- "E8 successfully rescued"... what wonderful words. The sun shone and the winds blew strong. I am so thankful the CROW staff, Harriet, M15, E7 & E8 are all safe. Such a strong and vibrant Harriet vocalized as she flew over her babies in the nest while the rescue took place. She returned quickly to the nest tree, watching the area and E7 carefully. Soon M15 brought moss to the nest before flying to a pasture snag tree and then soared through his territory to make sure all was secure again.E8, get well and see you soon. Ozzie, continue to keep watch over this nest and family. Ya know, it seemed as if they were frantically searching for E8!! It was heart wrenching to watch but also heart wrenching to watch E8 struggle. I pray that all will be returned to normal soon, hopefully by the end of this Wednesday!
+Sheryl Guy Yes, Sheryl, we humans are torn both ways. But I did not want to see mom or dad try to help and be unable to. They will have a happy surprise when E8 returns.

My heart caught so many times as I watched how amazing the rescue was in so much wind. So much drama for Harriet in less than a year - I hope she sleeps well tonight with her beautiful E7. Thank you, Vicki.

Hi Crystal Meyers. Usually bald eagles will take a "wide berth" of humans. I wish I knew what went on her head that day, She never left and called alerts, bless her heart.
Good to know. xD Guess that is a good thing for rescues like this. Mmm, hard to know, but I wonder if she knew the humans were just there to help her baby, and that he'd eventually be returned.

+e prie quin Hello. The nest is located on the Dick Pritchett Real Estate property at 6601 Bayshore Rd, 2.5 miles west from I-75.
They are probably searching for their missing child!
DatsNotMyGnome, all turned out well. E8 was returned to the nest three days later.
I’m watching and not knowing what’s going on. Did Eaglet fall off nest? I saw two eaglet getting fed!
I couldn’t see what Rescuer did..... was there a video before this?
Cr Kwon, E8's leg got entangled with monofilament/fishing line that was in the nest most likely brought in with a fish delivery. E8 was rescued by CROW for removal of the line and observation at their rehab facility. E18 was returned to the nest approximately 48 hours later.
I wasn't here for last season what happened to the baby eaglet?? You don't say in your video. Why did they have 2 come and get it and was it returned ok??? Harriet was beside herself with worry :-(
Where was M 15 during all this?? I was surprised she let them get so close without interfering. .
Hi Diana Woodrow. E8's leg was entangled in mono-filament line. Because this was a man-made problem, FWC gave CROW the okay to take E8 from the nest and remove the line and get E8 healthy again to return to his parents. E8 was returned to the nest just a few days later. Hope that helps.
I am sure M15 was watching not too far away during the rescue and return.
Watching a few years on, are these M15 first babes?
hkeeler, yes, E7 & E8 were M15's first two eaglets with Harriet.
