Now that's the coolest tractor truck thingy I've seen in years. Love the way it hoovers up every clipping. German efficiency at its best. Unlike here in the UK they use a clapped out machine with broken guards flinging mess everywhere. Then they just leave it all over the place. Love the 4 rig convoy all working together.
I know right! They way how they all work together so nicely in sync is just amazing. FYI, these machines aren’t German. They’re modified versions of a Dutch self-driving sod injector ‘Vredo vt’.
ln New Orleans all the work that this equipment does to beautify the roadways is simply ignored and no one in our political structure feels responsible enough to take it on. We are weed and blight central.
Nice but why the vacuum? Better for the grassy areas to cut/mulch it instead of wasting money transporting clippings. If they'e going to become compost maybe but for what appears to be rural road ditches this is a waste.
+ShastaPacificRoad I was thinking the same thing, but then as i watched, they take everything, so the must make mulch and re sell it to add revenue to the department, smart if they do, provide low cost product from cleaning up,
+William Glaser Does makes sense if you look at it that way. Of course if they hadn't bought such high-tech equipment in the first place...... then they wouldn't need to collect and sell off the clippings...LOL! I DO like the versatility of the mowers though.
+ShastaPacificRoad I also think that maybe in some areas they would want to keep it neat, with no clippings, out in the country when they cut the dirt and gravel roads all of the clippings litter the road, in the bigger City maybe that's why they use a vacuum. Now i do wonder if they are 4x4 and will they ship me a used one to Colorado, I would use one of them a lot. The look a lot better then the Oshkosh they have, the motor on the Oshkosh sit above the wheels, on these they are between the wheels allowing for many different things.
+William Glaser The low center of gravity looks good but to tie up $$ in power units... Admittedly they can swap out modules but I've priced a few of their modular units and they cost nearly as much as the base power unit...! Where I live in Indiana(and back where I came from in NW Iowa) the mowing is by a batwing or underbody mower in the country with most counties having a dedicated mower for ditches...all mounted on industrial or farm tractors. I can see the fancy-schmancy mowing in town tho except if they take all the clipping for mulch then they also take the weeds too - NOT what I'd want for mulch around seedlings or young tree or possibly garden plants. The woodchipper... just look at Asplundh™ or Davey Tree Experts™(for example) for a better way to deal with tree-trimming.
so you can spend some money on machines that do what they are designed to do very well and efficiently or you can spend a boat load of money on one machine that does everything in an awkward inefficient way...

This thing is funny looking, but MAN, do we need one in CT. Balance the budget? Cut spending? GET THESE THINGS!!!!
WE NEED THIS IN AMERICA
Wow! Video without dislikes!
Ich sage, dass der Traktor der Zukunft
This is better then my wife, it does alot more then what she can do.
All in one lawnmower !!!
that ssound is amazing :) very good video
Ich liebe Kommunal...
nice BUT who has the money for all this machinery ??
Fantastic! Much better than Unimog.
Is this good enough for my lawn, or I should get something bigger?
whats the weight on these awesome truck/tractor things???
Dont get me wrong this is a great machine but all you've done ins make a big tractor/ fast trac ?
sehe ich genauso!...das mit dem Grundeinkommen...;-)...
nicht schlecht nur geil
we have this in the netherlands! :D
@Josje24
Export to Sweden now! Amazing machine! :)
Warum Wolfenbüttler Kennzeichen? :P
This is absurdly overkill for a lawnmower !!!
ln New Orleans all the work that this equipment does to beautify the roadways is simply ignored and no one in our political structure feels responsible enough to take it on. We are weed and blight central.
good work
I need this as my personal vehicle :)
We need its in Poland !
you would need a lot of work in the uk to make this viable
How fast will these units run on the highways
50Miles per hour
simplifying life on extra mile
all it needs now is a scoop on the front for picking up people who riot over Soylent Green
you need a lot o money for this machines and diesel , everything is very expensive
Why collect the grass?
ok ok ok... wait!!!!.... why this Vredo hs model and all this accessories are not in farming simulator 2013 as a Mod????
yeah or fs 17
The tires are soo wide
i cannot help thinking of all the employment reduced by these machines
"Too big and to noisy."

Why don't we have these trucks in France in order to maintain in good shape our motorways, hiways and smaller roads, particularly in the mountains?
The toys are amazing but lets be realistic they must waste a ton of gas/diesel/fuel whatever it may be
Amazing huge machines
we need translations too!
we need it in the uk

Waste of power with just that 2m wide header. A fully fitted Unimog has 4 headers, each of 1.5-2m and just one operator.
Na pewno nie w Polsce ;)
why the hell do they spend so much time at mowing grass that isn't long?
How much
+Doris Manuel If you have to ask, you can't afford it.
SERIOUS kit :D
This is a simulation game just waiting to happen. Someone show this to Scs Software.
@2413scottmarley2 we HAVE it!
@2413scottmarley2 no we dont
When a single "Bat-wing" mower can do the job of 4 of these with a fraction of the maintaince, these machines are cool yet pointless.
in romania too :D
made in holland
It's pretty ugly but cool
how the hell am i watching this...
We don't need this in Germany ...unwirtschaftlich !!!
