    Hello everyone. Now that E9 has dispersed from the area, I will not be going to the nest everyday. I have a Wskrsnwings Facebook page and I always communicate when I will be at the nest. The page also has photos correlating to each video I do. You do not need a Facebook account to view everything contained on this page. If you want to comment, you have to have a Facebook account. The link to my Wskrsnwings Facebook page is: m.facebook.com/wskrsnwings/

    A lot of things going on in the pasture that the cams can't see. Thanks Vicki, for showing them to us. Harriet and M having a conversation in the nest tree, then off they went. The beautiful coyote, that you talked away from the highway, ("oh honey, you're going the wrong way"), safely into the bushes. E9 on our minds all the time. Vicki's sweet voice. Thanks again, Vicki.

    Thank you so much Vicki for continuing to show us what's happening around the nest tree area. There sure was a lot to see today!! The coyote was beautiful. We used to see them run from the woods across our yard & back to the woods all the time. Now this area has been built up so much there is no wildlife left. It's such a shame that they built all along this hwy. by where I live. Most of it was woods. And the places they cleared to put buildings was totally useless!! No new stores...they just moved some of the stores further down the road towards the west. Between our house & the main road is a small woods & a retention pond. Most of that got cleared out by the hurricane last summer. So now even the little racoon have hardly anywhere to go. I wish they would leave some of these woods alone for our precious wildlife!! Anyway, thank you so much for continuing to share your awesome videos!! It was great to see Harriet & M15 in the nest tree together!! And it's always great to hear your loving voice. Take care!! I will be excited to see any video you share with us!! I love you E9 & miss you!! Hugs & love to you as well Vicki. ❤😀❤

    Thanks Vickie for letting us visit M15 and H. We moved here to South Carolina Low Country 3 years ago after living in California for 40 years. Everybody was complaining about the bugs. My comment: The airl is health enough for the bugs it is probably health for us, too. California does not have bumble bees or many bugs!! Too much pollution!

    Vicki when I saw that you had posted a video I got so excited I thought that for a minute E9 had come home. Gosh I did not realize how you can get attached to a fellow creature, but he/she is just so darn cute. I do so love him and I really miss him, which is silly really as I have so many other people and fur friends in my life here in Australia. I just find myself in my quiet moments crying my eyes out. I join with all my fellow Bald Eagle lovers and say 'Thanks ever so much' for your lovely videos. God Bless.

    Vicki Thank You so much for your video of Harriet and M. I love seeing them so nestorations and simply having alone time. Wow, a lot going on in the pasture. I was scared for the coyote...I could sense your concern. I never saw a blue jay up close....amazing pattern of blue feathers. I did not realize that the crib rails went down so much from the "measuring stick"....wow...as a newbie I look forward to watching them add to the nest. I miss you E9. I know in my heart he is doing great. Have a blessed day Vicki

    • @wskrsnwings
      @wskrsnwings  7 років тому

      michele deforge, you are welcome. Yes, the crib rails get "tromped down" by the increased activity of the eaglets as they wingersize and hop on the crib rails. The adults rebuild the crib rails each year usually getting serious about it in the fall. I will be there to record them bringing the new sticks and grasses.

    Nice Coyote 'camera capture' in the early morning light! Hopefully he/she made it back to the brush. Beautiful property that seems well suited for wildlife! Great photography today and thought of E9 when you zoomed in on the nest tree. Even the old Slash Pines looked majestic. They serve well as training ground for the eagles as they learn to branch. I stopped for two squirrels on the back-roads as we were travelling to church Sunday. They can never make up their minds which way they want to go. They hesitate right in the middle and dance back and forward until they suddenly sprint for one side or the other. They're funny little creatures.
    .... You have a great camera for getting nice sharp video. Those bluejays were stunning and the eyes on that coyote were... well he or she was gorgeous. Might have been the same one you caught on video at Yonder Pond.

      Imturmenne, yes, those squirrels do go back and forth. I have to just stop my car too. Thank you, it is a very good little camcorder. The coyote in the pasture appeared younger than the one at yonder pond, but this one sure looked like he wanted to cross the road to yonder pond. I am glad he did not.

    Its been Wonderful following this eagle family from your point of view, you express and sound like a Wonderful n Lovely Person, Thanks very much for you videos, they have been an insight I wouldn't have witnessed not for you.. a Beautiful coyote there, I didn't think you got those in Florida, got a bit anxious when he kept licking his chops though I must say, I think you did too.. lol.. Have a Lovely Summer and look forward to seeing the family return and resume the cycle in the Autumn..

      openedmieyez, The coyote was 'anxious' and that is why he was 'licking his chops'. This is a behavior of dogs also when they are uneasy, anxious about their situation or the place they might be. Hope that helps. And thank you for your kind words. :)

      Frederick Bowman, I miss each one when they leave but I am so happy they survived to start their own life as a young eagle. Bald eagles have one clutch a year. Harriet usually lays her eggs in November.

