First time I see a tuned 335D, without a huge black cloud behind 😶🌫️😄👍🏽 Nice one
These 335d's are mad cars. I have an F30 and it's getting 3.6 0-60 and sub 12secs 1/4 mile times and that's just "Stage 1" They shock plenty of cars on the road.
Nice video and car, I recommend everyone to renew the timing chain around 250.000 km, my ripped off and damaged my engine. So I paid the money to learn this lesson, but I hope anyone of you guys can avoid it by my hint. My 335d was build in 2007 and was mostly driven on long distances, after the BMW pros in Cologne H2 Motors rebuild the engine, I drove it over 5000km and it feels like a new car.
That Diesel pulls like a 🚂 Train! 🤩
A class daily bro! Everything explained as normal. Spot on fella ✊
Does it not have the pedal notch on it to tell it to drop a gear Jamie?
And how do you find it on mpg wise as a daily?
my old volvo v70 had that, pretty cool feature lol
@@Soulvex yeah my 2019 330d has it too, and I've had a lot of auto bmws in the past and they have all had it 🤔
My f10 will drop a gear or 2 even without pressing through the notch. It drops 3 or 4 if you press past the notch. (Assuming start in 7th at 50ish)
@@hello7533 it will drop depending how much your foot is on the accelerator, but the notch you push down on basically tells the car OK I'm overtaking now time to give me some power, the ecu will always tell the gearbox to select the gear with the maximum torque at that time so that's why it could feel like your dropping a few gears 😁
@@xr3xm474 it definitely does drop a few, not just feel like it. I.e it will drop 7-5 when half pressing, then down to 3rd if you really floor it. Course, all that does is spin the wheels, but hey, it sounds cool. 🤷♂️🤣
DCT is your traction control, you can press it for half tc off or hold it for 3-5 seconds for full tc off
do it 👌...got a soft spot for 335d's and 535d's,think I'll buy a touring next year.so would love to see what the engines are capable of👍
A few year’s ago they called the 335d a super car killer.
I love this car! And actually saving some money for upgrading my E91 320d to one of these. They are the perfect daily with amazing potential. Can't wait to see more videos of that car and the way it will go. Plus a car like this is closer to the masses. Not many people can afford a Porsche... :)
love your car! the best diesel content this channel!
DTC = Dynamic Traction Control, it allows a small amount of slip, hold the button down to completely disengage it
I've got a Porsche Boxster 987 with an Audi S4 2.7 bi turbo engine swap. Makes 530bhp and 540ft/lb. Fancy it on the channel?
We all wanna see e92 M3 vs this 335d !
Dark side should 100% jump on this!
Na they cant get the power out the 335D. Glen the BMW man is the king
The "dtc" if you click it it only half disables the system usually holding it down will disable all traction assist fully :) give it a go, not sure if same on all but was on my derv bmw!
It makes sense Jamie....always makes sense 😁👍
M8 sick whippet ,when you lay those stats out that’s impressive ,was not expecting that 👍👍👍👍👍
What a vid and so it made me buy my 1st 335d today, 2009, 88.000 on clock. cheers jamie on making my mind on buying it, loving it and now thinking of getting a stage1 map.
Did you map it mate? Mines a 2008 e92.89k 370bhp, 720nm. Great cars.
@@bpedleyjazzguitarist not yet fella, gonna look at it next year, get dpf and erg out and hopefully get 305bhp. Absolutely love this car so I will be doing some work on it 👍🏻
@@jontanile371 I am absolutely heartbroken. 4 years of ownership and an old driver just plowed into the side of me at a roundabout and wrote it off. 4years of subtly adding bits and making her mine. ARGH!!!! Am on the hunt for another now. Exactly same or newer. Was insured for £8k.
Damn, sorry to hear that I would would be proper annoyed! Even more so with the time spent on it building it to the beast it was. I've seen a few on AT, all around 6-8k price, @ 2006-2010 but most are over 100k in mil.
