Used kits are only getting cheaper, and the Nano 2 is backwards compatible with their existing motor system, so I’d suggest it’s a PERFECT time to snatch up a used M kit even if only for the nice strong motors and all the cables. When a new version of M comes out, I’d expect it to be backwards compatible, meaning current M users could just buy a hand unit and use their existing motors.
I’d LOVE to see premarked disks on the next version, and the lens profiling from the Nano 2 I’d expect to see also. Bonus points if they include rangefinder support of some sort, a more budget-friendly FocusBug would be awesome.
The screen also needs repositioning to the side so you can see it at the same time as you’re reading the disk marks.

I wrote an email to Tilta and they said that a Nucleus M 2 will come out next year. Its a bit too long for me, i want it now.

That is why I bought the Nano II its ok and not very expensive. But Nucleus M2 likely next year IBC be teased, 2025 NAB shown and 2025 IBC be finally able to buy, so that take way too long.

@@chungdhaSo you use the Nano 2 actually in your setup? Is it better than the Nucleus M? It doesnt look so professional, more for content creators. Or would you recommend it getting it as an upgrade for Nucelus M?

Maybe they just start developing these issues after a while, especial coming from a rental house where they are being used so frequently. I bought mine new about 3yrs ago and never had any issues with it. Granted, I don't really use it that much...I'd say about 20 time in the pass 3yrs

I think you had a bad unit.

These all separate rental units from different rental houses and also some are units from the DOP I had used, so not just one bad unit but multiple bad ones. This is main reason not to purchase one myself, as too many issues to trust when multiple ones has issues. As important for AC is that the product works and can be trusted. Also have confirm with other users with similar experience, especially friction in cold weather is well known issue by other AC, knob calibration issue is known by Tilta otherwise they wouldnt had to make a tutorial video about it.
