This video is the product of well over 100 hours of filming and editing across just 9 days. It may be the most ambitious editing project I ever complete, so I hope you enjoy!
Saw you filming a ton at this competition, voiceovers, multiple takes and all 😂 The documentation is on another level, thanks for putting together such an awesome video!
First of all, awesome video. Was nice to see stuff like the custom puzzles and timers that I missed out on by being on staff. Secondly, was great to meet you. As I told you at the comp, you were great with all the people approaching you all week and that was really nice to see. Finally, tell your dad Chris says hi. Talked to him for several minutes at the hotel burger place Sunday night. What a nice guy!
@@The8BitNerd Hey, did you hear that sound? You know, something made like a "wooosh" sound? I'm not sure, but there's a chance that there was a joke that flew straight over your head. Like it went so fast! Good thing that joke missed you, or should I say you missed the joke.

YESSS I always look forward to z3 comp vlogs, especially for large competitions. There is just so much work out into these videos and the finished product is amazing.
Best cubing video i have ever watched. The editing, filming, voiceovers. The sheer dedication makes you easily the best youcuber out there. Get him to 1M subs!
So excited to watch. Already off to a great start. Ive been cubing for a few years now and live in the Pittsburgh area. It was cool to see that Nationals was in my city and I hope you enjoyed your time here!
That was my first experience at a cubing competition and I'm SO sad I missed ya bud! I was lookin too 🥴 Got a pic with Max Park though, he is such a really cool dewd! I was incredibly humbled. I hope I catch you next time, I'm always looking forward to your next videos!
Wonderful video man! It's so awesome to see you still making videos after years! I still remember the summer of 2016 or so when I'd wake up and watch your videos with that classic FatRat intro hahaha :)
You got some good shots of my home city and it was great being at the competition. I saw you a few times but you were rushing around getting shots. Great stuff.
When I freaked out over my 15/16 MBLD, I looked over and saw Z3’s camera and immediately thought to myself, “That’s ending up in his Nationals video, isn’t it?” Lol Also, don’t worry, it was a whispering freak out. 😅
7:43 I love that the US has this culture of being civilized i.e. standing in line. In 3rd world countries no one would wait their turn and just rush inside creating chaos
Alex, this video is fantastic! The quality of this video is so good and it’s evident how much work you put into it. It feels like you’re just about the only one to still make the score the video in 2023. I hope you don’t lose that motivation.
I think they got a really good time on their first attempt, so they were just messing around for the other two. It's an unofficial event, so I guess they can't really enforce the whole "no intentionally bad results" regulation, which makes things a little more entertaining.
Awsome video, You took us to every single location within the Event!.. Thanks I just subscribed to your Channel. Fantastic!!!! Love the way you included us as if we were taking part with every event... That's what I like to see more of!!
Your vlogs are my favorite ones to watch, amazing! How come you were using the Tornado V2 when you said you were going to switch to the tornado v3 or weilong v9
I really wanted to switch, but I found the MagLev in those new cubes to make them just too fast. The V2 still works well for me, so I'm sticking with it for now.
@@Z3Cubing you should buy the tornado v3 flagship edition, it doesn't have maglev but still has a magnetic core, or you get the weilong v9 special edition, it has core magnets and everything, except no maglev
Most of the static shots were filled with a DSLR (Canon T7i), and the moving shots with my phone (Pixel 6 Pro). Most modern smartphones will go a long way for basic filming in good lighting.

Wow! Well done for doing all that for a video that’s really respectable!
Well done Z3! Happy your still uploading, as you taught me when i was 8! Thank you!
Thank you, anyways that was awesome, hope it was worth it to you like it was to me
I had the honor of being in your skewb group!
I also see myself at 17:16
Genuinely one of the best cubing vlogs I’ve ever seen!!!

I really appreciate you stopping by us cube creators, starting at 2:40(dats me) it was fun to show you how wacky we can be .
This Max Park guy sure know how to solve a cube, he should definitely go pro at this
Have you actually never heard of Max Park?

Haha, that was one of the best reactions I caught on camera!
my favourite part is when Z3 said "It's cubin' time" and then cubed all over the place
Incredible video! Just a small thing I thought I’d point out, it’s meant to say 4x4 Finals* not 5x5 at 17:41 :)
Oops, thanks for pointing that out! :P
That’s so sick and awesome fam.

Excellent video! Thank you so much. I wish I could have been there, even if just for the pizza.
16:45 could you ever make a full length video collab with SoupTimmy, one for your channel, and one for his?
2:22 is so damn wholesome.
Really well put together, always fun to watch a comp that I would never be able to go to
I am still blown away at how dedicated you are to your filmmaking, Alex.
It was a pleasure seeing you again!
They need to add a Pizza eating event. ALEX WOULD CRUSH IT
i was just casually walking in the video
Damn this is some fast editing, I haven't even started editing yet

U have my name
Anyone notice how during 4x4 finals, he wrote 5x5?
That was such a great comp vlog! Great job with your solves!
Max is a really great cuber, he won almost all of them 😅
And he broke the 5x5x5 world record with 32.882
And he won worlds this year
Totally Amazing!
Thank you! Everyone there looked like they were having fun and not wanting to rip each other's livers out with a cold spoon
I love this video, The US nationals are your best comp vids
I actually met you at Nats! Great video though
It’s about time, z3cubing! I’ve been waiting for a month for this video!
That’s seriously rough! 2 seconds away from qualifying for square-1? Better luck next time!
Nats was last week
Yoooooooo
Love the 5x5 clock and GIANT skewb
woah editing was perfect and this vid is so cool good job
Then the largest competition became 2023 korean world championship with over 1000 people
Love the videos!
they had FTO? i love that event
That was a lot of pizzas😂

I stopped cubing a year ago but this video made me start cubing again!!
Is the custom stackmat timer software open source? Is there a way that I can find out how to mod my own? ty :D
