Hi guys! Here I'm showing you some tips, tricks and techniques to create the "classic" hardstyle kick. Unfortunately, I can't explain you everything as it took me about 60 Hours of mere working time, to get the kick right. Creating kicks is a creative process without limits. If you find a vocoder nice on the punch, do it. There are no real laws or rules that apply. Ask me, if you want to know something :)

I really recognize the "silly" stuff that "doesn't necessarily make sence", i find myself doing such things all the time, it's called experimenting, and I think it's key in the process of learning to make your own (kick) sound.
Try and fail, and try to understand why certain things work, and centrain things don't.

Hello! Thanks for the tutorial. I have one question though. What's happening on the high tok part at 6:54? I know that in the sub tok there's white noite which you pitched a little and then there's a snare but what's going on on the high tok? Because for me it doesn't look like the distorted 909. Thanks ;)
uff, I don't even remember what sample I used.. actually you can use any noisy sound to create toks. Currently I simply use a snare and pitch it very high (like +20) and use only the first 2-5ms of it as a tok. This way I get quite nice results with little work.
I guess the very high tok is just bitcrushed a bit tho, but I just did that to give it some sort of extra-crunch.

@@Hardsonix okay, awesome video btw bro, this will be the first time i make a euphoric hardstyle kick thanks to you, but i got a few questions. where does the reverb come from at 6:15 because i never saw you adding reverb into it. ? btw my progress is at 11:15 now. i am busy with the punch. i didnt pitch my tok, i find it on 0 transpose more ''tokky''
@@bvdproductions3875 In fact, you simply need some short tone.. thats it. Playing around til you find it nice is the way :) The reverb might be on the group (and if there's none) its just my microphone receiving noise from my headphones and just playing it back in again :D I have record in a strange way, to get the best sound :D
any way to BUY or get a good Audition version ?
i cba paying 30 Euro each month just for pitching kicks really.. how u guys doing it?
I guess that it is not possible anymore. You can only subscribe to adobes creative cloud. The version I am using is an older version. You might find them on ebay, sold as a full version (without updates of course, which you won't need anyways). An other way might be using the demo and re-installing it whenever it expires, but I am not sure if that works (didn't try).
edit: I personally use audition simply because I have an old version and I like using it. There are many different ways to pitch kicks, it's no must to use Audition. I've heard Kontakt does a good job as well.
i see, can u load kicks directly in kontakt or is it some kind of special vst in it?
@@Blackain66 I recommend you joining the 'Code Black' Group on Facebook. They'll surely know better than I do, as I really only pitch using Audition. But maybe someone around these comments also knows better. I'll let you know for sure, when I know something about it :)
