"NASCAR's pre-race inspection is incredibly strict." *"If it doesn't fit the template, bend it until it does. Demonstrated in true American fashion"* As an American, that hit home haha.
Or you run a brand new body style they don't have the template for, and when they go out to the parking lot they find one, trace it's profile and find it matches perfectly. Which of course it does because that was your car too and neither are actually correct to the body you're running. Cause you're Smokey Yunick and you just think of shit like that.
10:10 oh my God, Dale Earnhardt raced Suzuka with Keichi Tsuchiya. Wow I just cried a little, especially when Dale pulled in for pit stop. Wow. So awesome
We didn't deserve Best Motoring International... they always had something for everyone. Legends of the time all together in these video's battling it out.
Oh juicy info! What happened? And lets not forget Hot Version International restart. They released Vol.111-116 + 127-129....than they disappeared again.
Tsuchiya & Earnhardt. Two of my favorite drivers in one place. Suuuuuper dope. I just wish Tsuchiya had better equipment & resources for this race so he could’ve battled up front with the American legends. I wish I was there!
All three series in NASCAR race on several road courses throughout the year, if you weren't aware already. But it would be pretty cool if they came back to Japan, but I highly doubt the demand is there.
Such an incredible race!! Not only that, but what a beautiful STP Ford Thunderbird Tsuchiya used! The Drift King honoring another Kings paint scheme, truly a match made in heaven. Such a shame it had its internal flaws and the crash during practice. I bet if the car was internally up to spec, he would have EASILY made a top 10 finish. Maybe even won... haha now THAT would have been legendary. In the end, I'm glad he had a fun time in the race. Very sad this was such a niche event that only had 3 proper runs, Nascar has alot of ambition that I feel we will mever see again. Exhibition races outside of the USA are a fantastic idea, and this right here was an absolute blessing to watch. Well done Tsuchiya, and his Pit Crew who gave it their all. 💙❤💙
I smiled this entire video. It’s great, no matter the difference in culture and physique, you can always bond over something like motor sports. Also, DAMN, those anti roll bars are STIFF! ! !
this is so awesome to see i was a huge fan on Earnhardt growing up and ive been a huge tsuchiya fan for the longest ...really wish he could have competed with a good car an team
aznnubbyboy there was an old show where drivers from two different sports switched cars and drove it around the track for the day trying to beat the other drivers time. It was on the Speed Channel I believe
@@Epok97 that sounds pretty cool. with all the different disciplines out there I think it's worth it to get a taste of as much types of racing as you can.
I hoped that they would use the full Suzuka course, but they're using a shortened version that goes back to the front straight right after the esses. It's really cool seeing Tsuchiya-san heel-toeing a NASCAR!

@OCD Stig how do you know?
Very bizarre but crazily fun watching Nascar racing on Suzuka, wish they still do things like this and keep it raw.
土屋圭市はやっぱすげぇわ
Unbelievable. 15th out of 28 for a rookie all-Japan team? That's a fantastic achievement.
They had a home advantage though
he would have been like 4th or 5th if he didnt get pit maneuvered right there before the end lol. he got tipped and spun out after the last corner.

The intimidator and DK, 2 monsters and legends of auto racing
i am so stoked to learn they raced eachother
That was a cool bit of racing history I never knew until tonight
Tsuchiya's driving style is so agressive i love it
it's nice to see a NASCAR car turning left & right instead of turning left only in a giant oval.
Forza 4 nascar cars would dominate career mode

Nakaya san deserves so much praise as well, one of the most underrated Japanese drivers. Hope he gets well soon.
Did he get well?
6:50 - Haaa, the Japanese pit crew aren't heavy enough to jack the car up!
11:40 - Dale Jallett

Huge ammounts of torque and no downforce. Perfect recipe for close racing.
I really enjoyed watching this... Not to mention it actually had subtitles!
Surprising how fast those Nascar boys are around Suzuka, especially wheb yiu realise that probably none of them had ever driven there before!
RIP Dale Earnhardt 🙏
leave the 3 thumbs up Dale RIP The Intimidator.

can't believe Tsuchiya raced with Dale, 2 legends.

So many legends !!!!!! This is nice, old nascar was better
Love the hapanese light cigerettes and watch as two Americans go to work on that engine, so cool to see the dk in a nascar
Never did I think DK and Dale would be racing on the same circuit. Let alone there being a NASCAR race in japan.

If the nascar of Keiichi had v-tec he had easily won this one.

Heel and toe? Those things have straight cut gears. Crash and radio banter, perfect.

The only sport in NASCAR is actually at the pits stops when the pitcrew are working
