The advanced drills that each student has available is every weapon rank where they are better then byleth. like lysethea has high reason, so she can teach it to you. thats also why some peopble have advanced drills and others dont
I forgot to comment, but in your last video, the Fallen Star combat art is Failnaught’s unique skill, and what it does is it make Claude automatically dodge the next attack, and also that combat art has good range. Also just in case you aren’t confused if you go into a battle, they switched Claude’s gambit for his timeskip, but you can switch it back to Stride if you want. His new gambit does a lot of damage though and covers a decent area. Also Failnaught is the bow Byleth uses in Smash.
I don't know if it's been mentionned yet, but usually support conversations C and B are written as if they happenned pre timeskip. So the voices still sound younger, and as you noticed with Cyril, they can look like their character growth regressed all of a sudden. I think it's good to know when you go into them cuz it can be jarring to watch (to me it is, at least).
The star things you mentioned are like skills the characters have extra potential on that often don't fit their base class they gravitate towards. For example for Felix its reason and for Lysithea its swords, so I always teach both to both and have them as the magic sword duo
On the subject of supports, one 3H Let's Play I watched took suggestions at the end of each route and reacted to between 3 and 5 supports he missed. I'd recommend something like that, because Byleth’s supports are often the weakest

I enjoyed seeing your reaction to the timeskip designs. Out of all the students designs, Caspar, Claude, and Petra’s designs are some of my favorites.
