In the early 50s all semis were around 150-210 hp they would literally crawl over the mountains. Most to all diesels then were naturally aspirated. Cummins was one of their first, with their nhrs Cummins 743 ci supercharged diesel. They were better but still only made 275-300 hp at the max.
the thing is, you can still witness those 200 hp(s) down the streets of South East Asia, with 310 hp being the biggest and 510 hp being a luxury... they crawl at 60 kph ( somewhere around 37mph) down the highway and toll road and go even much slower at 35-40 kph (21-24mph) down the town main-way
reminds me of the box trucks I used to drive for a furniture delivery company. I think those things had around 200 horsepower and even at always under 26,000 gross they were still exceedingly slow
The term GOAL means a lot for a rookie driver lol. I've been driving 2 years irl and never hurts to get out and make corrections that way. I currently drive a Kenworth W900 and you really gotta get out and look with that one.
I believe that the weakest engine available in the stock game has 345 HP. Generally ATS trucks are much more "relaxing" then high level ETS lorries, but below 500 HP they are a bit frustrating on loooong straight motorways with 80 mph speed limit.
It is boring in the game...but in reality most trucks are governed at, give or take, 60mph so it can be VERY boring and slow going. So unfortunately the game is more generous than real life. lol
@@Dziki_z_Lasu Yikes...55mph has to suck but then again most places in European countries are pretty small so going fast in a big vehicle could end badly.
did a 72k load in Montana witha 300hp FLB mod ((has 6 speed/2.85 gear), did get there in time lol. Did I mention it was an urgent delivery? I did also equip one though with 550hp with the 16+2/3.55 tranny for heavier hauls.
I have been seeing more face cam in the video loving these ats videos but can we have the face cam in some fs22 also where is scooter boy did he scoot out of town, I love that series I want to see more of it if possible.
@@TheFormalPickle Yeah I seen in some of your older videos that you have the route advisor on the top of your screen, what mod is that? I found one before but it crashed my game for some reason.
Maybe a weird question, but when I'm driving ats, it feels faster than it should be (at speed limit) idk how to explain it, but videos seem lower than the game, idk if it's a mod, compression, or if it's POV settings, but if anyone knows any tips to make the truck feel more realistic in veiws (no mods) and feel more realistic using the base game?
You need in-game console and then use the command "warp" lowering this will result in a slower game speed. You will have to change it every time you start up your game I think. Also your camera settings have a lot to say. Lower fov = slower feeling. Higher fov = faster feeling.
Would i join your guys game company which honest answer is no. Would i join you guys on some delivery runs because why not then yes. Already in a group and having a log book + discord + essentially a job application is not a requirement. Have World Of Trucks but only do logged loads when there is a event going on or someone i am running with takes one. To me that sounds a bit extreme to have a resume to join a simulator game company when you would be better off just getting a real life job actually trucking. Majority of the people i have or still convoy with are retired which they play because they in a sense miss actually doing it but can't anymore or are current truckers and most of them think the concept isn't terrible but think it's stupid when you try to be real with it. Most cases they just want a relaxed experience with others and flick shit at each other and have a good time about it, which sometimes makes it hard to drive when you're too busy laughing.
I'm having trouble understanding what you mean by a resume. I'm not requiring people to have a resume to join the company, the application process is there to make you put in some effort instead of not putting anything on your application or just saying "Hi". I want people to actually put forth some effort into what they do. Also, the company is on Trucksbook, which is the logbook, and the discord is how we can communicate with each other and hang out.
you bought a 200hp truck and your surprised it sucked?, also "&" is typically used as a separator (example: Fishing & Co, or Ben & Jerry's), no reason not to just use the word "and" in the title.
You want your title as short as you can get it. Below 50 characters is preferred but as close to 35 as possible is the best. So I use & instead since it uses less characters.
@@TheFormalPickle Ah interesting, also sorry about the comment, sometimes il be in a weird "angry" mood and the tiniest little things will bother me more than your average person.

Try to turn on smart sequential (in the transmission sequential mode) it shifts more than just 1 gear at a time
