He was soooo lucky to survive a crash like that. Plus he didn't even seem to be too bothered about it on the hospital bed. What a legend
To be fair, in that circuit, riding at that speed seems oddly relaxing and not as fast as it really is. Like video said, it's like floating on air. It feels nice, but is very deceptive, becasue once you float, there's no recovery from anything going wrong. Those cars also have full cages, proper harnesses and other safety equipment. Sure you can still get hurt and die, but those cars are much safer than anything on roads today, not only that, but have downforce and slick tires. Those rides seem to be much safer than Bugatti Chiron, despite being slower.
@@MJ-uk6lu in the S14 that crashed there wasnt roll cage in it in was original cage that came with the car that dosent protect much so he is so lucky to be alive i have seen worst only in speeds of 120km/h

that Silvia, at 8:00 goes too far too the right exiting the bowl and wrecks, notice every other car tucks after exit ( turns more to the left than it should, using the straight to build up pace again )

Well the car wasn't designed to travel over 200mph from factory, then if you have to reach the top speed like in here you need to have a low downforce to reduce air friction, and if you look, the car starts to fly when it's rotated at 90 degrees, which is not the way a car is supposed to run. ;) This happens also with lemans cars or other race cars.

It's the Speed difference of both cars. She was maybe doing 120 km/h and he was nearly three times as fast. When you look in the mirror too check if someone is comming past you it looks like the other car is far away. But he is there in a blink of an eye! you just can't imagen the speed off the car behind.
I'am from Germany, it's a known problem. I cut the lane of a other driver when i was going 180 km/h! As well as someone cut me.
