Welcome back beautiful ladies! I’m so happy our collective drought is over.💛
Claire is a bit subdued this episode... she’s great, but let’s talk about Jamie.
I truly love Jamie being so real in the moment. He tried to save a friend, watched a friend hang, buried dead friend, comforted traumatized nephew and dealt with a stowaway all while acclimating to this new world. I see and feel Jamie’s anxiety. He doesn’t seem so self-assured. Claire doesn’t either.
And with that full day, Jamie still was able to give presence to Claire as they sexually comfort one another. The way Jamie looked over Claire’s shoulder after climax said it all. It’s like “where are we again?”
It’s like you both said, they were created for struggle like all of us right? We wish it could be easier for them but they have always been placed in a position to impact history again ... maybe this time for Bree.
    😘

It's great to see you ladies again:) Thank goodness Outlander is back! I thought this episode was a solid start & I liked how it was fairly balanced with both good & bad events throughout the episode. After Hayes, Jamie & Claire both had this vibe of Endless Possibilities ahead of them ,which I adore, & then Tragedy... I thought playing Ray Charles at the end was a brilliant choice & it worked perfectly. Anyways, that's my 2¢... Sorry I'm late to watch & comment... Have a great day

Actually, it's refreshing to focus on a men's suffering since we never see that in "real" life. With so much talk of women's suffering and women as victims....women are thought of as "allowed" to be victims (aka, the default victims) of sexual assault, while men are thought not to be victims of sexual assault so much.

I love your analysis of thestone circle connection world wide snd mans basic need to worship. Also that claire and Jamie drawn that and its not coincitental. Ialso appreciated the aspect of Hayes taking his punishment bc of a certain moral code. So many in Diana's books have this inner moral code such as Lord John giving his word and his brother upholding that for him. Bonnet is the antithesis.jamie did mention in the show was that what clare did with king for Jamie's life was why he allowed black jack to do what he did in exchange for her life. Bc of time I think they focused more on the trauma of loosing faith and the rest was lumped in it as well.
