He had the greatest timing ever in everything he did. From bodybuilding and real estate to acting and politics he seemed to get in on the ground floor for everything
Embarrassed to say I was surprised by this interview...what a clear headed, focused, compassionate, and all around awesomely smart guy. Thanks for this, Tim!
I noticed his accent almost completely disappeared, when he said, "CONFIDENCE comes from your VISION." I was born in Germany, Arnold from Austria, of course. both my parents were German. I have always loved Arnold, truly a tour de force of confidence, and Master of Success techniques. I will always remember his first movie, at the theatre, "Pumping Iron."
Arnold sort of embodies the lesson that if you way overshoot every opportunity you're given with some gross over confidence and self assurance you will almost always stand out and likely rise to the top but in order to stay there and not be deemed cocky and arrogant you've got to have some humility and charm. He really owes his many various successes to a mixture of the two. He at least can admit in order to get where he is today he's had to step on a lot of toes and slam many doors in many faces but that's often life...
1:04:15-1:09:48 That is very helpful as I am an over thinker. I am currently experiencing what Arnold had experienced. My mind is constantly thinking about all of my problems(my goals) as one big problem. And I can't really focus on one task at a time.
This is so awesome and so inspiring!! I'm a teacher and will for certain share some of these mental tools with my students so they can fight smart for their dreams! Thank you so much Tim and Arnold ❤
When I knew Arnold briefly in early seventies Venice it was difficult to see how he was going to get past no money and little english. The era was made for him. He had the will to go on from his sense of success at bodybuilding. A unique being.
He went to Santa Monica college and bought an apartment building. Had a great acting teacher. He was loved by his body builder friends. Muscle Magazines made him an icon.
@@fender1000100 I know what I experienced on Venice Beach and the Firehouse where we all ate breakfast. I am not a massive egg white eater, and sometimes the Rose cafe. Since your ego is invested for some bizarre reason, in 1972 Arnie did not have the money to buy a building and collect rent .The numbers do not support your misinformed inflated sense of self. Your arrogance thinking you know something unique is sad, whatever you are trying to prove. Arnold changed the face of bodybuilding but in early seventies it did not pay the rent. 1975 the public began to notice and not think it was freaky and gay. Arnold had true charisma, will power and discipline , great skin and facial features. His charm far outweighed what some saw as egotistic. Reflected glory is a false coin.
This was fantastic! I worked with him at Muhammad Ali's Fight Night in Phoenix...and I DEFINITELY didn't see this side of him...I'm going to facebook this for all my peeps to listen to...and I've already given the link to my co-workers. Very inspiring! I think it was so interesting because it was questions i've never heard anyone ask him about...and he seemed so receptive...and sounded like he enjoyed reminiscing.
Thanx for the interview with the legend! Hate to be the one bitching, but.. video camera was not an option? You can always extract the sound for podcast later.
Tim mentions that many of these may be done over the phone or computer, and not always in an environment lending itself well to a camera. There's also the concept, "What would this look like if it were easy." Extraction might not be difficult, but it's easier to post this 15 places than to extract and then format / edit and then post.
Especially regarding the brick laying affair, the fitting term is 'Schlitzohr' sort of a scoundrel but hey you somehow have to build a firm base when you want to get somewhere.🤘
man..... how great did Arnold look in that Conan the Barbarian movie? Then after that, it wasn't so much about muscles but just action movies. He may not be a great actor, but he was a memorable one.
I have come across this interview at time where boris johnson IS prime minister. Wow thats crazy must be a term for that. Extremely inspirational. I have sincerity in benefits i accessed from this.
Great interview, but Franco did not step into a hole or divot on the ground to injure his leg at the Strong man competition. The track was smooth as a baby's bottom. He injured himself because he "started to run" which you can't do with that much weight on you. It multiples a thousand times, so a 200 refrigerator suddenly becomes 2,000 lbs. Franco himself admitted that in an interview while he was lying in the stretcher.
Have you ever had any Onnit supplements tested by an independent laboratory? Samples you bought yourself, retail? I think that would make a great post in light of the recent adulteration scandal affecting many large retailers and manufacturers.
About min 1:02:00 he speaks of "Freedom To Choose" by Milton Friedman saying that the private sector was the answer but then slowly goes right back to government power. min 1:11:00
Tim, I'm a big fan of the uncensored extended celebrity interview (a la Howard Stern as an interviewer for example), and this ranks as one of the best interviews. You've definitely given Stern a run for his money! I'm very impressed Tim keep inspiring!!
Dont know why this keeps freezing around the 23 minute mark... my internet is good and all other youtube videos work well right now... bummer, was hoping to hear this podcast
private sector is not always the solution like arnold says , it depends on the country , if you look from american perspective their government doesn't do much , in other countries is different and private companies are more focused on profit , its good to have balance between private and government , control and regulation is necessary .
the problem was california is broke/broken. 5 million people moved out the past decade mostly to texas but also the surrounding states. taxes out of control, regulations on business out of control. Over 9000 companies have left in the past 5 years. So he did a great job but the voting system there will allow people to always vote themselves more "free stuff" and "higher taxes" for someone else. Love the FOCUS/VISION he is talking about. hahaha wow "you are fucking fat." wow. tough. LOVE the real estate information. THATS great ambition. direct mail business/ad business/construction business. he is a true immigrant hustle. He should have done 3 more conans lol.

One of Arnold's best interviews. I love hearing about his methods for success. Thank you Tim F.

I love the way he says after school programs. Just hearing him say that makes me want to participate in after school programs.
I really appreciate what Arnold Schwarzenegger has done and is aspiring to do.

Jealousy came with his success. His cockiness was an act.
New appreciation for Arnold. This was very inspirational. Makes me want to go out and be successful, help, and give back. Thanks!
This is gold , this is real gold.
Thank you Tim for this and Arnold congratz for the effort.

Shows what you know. Arnold has been a millionaire since 1972. He didnt get rich from BODYBUILDING. He got rich from REAL ESTATE. In the early 1970s
PROJECT DX indeed people think he got wealthy from films little do they know Arnold was successful in business prior.
