I hate when I can’t hear the bass in songs. I have the upmost appreciation for mixers/engineers and artists who want us to hear the bass in studio versions of tracks (along with the other instruments). Everyone shines.
Damn I love bass play throughs. They sounds so much better than the studio versions of the song. Another great bass play through is Prayer Position by Nolly of Periphery.
Damn I remember meeting him with my band playing with his band at the Refuge in Cupertino CA 8 something years ago. He’s come a long way since then. Pretty awesome
Have Heart shirt 🙏🏽 such a contrast in the dopest way possible. Great playing/tone too! I like how somebody isn’t playing a Dingwall for once haha still love them.
Nice nod to Forging a Future Self in the beginning of the video! I bought that album from the band on MySpace (revealing my age here), they even shipped it for free even though I live in europe. Good guys, good tunes!
Adrian’s tone is absolutely SICK!! You can hear every note - all 10,000 \m/ !! ATB are the best prog metal band out currently imo. Seen em live for both Dig Deep & Evergreen album releases. Can’t wait for some post quarantine ATB pits!!!
@@Guitarest17 yeah I have seen that one I think. But on the contrary, the Lucas Mann “shards of scorched flesh” tutorial he talks about alternating those gallops n stuff. That def helped me get faster.
Hi pls Adrian or someone who owns this bass ... I have a quick questions.... First i cant see ... Does anybody knows on what mid switch position he has that switch? And Second Improtant .... Is about neck dive and balanced of this bass. I did tried some of those high SR models at guitar shops and they were neck heavy... But i really love this one... SS frets, high polish, that beautiful finish, Nordstrand pups.... And i know SR models just have that neck heavines.... But I was curious.. I am playing like Adrian neck high and body lower, if i would be playing like that, if that neck is that heavy to fall down even from that high position?? Does anyone knows who owns it? Or maybe Adrian, if he reads this.... Thanks to anyone...
I love the fact u can actually HEAR the bass. Kinda puts a new perspective on the song for me
I hate when I can’t hear the bass in songs. I have the upmost appreciation for mixers/engineers and artists who want us to hear the bass in studio versions of tracks (along with the other instruments). Everyone shines.
i hate the fact that most bands neglect their bassists
Dude these guys live is madness. The bass is so beefy and sits really well in the mix
Yep ive seen them live three times and theyre really good live
listen to the flac and you can hear the BASS
oh my god that breakdown 1:54 i think my prostate was resonating.
Mine too
As a bassist I want all albums to sound like this lmao
Check out the song Stacker by my band ENOX, normally i'm not the guy plugging in the yt comments but if you're a bassist think you'll dig it
*When the bassist does mixing and mastering for an album.*
can actually hear the bass and it sounds good but not too overpowering
As a guitarist, same.
As every other person on this earth no one wants this 😂
Seen this band live, they're all absolute monsters.
Saw them with aild and with kse and parkway, they are up there as one of my top live bands for sure
Tightest band I’ve ever seen
Can confirm, Bass was on point, but vocals are unbelievable live!
Dope! It’s also really cool hearing an instrumental version of this.
Damn I love bass play throughs. They sounds so much better than the studio versions of the song. Another great bass play through is Prayer Position by Nolly of Periphery.
The Omnific's videos are my favorites. They basically all play throughs.
@@AKLowEnd :D
Check my channel out and let me know what you think 😉
The swig of Corona at 4:02 got me 😂
I'm really glad they got Adrian as the replacement. Dude fits right in.
I've seen you before! Good taste
Song takes me back to high school. Wish the faceless would do something cool again
First Last have you ever heard of a band named Krosis? They remind me of the Akeldama days.
REMIXED
VERSION
OF
FORGING
A
FUTURE
SELF
PLS
A while back they redid a couple of tracks off of it. But, a full one would be sick.
@@JUNK_ZONE I wasn't a big fan of the new versions because the old vox were my favorite part of that record. So I'd love to hear a remix vs. a remake
On Spotify they redid A Steady Decline, Fingers Like Daggers, and Redeeming the wretched. It's under singles though, not albums.
I've been getting REALLY into this band
That tone sounds killer!
I love his Have Heart t-shirt. What an awesome band and his playing is great as well
Damn I remember meeting him with my band playing with his band at the Refuge in Cupertino CA 8 something years ago. He’s come a long way since then. Pretty awesome
I love Adrian he gave me a pick once at a show and it’s on a necklace now!!!
That dark glass tone. Ibanez basses and dark glass is the epitome of this. It's like p basses and ampeg for punk. It's natural element.
Ampeg is pretty nasty for metal too tho
That was Awesome!
Thank you Adrian and Sumerian we need more of it!
RIP JLowe
Have Heart shirt 🙏🏽 such a contrast in the dopest way possible. Great playing/tone too! I like how somebody isn’t playing a Dingwall for once haha still love them.
That Have Heart shirt is dope af.

