thank you sensei. helps me tremendously the breakdown you make of the movement i have to remind me i need to slow down and have a purpose. hope you your family are doing fine. thanks again. pete
@@KendoGuide thank you for your reply sensei one of the problems i have is i'm training with a broom stick and there's little chance i could get a shinai for now as they say next revision date for the lockdown will be may 25 and i think they'll keep stretching that... but i'm a pretty good woodworker and can make myself a bokuto. i thought of this bc upon the nth view of the video i realized you said something about it helps with the oval grip to know the orientation of the blade and i think it will help me to focus better on this bc of my wrist injury. as you may think i've never had a bokuto in my hand only shinai. do you think this would help? i only have one question to ask about bokuto i'd like to ask you if you don't have a problem with that. often times i'm afraid asking too much is aganst tradition if that's the case i'm sorry. thank you for the kind words my family consists of my son and i and we are doing well.
Thanks for your comment and you're welcome, Charo Sampedro Diaz! It's my pleasure!😄 Great to hear that you liked it! PS...Please subscribe to my channel if you haven't! Thanks for your support! 🙏
8:30 this is surprisingly high quality instruction. Better than expected from a guy on the internet (no offense, sir, but it is the internet afterall). More to your point, another good option is a fishing rod because the flexibility and length really showcase the bounce effect. Thanks for the videos and perspective. I hope many people enjoy your practice.
