  • Duong's Destroy the old pig barn and Build a wooden fence behind to protect the pigs from going out
    -------------------------------------
If you are truly an animal lover, then you certainly won't want to see them imprisoned in a small, cramped space, right. Yes, and me too. To have a spacious, comfortable play space for the pigs and chickens, today I completed the wooden fence behind. A space spacious and comfortable enough for my pigs and chickens. I will buy many more pigs to release in this area, to create a Pig family. I know that when I first bought the pigs, they would not be able to adapt yet. They would feel scared when they saw me. But I will try to tame them, using sincere love to take care of them. I believe that, in just a short time, the pigs will feel safe and familiar when living here. I will have more friends to accompany me in the near future. Create more fun and value in life here. It's great, isn't it?

In my opinion, you will have what I call "free ranging" pigs. They will be healthier for being out in fresh air and sunlight. Cement walls and floors in the pig enclosure can be washed down with water containing a small amount of wood ashes , which kill bacteria and protozoa harmful to livestock. Small smokey fires, help as well . Thank you for another most interesting video . All the best in all future endeavors.

remember pigs are diggers, they love to dig for roots to eat and stuff like potatoes ect but doing so they can get out of the fence. so for the fence area from the ground and a little up use that cement and stones to make it more secure, remember pigs have lots of babies so the babies could get out via that way to. idk if you know but if you want an area clean ( for garden ect) from grass and stuff let pigs at it lol they will clean it and turn the dirt while they dig, they are awesome that way.

Building that fence was a huge job! Whewww…. Did you cut down all of those trees, move them back to your farm, cut the posts and build that fence all in one day?!! By yourself?!!! If so, thats a lot of work for one man to accomplish in a day! Another impressive accomplishment!
That part of the fence that runs along the creek won’t be in danger if water gets high during the rainy season?
How often do you feed your pigs this prepared pig food? Every day or every few days?
Is that part of the pig food you cook in the big pot corn? Is it ground up or whole kernel? Is this corn you grew or will you have to buy corn to make the pig feed?
When I was a child growing up, my older brother had pigs as an FFA project in school. He and my dad would go but a pickup load of coal to feed to them. They loved the coal. It was funny to watch them eat it, chomping and crunching the coal as they ate. I assume feeding them coal was to provide minerals for the pigs. If you have a source of coal, you might want to feed them coal occasionally.
Cleaning your pig barn… I would think you would clean the pig stalls regularly, almost daily or every 2-3 days to remove pig poop, etc. Then, like some suggested use wood ashes and lime too, as part of your disinfecting procedure in those stalls. I assume pig poop is usable as a fertilizer. You could add it to a compost pile along with plant debris to decompose together.

(1:51) You have taught me many things, Dương. Most of all that "necessary and sufficient" is important in most anything that one does. For instance that a straight log is NEEDED. But NOT straighter than needed to achieve the GOAL.
For instance that a straight log is NEEDED. But NOT straighter than needed to achieve the GOAL. A knife was sufficient to cut down the first tree. But not for the following trees.
    Thank you.😄

If you make a fire and burn the tips of the wood you're using to stack them in the ground. You actually protect the wood to get rot and keep it away from plages, that way all the wood you're using last way longer and so, you don't have to remove it in 2-3 years and go again to the forest and cut dozens of more trees. You just need to burn it till it's black. another way is cover the tip you shaped in resin or specific product. I love what you're doing, It's just the fact that if you're cutting many trees that were there before your parents were born, at least treat the wood to last decades. Greetings from Europe ;)

oh man the leeches sound awful, I'm so sorry- where I live we don't have jungles or jungle leeches- the worst we have is ticks which cause Lyme disease. Thanks for a great episode Duong!!

You are such a joy to watch. I just love how you are able to do the things with only the tolls you have made and the forest pervading you with all the necessary supplies you could ask for. Keep up the good work and your pigs will love you for their new home . God bless and stay safe. Saying hi from Binger Oklahoma USA ✋

Hello, I would like to know what species of tree you use for your constructions.
It looks like a very noble wood that is easy to work with. Un saludo desde España

I think it's a member of the Aquilaria family or Daphne family, the Vietnamese call them "Dó". The specie he used has low value on economics but are still commonly used for construction