I like that tone. He is a great bass player
Why I've leaned into bass playing over guitar. That low end is so damn good
I aspire to be this good on bass one day. Awesome play-through. \m/
Hell yeah actually hearing a badass bass getting rocked is the best thing ever. Bass for life
Loved it. Thank you Sumerian Records❤️❤️❤️
Wow, there's so many people in the comments that haven't heard this track before. Go back and listen to bands' older stuff!
Fucking crazy. Rareform is literally their best album for me. Hell, it's one of my favourite metalcore albums ever.
@@timmt2884 Indeed
Drifts has one of the best progressions and breakdowns I've ever heard. That song ends on a fucking banger.
Nothing in ATBs discography touches rareform. Wolves within could have been if the production wasnt so bad Bob Rock would think it's good.
1:30 my man, that's nastier than an old man's fart. Really chrushed my head that tone.
this earned my like: 4:40
Bro the mix on this is soooo good
It’s amazing how you meant to catch this stuff literally the first video hit this morning
Such a beautiful sound that this instrument makes.
I'm not a bassist, but I was excited to see this video because I adore this song.
Dude that dark glass backline is amazing...great work and tone!
Such a great tone. Crispy clear
Damm...I go way back..chris squire...dude u nail it ...so good man ..thank u
What a tease with the Pi intro hahaha. Kickass as always, can’t wait to see you guys on the road again!!!

Love the heavy bass!
Sweet cover, and thanks for reminding me how much of a blast this is to play!
Awesome! Awesome Bass play to an awesome song!
some brutal bass work
Such a nice, thick tone
one of your best songs guys
After the burial without vocals. YES!
After the burial is amazing
Missed when the bass was this present on the studio albums.
I listened to KoRn, and red hot chili peppers back in the day because of the bass playing.
That tone sure sounds thicker than my belly fat!
I love this band! lost in the static is my fav song
The main riff in that song is so simple and so catchy
Love the Egyptian feel to it!
My favorite is A Wolf Amongst Ravens. That low c# fucks me so good!
Love this band
I wish I could play this amazingly
Hell yeah we got throwbacks 🤘& still RIP to the homie
Please please please do more ATB bass vids!! This was bloody ace.
More of this please!! 💜🖤🖤💜
Sick dude. Flawless
Massive tone! I super dig it!
A few years ago they put out a video of him talking to himself while playing on stage during various warped tour performances. Pretty funny stuff
love the sounds ! ! !
AWESOME! Adrian did a great job 🤘🏽
Super fucking cool to know this guy comes from my hometown
P O N Y B O Y

Okay, now make every After The Burial song with a bass front like this
Nice work brother
Amazing!
This is mint mate!
Awesomeeee !!!!!
1:54 God that makes me so happy lol.
This is Special DAMN !!!!
From 3:16 things become interstellar :P
Ohhh yes ❤️
Hell yes 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
That's nothing more than baddass!!
Does anyone know all the gear he is using? I'd love a list.
Sick AF
Nice!
Hell yes🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Dude I can’t believe he doesn’t alternate those triplets! That would wear me out! Beast
Nolly had a video where he explains why he mostly down picks everything. You get a lot more attack and consistency.
@@Guitarest17 yeah I have seen that one I think. But on the contrary, the Lucas Mann “shards of scorched flesh” tutorial he talks about alternating those gallops n stuff. That def helped me get faster.
4:01 and now a word from our sponsors ;)
Como se extrañaba lo clásico
holy fuck 3:17 is SO MUCH BETTER with that bass tone/mix.
Darkglass forever.
🖤🖤🖤
Amaze😍
Man that fucking Rocked!!!
One Official BAD-ASS BASS PLAYER
damn, good old atb
watching it again
This just kicked my ass
Yo on a side note, what is the jamming tuning on that 5-stringed beast of a bass? 😱
My boiiiiiisssss
More please
🔥🔥🔥🔥
awesome, now a guitar playthrough please
Damn! Sounds really cool. \../
I’m new to this band never herd of them . I can hear load and clear now my little heavy metal Pumkins 😝😏😟
Pass my beer 🍺🤘
