I could absolutely live like that 24/7 365! I love camping and get so sad when it’s time to go home. I recently spent 8 days in the mountains and had to go home and back to the 9-5 and I seriously contemplated staying in the mountains ❤
Woke up, got coffee, watching this while I water the grass. Press play, drink coffee, sip water, dream of fishing, watch someone else doing what I would love to do. Awesome presentation as always...
That is so cool with the Mountain Goats. You have the best job in the world. Please keep sharing so we can experience it through you. Be safe my friend.
I can't understand how 2.8k people can spend the time to watch this video but lest than 400 can be bothered to hit the like button. It takes a milli second. Show you appreciation folks.
Oh my. There are no words. This is a unique, special video gift. Ive been under a rock. I did not know these van camping videos existed. With gratitude. Jenn 12.24.24
The video of a lifetime. Your a lucky man. I was camping up by Parish Campground, looked out my window....6 deer in my "yard". Right up next to my R Pod trailer. Watch them as i drank my morning coffee. 🎉
Omg...i love the mountain goats...ive got to get on the road...im so excited..im a van dweller as well...what a beautiful experience for you and for us to see..thankyou so much...your voice is perfect...so calming to me...😊❤ oh im a new subscriber too..just found you...
Iceco is the exact same refrigerator/freezer as I have made by SETPOWER. They must be built by the same manufacturer. And I absolutely love it. Reliable, efficient and I personally love the LED light inside. Lol
What a perfect little spot to get water! As always a great video! I think your van is well set up,the ad wasn’t even that bad as you made it interesting.
Dude, I don't mind the ads because you are making these videos FOR US FOR FREE. Thank you! And I have a little ICECO fridge that I was worried wouldn't last bumpy washboard forest service roads and it is awesome! And their customer service is great.
I am a new subscriber, absolutely hooked😊loved when you spent time with the goats 🐐, they are alot bigger than I thought, nearly the size of a cow 🐄, or maybe they are 😂anyways can't wait to see more of your channel sending ❤😊from WA Australia stay safe
Once again, majestic footage without the need of the newest camping must-haves. Thank you Jason. With only a lifetime to enjoy this beauty, it begs the question, which you hinted at in regards to the fire devastation. Without an eternal afterlife, these fleeting moments here can be interpreted in so many ways--most of them depressing. I hope you found the truth. The truth of the trinity and the gospel.
I also have an iceco and quite pleased for how it hold up. I picked up another brand for exact size I need ... and can make it as a dedicated freezer ..
In awe right now of the gift of getting time to observe mountain sheep...so glad you experienced it. You deserve it...just getting out there is nature and seeing the beauty in everything. Thank you so much Jason🙏🏾✨ Michael the mountain man part was truly inspiring and enjoyable to meet such a person who truly relies on the land to feed himself...and touching how nurturing he is to his beautiful horses.
Probably the best video I've seen you make. I truly enjoyed it. Mountain goats near by, trout fishing, and chipmonks pestering you. Fun to watch. Thank you for sharing.
What a life. I ran across his channel by accident a week or two ago, and kinda lost it. Jumped over for a minute and subscribed. Again…excellent, excellent video as always. I think it’s the best one on the Van channel to date. Keep up the practice, fly fishing only looks hard. Once you get the hang, it a blast. Even the tiniest fish feel like monsters 🤣😂. I really need to break mine out, restring it, and throw around a few flies. Safe travels 😁👍
Fly fishing is an endeavor one must dedicate time to. Worthwhile endeavor. Jason, not sure what weight rod/reel you have, but for those small cutthroat (or any small panfish) a 2/3 wt. is truly a blast!! As mentioned above, the tiniest fish feel like record breakers. 😀
LOL. Watching this again, found myself thinking a 1/8 oz Yellow Panther Martin with Red spots and a silver blade on some 4lb test would be perfect 😅. I am counting the days till I go up deer hunting. Hoping my lungs will hold out. Ever since COVID I have issues off and on with altitudes over 6-7k. Did ok this last spring, hoping I can do as well in a few weeks.
You're like some sort of a Disney princess with all that wildlife coming up to you! Lol 🤣 just kidding, Jason. I love your videos. Keep up the good work! 👍🏼
Longtime viewer here. I don’t comment very often but this video was one of the best you’ve put out imo. Great shots of the goats and the section on Micheal was amazing as well. I didn’t even know there were still people out there in the lower 48 living like that. Very inspiring!!! Love it man! And keep ‘em coming! Unlike most overlanding channels I watch I notice that you take the time to give back to the land. Most don’t post that type of content and I love it. 👏🏼👏🏼💯🔥
Wow, I never thought I would think of mountain goats as being 'majestic' but you captured them in a way I've never seen before. So beautiful to just watch them live their little lives. 🐐 Thank you for sharing, you've earned a new subscriber. ❤
Ahhhh, love it! So inspiring to watch and dream. I have horse camped in central oregon several times. Nothing quite like it, being with the horses 24/7 like that.
Awesome video as usual. Really liked the fly fishing too. Would love to see more of that in more Oregon locations. Thanks for sharing. Peace and safe travels.
I was hiking once in the Grand Canyon and as I was coming up from the bottom of the canyon into the Indian Gardens area i had a large Big Horn Sheep Ram following me for about a mile on a ridge across from the trail I was hiking on. Occasionally I would stop to take a photo of him & he would turn his side to me. Another trip into the Grand Canyon with my son who was 13 at the time we came upon a Big Horn Sheep ewe with her young kid. The kid ate some dead dry brush from my son's hand. They see a lot of hikers so they get pretty use to people. I was impressed by how much care Michael used in placing the saddles on his horse's backs & the pack/panniers on his mule. I have had 6 horses thru the years & always tried to gently place their saddles on their backs rather than sling in on. A good horseman respects their animal's overall welfare.
Listen, for some one who watches a lot of adventure channels, I am an adventurer myself, and am working on getting on the road to Nomad life, i love your content, and have for a long while. If you have a sponsor and feature their content. Sponsor away! I actually have found some great products and learn from those sponsor sections. I guess if a viewer doesn't like it, they can FWD.
Wow what a picturesque spot! Really cool seeing the mountain goats and so close! The beef stroganoff is Marshall’s go to camp meal. Horseback would be quite the adventure! Great episode as always, Jason! -Courtney
Love my Iceco JP50. Comes in clutch for so many reasons. Even at home in my backyard when I’m grilling I can keep some drinks on chill and not have to go back and forth inside the house.
Thanks for sharing the adventure! We've been wanting to check out that area. We seem to only make it as far as the Ochocos. Those lakes are beautiful. You can see that Michael really does care for his horses. They are in fantastic shape. No saddle or pack sores and they all look well fed.
Kind of a weird analogy, but very accurate. Beautiful area. Pretty cool with the goats chillin with you. Thank you for the work you put into these videos. 😁👍
Great show tonite Jason..:-) While the goats were near you I subconsciously moved slowly to grab my beer or scratch my nose, so they didnt bolt. And a nice meet up with Michael and his horses. They are so calming....And a top session on the fly rod. An excellent video mate, well done...
wow!!! what an amazing, interesting share. thank you. you being surrounded by the mountain goats was rad. visiting michael, his horses, mule, hearing about his nomadic life was extremely epic, beautiful and awe inspiring. continued travel mercies and blessings. 🕊
Do you have a video where you talk about the equipment youve used? I love your set up so much and i also want to build something based on the sportsmobile econoline; they were never imported to the UK so im having to work with a 2wd VW T5. Thank you for providing this amazing content brother 🙏🏻
Woke up made a coffee and enjoyed my morning watching this amazing episode. I admire you're videography skills Jason. Excited for some winter episodes.
Be careful around those mountain goats. They can be territorial. A number of years ago, near where I live, a hiker got gored in the thigh. The goat hit the femoral artery and the hiker bled out and died on the trail.
Excellent chapter in your vanlife endeavors did Michael say he had his own UA-cam channel I did not pick up the name for that channel I have been watching a UA-cam channel called Born 100 years ago but this man is or may be retiring due to health and I really got hooked on it but that just happened less than a month ago and now it's more than likely he's going to retire and I really enjoyed the outback on horses and mules aspect still appreciate the channel you have and put out to us UA-cam watchers what though was Michael's UA-cam channel call if you would please 🥺

