This is my favorite video of Paul speaking. You can see his passion boiling over and how excited he is about these discoveries. Thank you, Mr. Stamets!
Wow! This is life-changing, exciting information. Outstanding. It makes me want to become a mycologist. Thank you Paul for your incredible contributions to our health and to our safety. Discoveries like this keep me from losing hope. Nature has answers. We just have to have people open minded and smart enough to put the puzzle together. It's funny that when you look at mushrooms out in nature often our first reaction is to be turned off by their appearance. Who knew they were doing so many important things? I guess you can't judge a book by its cover as they say. Just be careful not to pick the wrong ones and eat them!
I feel like i had a dream of this when i was little and i just never could catch the words, this is beautifully insane and more people need to know about this, this was in 2003 and im only just now seeing this?!
Two years later and I've just found Paul, and I thought I knew stuff. This guy deserves huuuuuge government grants, he could save the world from pollution and disease.
Paul Stamet is one of the most Genius of men doing phenomenal work in the research and study of mycelial ecosystems which is a base of our ecology here on the planet. I would love to work on his team.
I live in a very upside down world. A world that ignores the obvious genius of this video and rewards inane pop culture. When I talk to people about this, I can feel an almost palpable ignorance and disinterest that is gut wrenching. I see in their faces, "please start talking about sports".
So talk about sports, wonder aboit why pro teams and athletes don't use psychedelics, at least in training, at least microdosing. We know it is tremendous help to movement, coordination, perception, as well as it would give an edge if used in a team.
You should see him on Joe Rogan Experience #1035 @ 1385 . Lions mane but omg so much more it’s insane. Same with his Ted Med talks . To much positive stuff, it’s incredible.
Basically people don't look beyond the obvious fungi, mushrooms are part of my daily routine. Have been doing this for years,. Thank you Paul Stammets 🍄🍄🍄
Ever since I’ve shown a true interest in finding wild mushrooms and the research that comes with it, I notice them everywhere. I’ll just be walking around and it’s like the universe says “hey, over here 🙂” and some amazing mushroom is usually there 👌✌️
Not only do we need the mushroom species, but we need to preserve THEIR food source(s). And dang, we all know that the whole mycelial biosphere speaks to itseself. It's not like one thing can take off without the WHOLE thing . . . it's not too late. That's the good news. Since the whole biosphere is also contained in any tiny piece, we're all OK.
+Jared Greenwald, I agree. Maybe a petition to put him forward as the pioneer in cleaning up the environment from all poisonous toxins which are manmade or natural. He's a genius and has many valid patents......
Why can't people like you talk without filling your sentences with vulgarity? It's the sign of a low IQ, and limited vocabulary. If you want results, learn to talk and write like an adult. Then people might listen to you.
The best thing about mushrooms for me is that I learned of them in a low point in my life and seemed to give it new meaning. My name for example, is Maiko, pronounced like "Myco." Just seems like fate that I would learn about the universe with such a lovely match.

The dendrites/neural pathways in brains are also befitting of the archetype of networks intertwining, obviously. But the point of true contention is the aether elemental and it's strange phenom within the web of point to point causation/correlation principles.
Does anyone know if there has been any practical application of his work on using fungi as attractants and for controlling insect pests. I can't find any published papers . only his patents which relate mainly to social insects. I work in horticulture and obviously bioinsecticides, some of them fungi, are commonly used now but I have not heard of any that use fungi as an attractant. I would be interested to know more about it.
Cordyceps and ant are 2 great herbal tonics. I can only imagine how potent cordyceps that grows on ants lol My friends are so annoyed how I keep bring up what I'm learning from Paul lol
When I have dinner I usually put a mushroom on a little chair in front of me and I have conversations about the alien intelligence and civilization on our planet represented by mycelium the mushroom advises me about the future... sometimes I even sleep with the mushroom if the conversation is very passionate.
Someone please give me a good argument why this idea I just had is only paranoia. Hearing and seeing the mushroom that attracted the ant, infected the colony, and committed genocide, I get the eerie feeling we might be being tricked the same way. The ants love the narcotic. We love the psychedelic. The ants immediately share the mycelium. We immediately share the mushroom. The ants get played because the mushroom decides so. The humans get played because the mushroom decides so. Why do we trust this thing? I suppose there's not a concrete reason to trust anything and we are just going off our intuition. And as I subscribe to the stoned ape theory, I suppose if something gifts you life you ought to honor it. Never mind I answered my own question. I think the stoned ape theory is a pretty good singular piece of "evidence", if you believe in it, that this is a remarkably net positive symbiotic relationship. In fact the only positive things come to mind when I think about the effects mushrooms have on us and the world, so mistrust fits the definition for paranoia, even if there's a slim chance it is warranted... but what if Ive already been hijacked and thats what the mushroom wants me to think!?!?! Jk have a good life friends.
Although there are similar patterns accross every scale of the universe, you can't expect the same effect to happen on an ant and a human being, i think it's too big of a difference in size and complexity. When we take mushrooms we take like what, a few grams? That's enough for our organism to metabolize and not be dangerous, I think
The zen question is, if a tree falls in the woods and nobody is there to hear it does it make a noise? it is a word pun playing on the subjetivenes of words, and the fact that our words for noise are subjective to the being hearing the noise, therefore no the tree does not make a noise as noise is subjective
