    Barrett's esophagus - Usmle Quick review
    In Barrett's esophagus, tissue in the tube connecting your mouth and stomach (esophagus) is replaced by tissue similar to the intestinal lining.
    Barrett's esophagus is most often diagnosed in people who have long-term gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) - a chronic regurgitation of acid from the stomach into the lower esophagus. Only a small percentage of people with GERD will develop Barrett's esophagus.
    Barrett's esophagus is associated with an increased risk of developing esophageal cancer. Although the risk is small, it's important to have regular checkups for precancerous cells. If precancerous cells are discovered, they can be treated to prevent esophageal cancer.

    When I get Gerd I get relieve by taking 8 ounce of water and add about a capful or less of apple cider vinegar . Works each time.

    Sir please help with this!!
    Q. Absorption of glucose from Intestinal mucosa is by:
    (a) GLUT 2 (b) Na dependent active process
    (c) GLUT 4 (d) Faciliated Diffusion
    🙏🙏 Please Reply sir

    • @doctorbhanuprakash
      @doctorbhanuprakash  3 роки тому +5

      The major route for glucose from intestinal lumen into enterocytes is Na+/glucose cotransporter (SGLT1), although glucose transporter type 2 (GLUT2) may also play a role but if question is give like this u have to select option B.

    What should do at start is measure stomach PH as reflux is down to PH levels , they give ppi which can make reflux worse , so in start eat as organic as possible and intermittent fasting, organic apple cider vinegar, HCL , ZINC Dr berg explains more advanced facts youtube

    I had ppi omeprazole 20 years and been told now at 52 barrets oesophagus so that's incorrect , watch Dr berg see the cause is most people who have ant acids ppis instead PH and not eating processed foods , as the cause is that or if smoke drink also doesn't help .
