San Francisco is a 1954 song by George Corey and Douglass Cross

That's a beautiful arrangement. Piano players like me are always on the lookout for great and challening arrangements of the standards. You ought to transcribe them - many of us would very happily pay to be able to then learn and play your arrangements.

Thank you very much for your kind comment. The Yamaha piano is the best I have owned although some of the rhythms built into my old Yamaha 7000 keyboard suited many of my early you tube videos. I sometimes regret giving it to my granddaughter.

I thought it went quite well and I am my own worst critic. Much of the right hand playing is as written on the music, the left hand is Mine. It is as I was taught to play many years ago using the chords as a basis for the accompaniment, and so I suppose it is my arrangement of the piece.
My wife and I loved the times each year we spent in Tenerife in a rented Bungalow just up the hill out side of Puertro De La Cruz. The bungalow had a most wonderful view of the mountain and the sea from a terrace above an underground car park for the community of bungalows. We spent several years enjoying the views and the area when my wife's mother came on holiday with us.
It was a good time for us all.

hi Stanley, think David unfortunatly left us a few years ago, sorry to say so. 10/11yrs ago I was talking to him and he playd often on this chanel. Its so sad, he was an excellent pianist. But he left us his wonderfull music

Hi. Thank you for your comments. There are no piano sheets for this arrangement. It is my arrangement. Most of it is taken from the standard sheet music you can buy from sheet music direct.
Improvisation around the chords is my input to the piece.

Hello Edgar. It's good to hear from you after such a while. It's almost 4 years since Coimbra. The San Francisco song must have connected with you. My memory of the song was jogged after seeing an 86 year old Tony Bennett sing the song. He is still a hard act to follow, and he has a good head of hair. In those pub days of long ago every singer who got behind the mic. thought he was either Tony B. or Frank S., but very few could get near to phrasing the song correctly and usually totally lost the rhythm. But it was all good fun. I either waited for them to catch up or seamlessly missed a bar out.

The theme song for a tv show called Trailer Park Boys (Based here in Canada) is a variation of this song. The Trailer Park Supervisor Mr. Jim Lahey always comes up with these analogies involving the word shit. The one episode he mentions shit rats so his boyfriend Randy was confused so he asked "shit rats Mr. Lahey? If that's not enough of an explanation i dont know what is
