How Tina Fey’s High School Experience Inspired Mean Girls

After reading Rosalind Wiseman’s Queen Bees and Wannabes, Tina Fey suggested to SNL producer Lorne Michaels to make it into a film. Fey was not only inspired by the fetch book, but she also borrowed elements from her own experience in high school.
