Glasgow Cathedral - Ambient 4K video - Slow Scenes UK

Welcome to Glasgow Cathedral! Dating back to the end of the 12th century this is the oldest church in mainland Scotland and the oldest building in Glasgow. It's a Gothic style building with amazing walls and stained glass windows. It's often known as St Mungo's Cathedral after the saint it is dedicated to. The church was originally Roman Catholic before becoming part of the Church of Scotland in the 16th century. The church building became property of the state in 1587 before passing to Historic Environment Scotland (Àrainneachd Eachdraidheil Alba) who is responsible for its maintenance. Services have been held at the cathedral for centuries and today there is a music ensemble and organ player for its weekly Sunday service at 11am.
