- In an abandoned city before a tropical storm, a woman decides to stay...
Through this film, our ambition was to portray a particular ambience and feeling more than a heavy storyline. We (Patrick Harboun, Ronan Le Fur and Joaquim Montserrat) worked on it for 6 months within our studies at Supinfocom, a French CG animation school.
The soundtrack was composed by Christophe Julien.

Watching it 10 years later and it still gives me goosebumps.
I remember when I saw this in 2006 - 2007, omg, a long time ago...but it's still amazing...

16 years later and i still think about this film often.
Superb nuance in feeling. In nature, the wind, crackling electricity, waves... In the young woman, her chest rising and falling with breath, sadness in her eyes. Very sweet, even with the unhappy end.
It totally captures the concept & emotion of the end of summer(life) & onset of winter(death). Am I reading too much into it?
For those of you who don't see a story line, it only shows your shallowness. This is THE story... life, and death. It is the only thing we ALL have in common. It is obvious, also, how very much alive she felt before death, filled with human emotion. Beautifully done.

Agree... which parent would want to live on without their child... It's hard, cruel and very very heart breaking indeed... That smile on her face before the waves hit her... Just shows how a parent would feel. The child is everything for a good parent.
I watch this film at least once a week, and it moves me everytime! Thank you.
Loneliness, Despair, Relief, and finally Peace... these were the emotions I perceived as the film developed. Super! Continuez comme ça.

Despite what happens to the woman at the end, this was so delicately told. I love the expressions on the woman's face, I almost know what she's thinking... very beautiful film.

I love how this transcends animation. Its not the best graphics, but its given such an incredible feel that it really haunts you.
That was stunning. All I could do was sit and stare at my screen holding my breath. Incredibly realistic. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience of this short film.

There was sort of a sad, tranquil air the whole time...despite the storm. I felt such tenderness for the woman who smiled before falling.
