    Wow. I'm amazed. About to do a go back on that engine today. I have learned quite a bit from you. Love the circle and arrows 😍

    Thank you!!! My van gave me the same code. I was going to just blindly change them all. Thank you.

    You don't need anti-seize on chrome plated plug threads and you only need to moisten the top of the plugs with dielectric grease.

      You are correct that many manufacturers suggest not using anti-seize. In fact NGK spark plugs have trivalent plating which acts much like anti-seize. However, the repair manual states, "apply a thin coat of anti-seize compound to the spark plug threads."

    Custom spark plugs are RE14PLP5
    When it is not available, what is the alternative?
    Thank you

    How do you know how much torque you're giving it?

    • @InsaneOil
      @InsaneOil  4 місяці тому

      You will need a torque wrench. www.amazon.com/LEXIVON-8-Inch-Torque-13-6-108-5-LX-182/dp/B07M68G49R/

    A proper replacement would be to remove the wiper cowl and see the plugs easier. You're welcome.

      Good tip. I prefer not to remove more than necessary...especially on older vehicles.

      @@InsaneOil understandable...it's not hard or a pain, nothing ever breaks. May have to replace a washer hose.

      I'm pretty good at taking apart. It's replacing the things I broke doing. Thank God for zip ties and pull a part. Good place to practice.