I have a stock 335Dx but the larger GT family wagon. Still quite fast and does everything i can hope for in a family bus without breaking the bank.
My next car is gona be a 2017 bmw 335d x drive m sport remap to 380-400 0-60 4.0 looks nice and 40+mpg it's a win win for me
Good choice 😉
Nice one Jamie, looks really rapid for 370bhp 👌
DTC off is like half traction off, if you hold it down for a few secs, traction goes off fully as well. Sounds real good for diesel 😜
Was allways a great engine but you’ve improved it m8 👏. Sick video 🤙
By the way Jamie if you hold the DTC button it’s switches traction completely off and you can get down in it 😂
Does this work in all 335s????
@@easydaisy120 all bmw
My daily routine: 1) start the car 2) press the DTC button for about 3 seconds 3) drive with fun
This is game changing!! Why I didn't know this... lol
So much fun in the wet with it turned off. Also, in the dry you can do epic burnouts out of junctions 😂
If you could get it to the 500hp mark without losing daily drivabelity it would be lit!!!
I don't think it will be reliable over 420 hp
Eaily done on a m57 with meth, hybrids and r90 fuel pump
@@RK1FX If you have the money, you can do it.
@@SassyOnline Its whether your willing to spend that money to make a high mileage 500bhp reliable when u already own a Porsche
@@Cali7227 That's the fun of the game bud
Xhp stage 3 gearbox map needed, you can tell if it already has it by looking at when in D o the dash it will say what gear you're in example D3,D4 etc, if not mapped with xhp it will just say D
I have 335i e93 manual sport & 330d sport both 2008, both stunning machines, loved the vid 👌keep them coming& yeh keep the vids coming my boy Jamie.
Nice daily I would take it any day off the week for a daily
This is my next project, seen they sell aftermarket digital dash and updated paddles and gear selector now, makes it look brand new inside
DCT for BMW is Dual Clutch Transmission. Basically BMWs version of DSG. It’s not a sport mode or anything like that :)
Fuel light buzzer timing - perfect!
Get M3 front control arms for improved handling
Not a diesel fan, but this is one sweet car,,,
Superb daily driver,,,
Great daily, I've had a e91 335d, that was standard, that went well enough, look a different animal again when tuned
I love your channel. Alot of cars you have on are personal favorites of mine.
M57 engine, the best diesel lump BM ever made if I'm honest. Never had the 335, but had 2 x 330ds and miss them everyday.
Possibly letting mine go as it just sits in the car port, gets used once a week if that! Probably miss it though if I do let it go !
Super nice daily Jamie but you will have to look at gearbox options going over 440ish hp. Right at the limit there with torque. Looking forward to seeing the 500hp build. That will be proper quick. Great content as always. Love the positive energy you create with all your vids. 👍👋💯
I remember racing a 330d in my omega v6, it pulled away from a dig and it took forever for me to catch up lol, i then bought a vectra c 3.0v6 diesel mapped to about 250bhp, met a 335d and.... it pulled away.. not sure the v6 isuzu engine can make 300hp but it will need hybrid turbo and intercooler etc. If I had the cash i'd drop the v6 in my Astra G. then it would rip.
Dude this is sounding NASTY 🔥 (in the good way)
I’ve not used my one for 5 years it has exactly the same bhp as urs stage 2 looking forward to getting it back on the road next week 😊
335d and the 535d are such underrated cars
With this setup, we would like to see race against e92 m3!
The whistle is deep idle mapped in. It makes the turbo last longer and sounds great
I dont know if its mapped or not, i have seen alote of turbo cars get this sound from just downpipes.
DTC is dynamic traction control bro 🙌🏽
The only way we will be able to see how quick it is, is to have passengers reactions etc to see how they get put back
almost no smoke! well done! im hoping that i can make my 320d touring similar to this one XD
DTC is the traction control, press it once for TC and hold it to disable stability control and TC.
Go to Darkside, best diesel tuners imo
