This is such a waste of tax payer dollars. How was this not studied by the mayor and his team prior to the rebuild? This is the kind of mistake a politician would make if they were somehow distracted by something like... an affair during a pandemic... Ohhhh... Now I get it.
Put fast trains on gardiner instead of cars taking so much space. No traffic and people can relax while they are sent to the other side. most of these cars in downtown are not even from downtown. Why should these cars be here and why do they deserve an 8 lane highway that runs next to thousands of homes not letting people sleep properly.
I agree with you, my apartment building is close to the Gardner expressway area and I hardly get any sleep because of either excessive horn honking or night time racing ☹️
If only there were other ways to get around instead of driving and adding to the traffic... 🤔 Really though, at this point, you're better off walking, biking, or taking the train. The only way to improve traffic is to have fewer cars on the road. How long will these people choose to sit in traffic before they figure out a different way to commute?
The incompetence of these politicians knows no bounds.

pity the fool who needs to drive downtown.
Take the train it’s way less stressful

You don't even need to do that, with GO Expansion, there will be frequent, fast, all-day GO Train service just north of the Gardiner.
We can only hope that in the next 7 years, public transportation becomes a better option for these drivers.

Canada is so bad..... cant even build a road correctly. You had one job.
I live down here and it’s a mess. My kids school is 6 minutes away it takes half an hour to get them home
What a colossal waste of money
0:43 The people excluded from this piece [non-drivers] would appreciate your reporters NOT facilitating distracted driving.

People have children, and people need their Amazon packages delivered, and we also need our groceries shelves to be stocked up.
7 Years to rebuilt 2 onramps? Call a Chinese construction company, it will be done in 7 weeks. Corruption is gross.
