Former OTR trucker here. I found this game way too easy. Though it is quite realistic, without all the tire thumping, pre / post-trip inspecting, strapping loads, I can think of a few improvements that would really challenge those who have never done it for real. Currently at Level 73 and over $45M in the company coffers with over 100 trucks, trailers and drivers. I'm actually trying to bankrupt the company totaling the most expensive truck and trailer I can buy every day and selling at a loss. Can't do it because the company pulls $2M a week. 🤣
I really wished that there could be a hard mode in ATS already instead of taking up so much time putting in mods
It’s literally in the steam work shop. You press a button and it’s there I don’t get the struggle here
I was surprised to see that the driver had the standard $1,500 amount in his account prior to making his first $70 job. The title of the video is a bit misleading.
not to mention he had the mod "Unlock Everything" in the mods list..... lmfao. very misleading.

If you claim that you start a trucking career, in the game, with $0 but in fact the game gives you, by default, $1500; please don't name the title of your video "I started a trucking company with $0 & a truck". The title is misleading. That's all.

This is a great simulator. The way traffic behaves and the other companies and stuff is cool
that's done by mods usually vanilla game traffic is never that bad

@@alectw It's interesting to see the progress of playing like this, not many players like doing these super hard challenges cuz they are tedious and require almost full attention to play if you want to get an actual truck and so on.
That’s crazy, I am a Denver native and where you are at, 3:12 seconds in the construction is a real thing it’s in a place called globeville. It’s pretty cool to see how accurate the game really is.
Mercedes trucks mechanic here and I was SO confused when I saw the frightliner dashboard, took me a moment to remember frightliner is part of Daimler group and that's why they use the same software xD
The "should have got fuel" part reminded me of the first ETS2 delivery I did when I got free of the tutorial. I was in an electric truck and I ran out of power at the turn into the docks.

@@e.slt_4521 hell nah, I have that mod and it's nothing like this, never this kind of HEAVY traffic. Not only that AI acts so robotic, if there's only a single for traffic speed, every single AI vehicle travels at that perfect speed or lower, just making a line of robots moving together, never passing. I use DB creations for traffic in ETS2 and it's so much better, but not out for my version of ats
@@juhno7659 I've not played ATS much yet, but I didn't experience any major problems. I assumed it was as good as the ETS2 one.
@@juhno7659 In ETS2 there's also a mod called Brutal Traffic. Idk if it's avaible for ATS too but you could look for that.
you can click the filter drop down then press price per distance so you get paid the most for the distance and not the overall job

As I am a Swift Driver I can tell you straight up that we are short on drivers.
Denver "Rush Hour" should be called Denver "Slow 4 Hours"! That I70 and I25 area used to be called "The Mousetrap"
we all start with 0 money and no truck. but if you now how to play the game without using mods by level 11 ,you will have your first truck .and by level 20 you will have all the skill points . plus if you use your head you can have another driver driving your truck whilst you still do quick jobs ,

I tried what you did in this video and im already level 3 , 1927 xp and driven 880 miles (edit: and discovered 8 cities in two states all together
I did this and it feels great starting from the bottom and working my way up

What's the point? You do start with next to $0 every time. And quick jobs give you much more exp since you can choose the best mission instead of available in town. So basically you don't need money in this game. It piles up.

Could I ask what truck was that first truck? Was it a mod or a truck in game?
That blue truck at the beginning? That was a Freightliner Cascadia. And it is standard in game truck. The gray one that the camera flipped to momentarily was a mod truck of some kind. Looked like either an older W900 or maybe a Pete 379. The orange truck that he finished with was a standard in game truck as well. It was the International Lonestar
