honestly the biggest issue a lot of people have in this game is that they just can't run it at a competitive FPS. Yes, hardware advantage is real. When I went from a walmart pre-built to a custom made gaming PC my gameplay instantly improved alongside my FPS. You can take the time to improve your mechanical skill with an aim trainer program and adjust your sensitivity, FOV, and graphical quality for optimal visibility, but if you're running the game at 30FPS vs a guy who's running it at 120 you're going to be at a severe disadvantage that skill just won't be able to compensate for. I can't even recall how many times I was outplayed on my old machine. I'd run up behind some guy, completely clueless to my presence, and start firing at his head. He'd flip around, do a little jump, spam his healthkits, and destroy me. It's nearly impossible to track movements like that below 60FPS.
If you want to play competitively you NEED hardware good enough to run the game at 60FPS at least. Otherwise you're never going to be able to reach the levels of some of these pro players out here with 5KD and 60% accuracy rate. Obviously FPS isn't everything and mechanical skill still plays a big role but all I'm saying is that you're gonna be at a permanent disadvantage if you're playing at low FPS.

Vehicle gameplay have lower FPS requirements. So PS2 still can offer something to the player with old PC.

man. Right from engi build tips to this... nice channel. +1 sub and a comment to the all mighty algorithm.
Edit: Hello, me from 2 days after discovering this video. I followed a couple tips in here, mainly the concept of an "x cm 360", and I just want to leave my thoughts.
I dug around for a while after watching this trying to find a good jumping off point for sensitivity, and apparently the average is somewhere between 15 and 25 cm 360. I'm not saying that you should limit yourself to that, I just think it might be a good jumping off point. I personally started at 25... and previously I was probably rocking a solid sub 5 cm 360 that was highly inconsistent and 1800 DPI. I went from never winning duels to being able to go into them with some confidence and about a 50% success rate... so I think it worked.

Hey Cyrious! Thanks so much for making this video. Speaking as someone who's played for some time without a clear idea of how to improve, I think this series will be an amazing resource for new and veteran players alike. Outside joining a mid-fit there aren't many resources for intermediate players, so thanks for starting this series!

something Cyrious hasn't said in the video but I think it would be quite motivational to alot of people; even very good players sometime suck, they also can die 3 times in a row without accomplishing shit. We all have our good and bad moments. If you play alot and with the will to be effecive, you'll have kill streaks and death streaks. No one is always good.
you guys also need to take into consideration that outside of game's luck there is also your irl state. Don't expect to turn into gun jesus at 3 am in complete dark after 7h of work or whatever. think that you'll have moments to perform and others to chill.

There was another video where you went over grip. Very helpful. I tried the bear paw (forget what you called it) when playing Elden Ring and it made a big difference. Unfortunately I find that using that grip when using excel is really uncomfortable. I think how you sit in the chair and how your arm is propped matters too, like you need a mousepad with a wrist rest. Whereas with a fingertip grip you can rest your forearm more comfortably on the table, great for the office work, but shit for control.

In my opinion DPI doesn't matter that much unless you go way to high. A big reason a lot of pro players use a low sensitivity is because most pros play something like CS where enemy positioning is pretty predictable and the game overall is pretty slow paced so it works better there, the important thing is the force needed to move the mouse and building a muscle memory around that, if your mouse is way to heavy you will require more force to get it moving same goes for a super grippy mouse pad that can make small and fast adjustments hard because it requires more force to make it stop or start because of inertia. So my personal recommendation is to get a pretty light mouse and preferably a wireless one because of the cable drag that can affect a light mouse a lot, and get a good quality big mouse pad. My personal setup is a Razer Viper V2 Pro mouse and a Glorious Elements Ice mouse pad and that works pretty great

I definitely think the most important part of this video that your average person doesn't talk about is "Your average mouse pad is crap for gaming". Very quickly into my journey of trying to get good I realized that it just wasn't going to get possible for me with the actual physical setup of my hardware to compete with pros, and while I continue to practice and try to get better I know that there's an upper limit on how good I can get unless I begrudgingly reconfigure my gaming area so I have a massive area to move my mouse in. This is probably more important advice for anyone than literally anything else you can tell them; the more space you have, the more likely you are to have enough space for the settings that are perfect for you. If you do not have enough space to find that sweet spot, you're always fighting an uphill battle against people that do.

You also use a very heavy mouse if you are actually using the naga in the back ground. Most pros use a 400-800 dpi anything above most people do not have the dexterity to control the quick movement.

Thats a Logitech G600 I've played PS2 off and on for about 3000+ hours in total I never had a issue with it, for some reason despite its weight and shape it fits in really well for PS2 style of mixed infantry/vehicles game play, if PS2 was pure infantry yeah i'd go with a fps mouse. Hopefully Logitech eventually gets around to making a wireless lighter version of the G600.

The mouse is good , the sesitivity is not stable .

To the point off finding your own sensetivity i can advise you to youse an aimtrainer that gives you scores and no automatic training coraction. Then you play multiple rounds on your old swetings to get a feeling for the aimtrainer and after it you schould start making adjustments most players have a Realy hige mouse senc so you should start lowering your sence and trie out againe if you score improves its good and schange it more in small steps. if you found your personal sweat spot play with it for a longer time and reaped your prosider in the aim trainer. but you shouldent ofer doing it with this meted after you realy found your sence dont change it anymor keep it as it is.

Get the scimitar mouse by Corsair then bind all 12 keys to different things like grenade throwing, reloading etc. ( Use the most used ones.)
Swear to god this is like going from playing on a console controller as a kid to keyboard + mouse. PC MASTERRACE
It will take 1-2 weeks to build the muscle memory but once you done this there is no going back.
    (Edit)
You will basically never have to remove your sweaty hand from wasd. Like the elite you was born to be.

Hear me out, if someone asks for advice on sensitivity just show them Gan's mouse accel time video. Then when they look at it, get confused, turn on mouse acceleration, and go back on live they will be waaaaaaaaaay less accurate which in turn will give you more time to aim against them and get those headshots. Win the aim battle by ruining their aim. 5d chess

I’ve learned whatever sensitivity you are most comfortable at, put it a little lower for about a month or two. Then once you’ve gotten used to it, put it a little higher, and once you got used to that sensitivity, increase it again till you get used to that one. Eventually you can train your brain and reflexes to adapt to higher sensitivities, and once you found a place you feel is perfect, you no longer have to worry about going further.

And by the way i think you should have gone to the topik off having diffrent mous speed in ADS and in hipfire. i personlie rly like to hav it the same as long as i see the outside on my scope. but loots off blayers enjoy to have it diferent what i personly think is bad becous you need to have 2 difrent massel memories what can work but is more complicated.
