw out a emotional reaction to a character who in this case the viewers either don't like or have set feelings for and yet they get unexpected depth to said character.

    To answer Chris's question at the end about why Brittania wouldn't just come back and invade.
    #1.) China and the EU. By this point China is being run by Xing Xe and the Princess and they're allied with the black knights. The EU as well.
    #2.) Schnitzel. He's not one to break a peace agreement and would probably just try to puppet them slowly instead of wasting resources.
    #3.) Succession of the throne. Although it should go to Ulysses, he's incompetent and quite content already. Plus there's like 60+ other people vying for the throne, and Schnitzel and Violetta are the best options. There's to be internal conflict.
    #4.) They'd be allied. They gave over the leader of a rebellion to peace terms. Legally they couldn't do anything. Break that and the world would be against them again.

    Schneizel isn't like his father. He would be a far far better Emperor than Charles Vi Britania.
    He will kill a few million people but he wants peace.
    Ozymandias (Watchmen), Pain (Naruto), Light Yagami before he went crazy (Deathnote) and Schneizel (Code Geass), they all share the same character traits which makes them great antagonists.
    Their brain may be diabolical, but their heart is in the right place.

    These black knights have every right to be suspicious of such a power like Geass, but to be honest if they were under it's control they wouldn't be able to betray him in the first place, and I'm sure if they were thinking more logically they'd come to that conclusion as well

      while Chris may be right, Ohgi doesn't necessarily is wrong or short-sighted. even for a brief period Ohgi thinks Japan deserves peace and independence, at least for some time under his watch and influence, and such small win is his atonement for blindly pushing for Zero's leadership in the early stages.

    This is where the Black Knights officially lost me, especially that traitor Ohgi. Never mind that they betrayed their leader on the word of their sworn enemy and Ohgi's woman (an enemy commander he harbored for months), but by making that under the table deal with Brittania they also betrayed the rest of the UFN.

      Lelouch betrayed them
      I can understand not being happy with their decision but it wasn't one made lightly. There was evidence of his geass power.
      As far as they all knew he might as well have been using their cause, their lives and their people to seize the thrown himself.
      How do you justify the black knights operating beneath the man that ordered the slaughter of their people by Euphy?

      @@TecTitan my only issue with that is that they easily bought into the hypnosis thing. They should think that if they were under hypnosis then no matter what schneizel said, they would have followed lelouch. Also ohgi betrayed zero the moment he started protecting Viletta. If not for that, vv would probably not have taken nunally back in s1

    • @bleakwulf
      @bleakwulf Рік тому +3

      @@rohanmanuel1815 no, they didn't easily bought the hypnosis thing; they were convinced of it, practically from the recorded firsthand confession of Lelouch incriminating himself. The only other persons who can validate firsthand that Lelouch is Zero were Cornelia and Villeta; Diethard, seeming to be the last one of them standing up for Zero there, can not refute Villeta, and so there is no further arguments there but to move forward (like what Schneizel did) and negotiate (like how Ohgi did). Ohgi had to take responsibility, to reclaim Japan's independence however short-lived that maybe for now, but that is just a start for him to at least feel atonement for oushing for Zero's leadership since early on.

      A major theme is the value of success derived by the wrong means.
      If you commit no evil but fail to save the world, what good is your actions then?
      If you commit evil and in doing so save the world, how truly wrong can that evil be?
      Suzaku wants to do it the right way, taking his shared goal with Lelouch and dividing it into two completely different operations that are directly at odds with each other.
      The writing in this show is so good I could go on about almost virtual nonsense all day and it still makes a lot more sense than the garbage anime people try to compare it too.
