I'm really glad they're adding a quest tracker for each characters main story. Every time I've ever played this game I'll end up wandering around getting lost for hours. It's so much fun discovering all the little bits of dialogue and character interaction in every area, at different points in the story and from different perspectives. At least with the quest tracker I'll have a way to remember where I even was in the main quest after I get lost this time.

_"You can turn your robot into a sword user... for whatever reason..."_
And that reason is Plural Slash.

@@oldspookgaming9800 Lemme know if the junk shop glitch still works in the remastered version. It takes a while before Reds arc becomes free roaming

Theres almost no story ( atleast not a coherent one)
And this is kinda sad because the whole idea is pretty cool
And the world is a mess at guiding the player, without any information for very specific stuff in some quests (which is why i hate t260G for exemple)
And still manages to be the best jrpg ive ever played.
Exploring thought every place in this world, finding secret areas and rare events or even new characters that you could recruit is magical, i love how much replayable it is and how much flexibility we have to test different parties and builds

I agree. I love the non linear nature to it as well.
The story is there, but I feel like it only really exists to push the game forward.
It's kind of like Dark Souls in a way where the story exists and you do sometimes have specific goals, but only for the sake of having an endpoint to achieve.

FYI change the batteries out of your smoke detector every 6 months, this has been your PSA announcement

I remember seeing a trailer for this game in PS1's demo disc vol.6, I did not even liked RPGs back then but this caught my attention, managed to find a copy and play it like 8 years ago, I ended up liking it a lot but some of the mechanics were way too damn obscure and the manual expalined jackshit, had to play with guide in hand. With the remaster, the extra hints and story journal help a lot to make it way better. Still, I tend to stay away from monsters, if they just gave you a preview of what you will transform into, stats and moves it would be so much better, not a fan of checking a guide to make Riki usable.

I agree with some of these criticisms for sure.
I like games that are complex and don't have a lot of handholding, but it would also be nice to have a way to learn some of the more esoteric mechanics.
I still don't fully understand how monsters and robots work, and I've played the game quite a few times.

Did you forget to change the batteries in your smoke detector? Or is someone playing intermittent basketball in the background?