Nice video. That Strawberry area looks like a place I need to explore. That was pretty cool you meeting Michael and his horses and Mule.
You should! Gary.
Don't put it off! Been wishing to go there all my life. Not able to anymore! Just do it!

Thank you for the wonderful comment
Very cool episode Jason! Loved the Mountain Goats and Michael was a modern Jeremiah Johnson 👍
Experience of a life time
My wife’s been laid up from surgery, so getting to go camping just by watching you is really helping out here
What an awesome experience with those mountain goats! 👍
Probably the best video I've seen you make. I truly enjoyed it. Mountain goats near by, trout fishing, and chipmonks pestering you. Fun to watch. Thank you for sharing.
Great video, Jason. I do have to admit I wish the dogs were still around
It’s so much more fun catching than fishing ( doesn’t hurt having such beautiful scenery)
Amazing video! You were given some great wildlife opportunities there!
Was I ever not sure I will ever see a moment like that again
What such a GREAT video....... That awesome that the nature could hang out with you...

Another great escape for me! And thanks for turning me onto Michael’s channel. I just hit the sub button on him!
The goats and chipmunks 🐿️ are cool. Aggressive little guys 😂
So this guy lives on horses and travels the back country of the US 😮 that’s wild 👍🏼

I have spent a bit of time in the strawberry wilderness myself. Have backpacked into strawberry lake and just had a blast catching trout on fly gear

I thought it was pretty accurate.
That's the one trip probably a good thing you didn't have dogs with you around those goats.
@@davidmutschler9418. My German Shepard would have had a field day, and probably would have ended up skewered. He’s big dork. 😬 🤣😂😅
Another beautifully done video and adventure.... they just keep getting better.and.better... thank you!

Well done Jason.
Doing great for a "beginner" the river I fish has trees on both sides, let's just say I have my challenges. Really enjoy your videos.

Woke up made a coffee and enjoyed my morning watching this amazing episode. I admire you're videography skills Jason. Excited for some winter episodes.
Looks like so much fun. I wonder if there's some sort of bathroom on board? If not, how does he shower and s__t?
Be careful around those mountain goats. They can be territorial. A number of years ago, near where I live, a hiker got gored in the thigh. The goat hit the femoral artery and the hiker bled out and died on the trail.
Never hurts to hear, wild animals.....are...well , WILD.
Curious what happened to your wood stove idea? Loving the vids and the van set up.