    I Love your videos.
    I hope that beautiful coyote stays safe, and stays away from the eagles, rabbits, and that beautiful cat (and all others). They are bad here is southern Ohio, attacking small animals, even a border collie near me.

      RockChickPurrs, sounds like you have a lot of coyotes. Hoping the owners are going out with their pets to prevent further attacks.

    Poor Coyote he must have caught a whiff of something across the road and was hungry enough to chance going after it. Glad you were able to ward him off back to safety. Hope he finds a rabbit to tide him over and he doesn't try to cross the road again. So dangerous. Thanks for the video!

    When I ask if you saw what I was seeing a minute ago I was talking about live feed not this video. I had to talk to you and they don't allow commenting on their page so I found the most recent video of yours. I tried to get on the live feed page and comment but you can't. It stops. But I was referring to yesterday morning after they restored their live feed and right before eggbert. Do you know there that huge cluster of trees is and which direction. Is it same direction e9 flew in the other day. It's so sweet how concerned you were about the Fox. You seem just like me. I love all animals and I watch alot of animal cameras from explore. Thank you dear for your wonderful videos.

    Hi Vicki! Thank you for this sweet video. It's weird to watch these videos and not see E9 in them but it's still great to hear your soothing voice. Vicki I read somewhere that after the parents raise their young eaglets that the male and female separate for months and then fly back to the nest to meet again when it's time to mate...is this true?

    • @wskrsnwings
      @wskrsnwings  7 років тому

      Nancy H, you are welcome. Harriet and M15, as well as other SW FL mated pairs, do not migrate. They remain in the area year round. H and M may perch different places where we cannot see them, but they are never too far away from each other or their territory.

    Do you see what I'm seeing this morning. This is another clustered tree area. You know the camera operator went to thus area yesterday after the camera was restored yesterday morning. They had zoomed in a clustered tree area and zoomed in on the middle of a tree and I swear to you it was E9 in that tree. Not mom or dad but E9. Now I'm seeing mom and dad in the clustered three area and I'm thinking they know just where he is and are helping him. I'm telling you I bet anything. How about you. That's why I started thinking that he isn't very far away maybe after all. What direction do you think thus is from nest tree and could it still be in Southwest fla. Preferably in Tampa area. Isn't that where you are and the nest tree. OK people who else is seeing what I'm seeing. I didn't even know that their cameras reached that far and they're not saying a word about it. What say you.

    • @wskrsnwings
      @wskrsnwings  7 років тому

      Hi Carol Roman, the area the cam is zooming to is yonder pond. Yonder pond is just across the road from the nest tree to the south. This nest is in North Fort Myers; Tampa is about 125 miles north. E9 has not been sighted by any of the ground crew in the yonder pond area yesterday or any day since the last sighting May 2. E9 could be in Northern FL in the panhandle area or as far north as Chesapeake Bay. This is what FWC says about eagle migration: "Movements: Most of Florida's breeding bald eagles, especially those nesting in the extreme southern peninsula, remain in the state year-round, but most subadults, or birds not quite fully grown, and non-breeding adults migrate out of Florida (Stevenson and Anderson 1994, Curnutt 1996, Mojica 2006). Eagles migrate northward between April and August and return southward from late July through late December. Juveniles migrate northward later than older subadults (Broley 1947, Wood and Collopy 1995, Mojica 2006). Most juveniles disperse at about 128 days of age and spend their first summer as far north as Newfoundland, with peak numbers summering around Chesapeake Bay and the coastal plain of North Carolina (Broley 1947, Millsap et al. 2004, Mojica 2006). Florida's bald eagles use three migration flyways - the Atlantic coast, Appalachian Mountains, and the Mississippi River valley - with equal frequency, and they use stopover sites for resting or foraging (Mojica 2006). Eagles also exhibit nomadic wandering, mostly by subadults. Northern-breeding alascanus bald eagles winter in Florida at least occasionally (Stevenson and Anderson 1994)."

      I have only seen one. But I hear the pack quite often at night.
      They make a very eerie sound, very much like a siren, in fact, if a police/fire siren sounds, they answer it. When they are really close I hear the individual "yips" too.
      The area I live in was at one time surrounded by heavy woods, but man has built on much of their habitat, sadly. We still have a lot of woods around us so I hear them making their rounds a lot.
