my next project ive been thinking out is to take 3 of the pockets from a alice pack and adding it above the other three and makin it a tactical tailor malice style ruck
And slaughter another Alice just for that? ;D If it's a camo pack, you could take advantage of all the surplus MOLLE 1 & 2 pouches - there are corresponding types for all the MALICE / SOF Ruck extra added pouches, like the SAW 100 & 200, Medic pouch, 3 M16 mag bandolier, Sustainment pouches, waist pack etc that would easily attach to the Medium G.I. Alice :)
wow i feel dumb glad i didnt go trough with it now bro i got like 20 large complete alice packs some of them are brand new i hoard them when i can next is to hoard at least 12 medium woodland alice bags @@larslevinberget9558
Nice one! I did the same thing, chopped an ALICE up and added it to another one, doubled the pouches and gave it a snow collar with using parts off the chopped up ALICE, check out my video for it earlier in the channel and let me know what you think (sorry for the reply just now i'm only reading this comment atm)
I would've removed the remaining center pocket and rigged a Field Training ButtPack in it's place that could be removed. The camo would match as well. Keep up the great content!
thank you! the buttpack in woodland camo is hard to locate..just missed out on the only one I've ever come across, but wouldn't it be too wide? the buttpack would take up at least 2 pouches wouldn't it?
@@Janko630 probably but it would end up being more expensive and still not look like it belongs to the pack, which is why i ended up scrapping that idea and just work with it having no lid
@@thatpackguy The woodland Alice-type butt pack is hard to find (I have one) just like the SAW pouch. The IIFS / MOLLE versions are not hard to find, with the exception of the DCU version (I have that too). How about an E-tool carrier ?
@@larslevinberget9558 unfortunately i let the woodland ALICE buttpack slip through my fingers (still beating myself up over it). As for the e-tool carrier, i have yet to come across one in woodland
Great idea! I feel your disappointment :( You could put a canteen pile liner in that pocket, like the one Eagle had for utility pouches, but adding neoprene walls and bottom would make it an isolation pouch for hot or cold drinks :) Also, please check out the surplus Norwegian issue thermos canteen. It was our take one the Arctic canteen, but it's better suited for hot contents.:)
That's an interesting idea, I wish I could experiment with it but unfortunately the seller didn't feel like selling it after all lol. Never heard of those canteens before, will check it out!
